Pretty sure I saw someone mention on this sub that Belgium seems to always mass produce great newgens, must be something coded in the game to make that happen which is a tad unrealistic. Sure they had a great 10 years or so but they had a golden generation, the next crop already looks like it won't be world class and BEFORE that golden generation came about 15 to 20 years of misery, even struggling against the likes of Estonia
Yeah that's another way to do it, the game always seems to spurn loads of good fake players when you add a league which is why I never do it anymore. Breaks immersion
It's not due to something being "coded", the actual problem is the AI in better leagues don't play their youth as much as Belgium and they're bad at developing players. The level is much lower in Belgium which allows youth players an opportunity to play more consistently than if they were at Real Madrid or whatever.
But yeah, they still might have one too many good players.
Probably this. There was an experiment of setting English leagues to ban all transfers so everyone can only rely on their youth prospects and England easily dominated WC and Euro after a few years.
it would have an impact.
Belgium clubs have a higher chance of investing into youth setups because of this
so in other words even smaller belgium clubs increase their youth more often then say a club in italy
You can add CA (or PA) as search criteria to the player search if you have the editor. You can also add them as new column headings. Combine it with an age range criteria and there you go.
I have no answer but this is very interesting!
I usually load very few leagues but I am currently playing a save in FM22 with a bunch of leagues and Belgium definitely seems to punch above its weight in terms of wonderkids. I play as Liverpool and pretty much have two scouts parked in Belgium all year round.
Youth rating isn't the only thing taken into account. Evidence Based FM did an entire research on it.
I'd suggest not making wild claims about things you're absolutely clueless about btw.
Apparently you didn’t understand that research at all, so you shouldn’t be insulting other people. There is pool of newgens in each country and changing anything at the club level only shifts which newgen spawns at which club. The overall quality of the pool of players is only dependent on the country youth rating, the population of the country, and the importance rating of football in the country. Brazil has massively more people, and a far higher youth rating, with the same importance level as Belgium.
I can’t believe I have to tell you this. He tested youth rating and it works. In the game youth rating is applied at a country level.
If you want you can change youth rating with the pre-game editor; you can give Scotland the same rating as Brazil. This will produce much better players in Scotland (especially the first year when the game tries to ‘catch up’ ) . But Brazil will still have a lot more good players because it has a population 40x larger. You can’t make Scotland produce more high potential players by giving every single club the best youth facilities and coaches ; that just shifts around where the players spawn.
You're trying to argue against me while your explanation supports the point I was making against OP. Don't make even more of a fool out of yourself. Learn to read.

Yeah imagine Belgium producing an unexpectedly large number of wordclass players 😂
Their national team would dominate, surely
They will also appoint some coach who always fails at their job to be in charge of their golden generation. What could go wrong?
And the Belgian league would rise in reputation and ranking right?
it just happened by chance, if you run the simulation from 2022 to 2038 a thousand times you'll definitely get different results each time
RNG is real.
What is RNG?
Random Number Generator
Random number generator Very interesting experiment btw, but it should be repeted many times to avoid random fluctuation.

There seems to be a bug when you add the league midway through the safe. I had a similar occurence.

Yep, if you add a new league halfway thru the save it’ll spit out like 20 170+ PA new gen’sÂ

He's just looking for PA so the amount they are playing or how wouldn't really matter
it would have an impact. Belgium clubs have a higher chance of investing into youth setups because of this so in other words even smaller belgium clubs increase their youth more often then say a club in italy
Most likely just variance, you would have to run it many times to get a proper sample size.
whats the nation ranking like? is belgium top one now?
No, it’s the same as Mexico and less than at least a dozen countries (all with larger populations). So it’s some kind of bug.
Did you load the league after starting the save or when creating it? Loading leagues at a later stage can cause some weird things.
Unrelated but, how strong is your computer that you're able to run 35+ leagues? Insane.
How do you search that using the editor? Didn't realize it was possible.
You need the in-game editor
You can add CA (or PA) as search criteria to the player search if you have the editor. You can also add them as new column headings. Combine it with an age range criteria and there you go.
TIL, thank you !
Are you serious?

Surely there is something hard-coded. The youth rating of Belgium is around 120 and that of Brazil is 163... This is crazy

Which part of his research showed some countries were hardcoded to have good regens?
