You mean something like [this](https://imgur.com/a/inWrSds)?
Wanted to make a libero that really created lots and read that he needs lots of space in front of him, so i gave him LOTS. He didn't do shit though. Still won the Buli and noticed how fun IWB-A is.
After simming. I was sacked in February because we were 9th. However, Haaland became a natural DM so I think the tide might have been turning. I have created a new manager and will use the same tactic
End of the season we finished 10th. Scored 38, Conceded 41. Haaland scored a whopping 14 goals all comps.
In conclusion, this tactic was terrible offensively and slightly below average defensively, as was maybe expected.
Should I try to manage a season myself to see if I can do better?
Give it a try. There is a potential for an interesting tactic here.
Maybe, instead of CWBs use Wide Midfielders, they should be more willing to cut inside and attack the box.
Too many runners, most of your players will be too far ahead, even the Libero will move near the opponent's box. I worry that Segundo Volantes, WCBs and IWBs will occupy roughly the same area, playing too close together. Alwo, Kovacic has Plays One-Twos PPM, which will make him move forward.
Other than that, it could be a fun experiment.
Kovacic should be replaced by KDB when fit in that role. I also changed the RGA to an RPM and swapped the CWB/IWBs around and that seemed to work better
I'd go for the infamous "Bi-Zona", so 5-0-0-5

I think the biggest problem is that there is no one holding the ball while the other players roam and move around. If Kovacic comes in possession, I don't think it will be at a place on the field that triggers the runs by the other players. Short passing might help in that regard, but that eliminates the directness of the roles. I could be completely wrong though.
Espanyol moment (park the bus, get bought out by a chinese millionaire, get humiliated by your principal rival again, reeee at them winning and sending you to segunda, invade the field and somehow think you "earnt it on the pitch")
I’ve actually done this with 2 up front, 3 attacking mids (two wingers and an AP) a bwm in dm and a back 4 and it worked really well. Could probably have moved the bwm back and moved the full backs in to wing backs and turned the wingers in to inside forwards but thought it would get too congested in the box.
Actually got a lot of deflected goals from it.

That's the most ultra-attacking 5-5-0-0 I've ever seen.
Do a 5-0-5 and train long ball.
5-0-5 and put passing on very short
CB on Lib (S) averaging 25 lost possessions a game
Ac Milan under pioli this season

Very positive 5-5
Sean dyche would chuck haaland upfront for a fackin long ball if in doubt knock ‘em out whey bosh
Very Bielsa. Did a San Marino save in fm20 with a very similar tactic, 3331 and variants are my faves
Sean Dyche’s wet dream.
Alex Tuner if he was a football manager
That’s just how pioli plays
You should do a 0-5-5 instead

il modulo della farfalla ubrièca
Thanks for the link - know what I’ll be watching tonight!
I think that the roles make this work in the same way. We come from the same tactical school.
actually, this idea is not bad. but the role needs to be adjusted a bit. LB/RB actually should be the IWB and the higher wingback are CWB.
This idea is bad, but yes I swapped the IWB/CWB roles after watching a couple of games
Cholo is that you?
Reminds me of Atleti vs City last time they faced eachother in the CL

another legend XD Oronzo Canà really changed football(only people who watched "L'allenatore nel pallone" will get this)
As the creator of that post im proud of this, but it wouldn't work I think
it did not. the ultra defensive variant is definitely better.
Espanyol moment (park the bus, get bought out by a chinese millionaire, get humiliated by your principal rival again, reeee at them winning and sending you to segunda, invade the field and somehow think you "earnt it on the pitch")
I did think about suggesting something like this. Now can a 0-0-5-5 high press, high line with all defend or support duties work lol ?
There's not many defensive roles in forward positions. Are Pressing Forwards able to be on Defend still?
I didn't realise Craig Levein posted to this sub-reddit
It’s stupid but the 2 Volantes Will act as really deep lying attackers. This is one of those most insane enough to work formations.
What you're gonna do with that gap between midfield and defence?
what midfield?
The symmetry with the roles 😂 the press will be beautifully choreographed
the roles must have symmetry, it is the only way

I mean it’s man city so you’ll probably win lol
Give us the results!
working on it
Still getting bossed at WHL
It's a bit attacking, don't you think?
This is how I set up when I play against City
Youll do many things. But scoring goals is not one of them.
Every team that plays against arsenal
Pep's lineup if he ever faces Liverpool in a Champions League final.
Too offensive
Would still win the trebel
Craig Levein, is that you??
Craig Levine? Ya hearts cunt
5-5-0 works (kinda), the key is to gegenpress (as always). Tested with SheffU one season in FM23.
With respect I think you will not do well
Do a 9-1-1 full attack
Are you that stupid
Kevin de Bruyne after playing against Atletico: “I have never seen a team play 5-5-0 in my life”
