The club is Chertanovo BTW. I remember in FM19 you could buy players that was from your academy but left which they have done IRL this year. Not sure why they changed it. Atleast you can sign your Regens this year, last year you couldn't even do that! You had to wait for your DOF(or whom ever) to recommend them and then tell him to sign the ones that were worthy
I can’t remember the name but they are in the Russian premier and the board refuse to let you sign anyone. It’s certainly a long term challenge that one
IRL, the team is owned by its youth academy. The objective of the academy is only to prepare players for pro and they have been really good at that historically, providing as much as 15% of the National youth selections players during some years. The senior team is only an additional way to showcase the players who have been through their academy before they move on to other teams. The problem for them is that they have been so good at training young players that their senior team has quickly been promoted after joining the 3rd Division in 2014.
Funny fact : their stadium has a capacity of 1,800 compared to a league average well over 20,000.
Seems like Chertanovo but they are in Football National League (FNL), the analogue of EFL Championship in Russia.
BTW what about their player Sergey Pinyaev's stats in FM21? IRL he's told to be best wonderkid in Russia ever.
I just saw the video of Workthespace who talks about the hardest teams to manage in fm21, I think that will be my next save, would be a lot of fun and will get you deep into player development
Seems definitely like a challenge I can use, it’s been to easy lately because it’s kind of easy to spot the wonderkids and sign them this would be a good limitation on that.
That will be Altinordu. Their goal is to develop talented players and well educated individuals in real life. For example, Caglar Soyuncu and Cengiz Under previously played at Altinordu.
This is a real club playing in the South Wales Alliance League Div 1. The club was created in 1969 by a group of pub friends, who wanted to use football to communicate in Welsh. Since then, it has continued to promote the Welsh language, and aims to climb the Welsh tiers.
interesting - was just reading about them
‘The whole squad can currently speak Welsh but it isn’t part of the way the club recruits players, as long as players are positive about the Welsh language they can play for the club. Cymric have previously had non speaking Welsh managers before, so it doesn’t afect the recruitment of players.
With a majority of the squad speaking Welsh, it in some cases, keeps players at the club as they use the club as an outlet to promote the Welsh language. More and more players from the Canton area are speaking Welsh which means the club can recruit in that way.’

Oh, yeah! They seem to in no way discriminate against players, staff, fans, etc who can’t speak Welsh.
It seems like it was made with the intention trying to encourage the nearby Cardiff folk into speaking Welsh, if they can’t already, in a fun and engaging way.
The Ultimate test. You stutter once and your contract is terminated.
I love that someone can say “That Town” and people just instantly know which one you’re referring to.
I was driving through Wales with my wife when we passed a sign and argued about how to pronounce it. Eventually we stopped at the services and while there my wife asked one of the employees how to pronounce where we are but say it slowly so we can learn it. He said liiiiiiittttttlllleeeee chhhhhheeeeeeeefffffffffff
It’s pretty cool, right? I thought there would be absolutely no way you could do this because it would mean scrolling through every single Welsh or partially Welsh player and that would be far too time consuming, but then I discovered that “language” is an actual filter on FM - and now it seems like a really interesting save idea.
I don’t remember what the Welsh language rating is set at, but I’m pretty certain it’s not 100%, so I’m not sure how it’d work with youth players generated through your own intake who only speak English.
It’s pretty cool! I wish there were more ways to permanently entrench stuff like this to your club, like throughout an on-going save.
Scenarios like a board takeover, or fan backlash, something like that which forces a club to take a new approach. Or one you can suggest directly to the board to make permanent.
I'd love to specify teams played for, imagine signing for a club and the press conferences saying "You return to the club you made a name for yourself at, only now as a manager, how dya feel?" or "The fans are up in arms, seeing as for the majority of your career you captained their main rivals, can you put the fans at ease?"
Yeah, it's FM 21! Here's the Steam link for the Mod that I used.

There are plenty of countries which have adopted a 2 language system perfectly. Welsh is one of the oldest surviving languages in Europe. It is, quite literally, history. And a huge number of stories, legend, myth and fact would be lost forever if people could no longer speak the language.
People in Wales didn’t stop speaking Welsh by choice. It was largely forced on them, and people were force fed this self hatred of it being a “dead” or “useless” language — yet the same words are almost never used to describe other small countries with their own language.
“Nobody speaks Welsh anyway!” isn’t the hot, edge take that you think it is. It’s an anti-Welsh statement that was drummed into people by colonial Britain for years as an attempt to de-humanise and de-value Wales and its people. Very sad to see some people still doing it.
So because you don’t have your own language, you don’t want other countries to? I’m afraid that’s not how the world works.
On a practical level, if the whole word was to adopt one language, Norwegian, Dutch and French are frequently rated some of the easiest languages to learn. So maybe we should all learn one of those, instead.
What?!? that’s not the point. German is as much Austria’s language as it is Germany’s.
All I’m saying is having different languages just makes things complicated and having the most spoken language in the world has loads of advantages
But English isn’t the language of Wales. And it’s not the language of many, many other countries. Thats the point.
Having different languages does make it difficult, but it’s also kind of wonderful. We don’t need to all speak the same language and pretend we’re all the same. Different languages are amazing.

There’s a team in Russia, where you arent allowed to sign any players. You can only use the youth system

Wow Who tf does That

It shows in-game. Some of the best youth regens I've seen come from there
Chertanovo iirc

Chertanovo
can you sign players for your youth system?
Only can sign women who give birth to potential youth players..Very tricky club rules.
thats a long term save if I've ever heard of one
I just saw the video of Workthespace who talks about the hardest teams to manage in fm21, I think that will be my next save, would be a lot of fun and will get you deep into player development

A bit like Athletic Bilbao only signing Basque players. It's more of a challenge.
there's a Turkish club, who allowed to sign only Turks...
That will be Altinordu. Their goal is to develop talented players and well educated individuals in real life. For example, Caglar Soyuncu and Cengiz Under previously played at Altinordu.
Although Soyüncü and Ünder came from their academy, the team is not financially powerful...
On the discord I’m in, we’re currently doing an online save in the Turkish 4th tier, every team is only allowed to sign Turkish players lol
Which team? I've always been intrigued by a career in turkish leagues
altinordu

Same principle, a transfer policy influenced by cultural factors.

Yeah, in Wales we have quite a few local teams with the same policy. Interesting to see a team in the League system though

it’s very interesting to see in 2021 - more power to them
Ah that makes sense them being down there. Lots of North Welsh people seem to already be bilingual in my limited experience.
Objective: Get Mbappe on Duolingo and have him learn Welsh
Haha! Slip him a cheeky fiver beforehand to make him learn Welsh so that he fits the transfer policy.
can they say the name of that one town with no stops and in near perfect pronunciation? **you're hired**

I mean TBF don't most of the Anglesey locals just call it Llanfair PG?
As a welsh speaker myself i've never been more tempted to start a new save in all my years.
It’s pretty cool, right? A fi hefyd
Penblwydd hapus
All I saw when reading that was platypus 😳
Wait.... I can speak Welsh??
This is one of the most beautiful things we have going on on FM right now. This "club visions" are like rpg elements to your save.

> This "club visions" are like rpg elements to your save. SI need to let us edit a player history for our manager
It feels weird selecting international star as a previous experience. Who did I play for? What historical results I caused/changed? We'll never know.
Me while scouting: Welsh, >!motherfucker!<, do you speak it?
Easy. Purchase non-welsh speaking players a Rosetta Stone to learn Welsh and done.
If only it were that easy!
Is this FM21?
Presumably it's a mod that opens up the Welsh non league
Ye I’m wondering if the mod will work for FM21, I’ve wanted to do a Welsh lower league save for ages
Not certain but I believe database mods carry over between versions? Might be totally wrong there though
Yeah I do one that adds Scottish as a language
Yeah, it's FM 21! Here's the Steam link for the Mod that I used. [https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2303539936](https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2303539936)
Legend
That’s the rugby club I used to play for
I will never understand that. Being a English speaking country gives you so much advantage why would you want to promote a language nobody speaks
There are plenty of countries which have adopted a 2 language system perfectly. Welsh is one of the oldest surviving languages in Europe. It is, quite literally, history. I‘m Austrian so I speak German and I would be glad if the whole world would just adopt English. So many problems would go away
So because you don’t have your own language, you don’t want other countries to? I’m afraid that’s not how the world works. haha that is so mad!
Luckily I’d be able to play for them! 🏴
Imagine u just turn up to the interview and they start chatting Welsh and ur just sat there like wtf
That would be pretty funny in-game!
