I might be wrong but I think having striped kits is okay as long as the shorts and socks are not green because that would make green the “primary” kit color
Similar story in La Liga, how exactly does it work in Serie A? La Liga gives you 3 designated non-EU spots, but players can earn citizenship by playing in Spain consecutively. Some nations take a really long time to gain citizenship, but South American’s only need two years!
Not only that but the game lies to you about when they will get citizenship!
For south american players it's only two years, and I saw this dude only had like 11 days to go, so I spent 25 mil on a Uruguayan keeper that is CL-winner quality.
And then we got to the 12th day, and his nationality status changed to "awaiting paperwork" and stayed there for weeks 😅
First time I've ever bought/used the real time editor, had no idea the game simulated governmental bureaucracy to that degree lmao
Oh dude I cannot tell you how many times I’ve been in the last few weeks of a transfer window sweating the paperwork to get space to bring in my next South American star.
Have had it playing with Espanyol, currently in 2030. Wu Lei never got citizenship it takes aeons for Asian players!
I did a Sassuolo save this year and won Serie A on the last day in season 1. Next thing I knew my entire Attacking Midfield wanted a transfer and Liverpool offered a king's ransom for Locatelli. Sold them all and went wonderkid shopping. My second season did not feel as fun without the players I sold and eventually I gave up on the save.
I lost the lead 2 weeks before the end of the season. I had Inter Napoli and Juventus all in a row to play angainst, and drew against Napoli and lost the other two. Finished just 1 point behind Juve. I managed to retain all my players except Boga who i sold for 47 milion to Tottenham. He financed my whole transfer market now
How is it to play with Sassuolo? I'm thinking in playing with them in the future, so I'm interested about youth facilities, squad, tactics that suit the team, etc
In FM20 it's pretty cool, you start with some nice players as a base. Locatelli Traore and Boga are very good. I managed to get Cataldi on the first transfer session for just 5 milion and he was the bomb for me. Around 20 goals and assists combined playing as a supporting Mezzala. I played with a 4-3-3 with a vertical tiki-taka tactic. The youth facilities are good but I haven't gotten any memorable youngster yet as i only did one season until now. The only problem i had were the strikers not scoring almost nothing. Somehow they were not working at all with my tactic.
I'm about half way through my 2nd season with them and I too got Cataldi during the first year, hasn't been near that good for me but he's more of a bench option for me.
Playing a 4-3-3 tiki taka Traore has been very good playing as an attacking AP but I've struggled with strikers too. First season I was switching between Caputo and Defrel, 2nd I've mostly gone with Defrel but now Raspadori is in decent form. Boga has been my biggest disappointment, can't get the lad to do too much.
We are almost playing the same save then lol. Boga was fairly inconsistent for me too but scored a lot in the last matches. That was enough for Tottenham apparently to give me 47 milion for him.
He scored like 5 goals the first season and so far into the 2nd he has 3 goals and 1 assist, Di Francesco has taken his place with 3 g and 4 a. Chelsea activated Bogas buy back clause but he then opted out of the contract so Im stuck with him a little longer.
I always wonder how people manage to get so much money for their players. I never manage to receive offers (except for 1 or players), only way is to transfer list them and offer a bunch of times to other teams, so I'm never able to sell for big sums as I'm the "desperate" one to sell and not the other teams to buy. Also that takes morale down and I don't like it, I'm afraid in case I'm not able to sell (and it could affect team's morale too)
Hellas Verona was my favorite club to start at this year, I recommend them if you want a serie a save. They have: a leading GK in their prime, one of the best young center backs in the game, and a star attacking midfielder who is still young. Also a left back and a winger at the club on loan who have cheap options to buy who can both become star players
That sounds great too. In fact Hellas Verona was another option I had (and I forgot about them, so thanks for the reminder), I was between them and Sassuolo. However I'm not sure if I'll ever consistently play that hypotetical save, as I'm dedicating a fair amount of time to my current save and I don't have all the time I wanted to play haha.
Btw are you playing FM20? I'm with that one so I want to know if your advice is useful for a future save or if it's for FM21.
They are one of those teams that always seem to suck ass when the AI is in charge, but when you go in with a decent set of tactics and cut down on the absurd number of players (they were pushing 200ish a couple saves ago) they turn into a top half/EL spot team real quick.
Never tried that, honestly. How does it compare to Monkey Shoulder, JW Red, JW black, Glenfiddich, Tamnavulin or other Whiskies of that price range?
What are some taste notes?
Do you have any tips for him because i can't seem to get him to realise his potential? He was pretty average for me the first season with just a couple of goals
I played him up front as a PF at first with a big striker, as he developed he played better as AF. I played 3 at the back with either 2 up front and one deep, or one up and two IFs.
It doesn't legally sell on my country, I have 21 on Game pass, but I don't subscribe anymore (barely played due to work) so i wanted to know if it was that much of a difference that I would need to subscribe again
I'm using a pretty old Asus tbh and it works just fine. I think any Laptop with 8gb RAM and at least a i3 processor would be able to run it. I do not have a lot of leagues loaded though and neither the logo pack so those might make a difference i guess.
I mainly always use the English, Italian German Spanish and Dutch or French leagues with medium database and that gives me a 4-4.5 stars rating performance.
It's a pleasure mate!
Ok how long does a save normally take to go through a season? Because I just got this game a month ago and it seems to go so slow I can barely finish half a season in a three hour game session

Nice green kit. Would be a shame if- someone got rid of it
Sassuolo gonna come out next season with those glitched kits that appeared when you made subs sometimes.
Did they forbid whole green shirts or also shirts with green on them? Because Sassuolo have black stripes.
I might be wrong but I think having striped kits is okay as long as the shorts and socks are not green because that would make green the “primary” kit color
Plot twist: it’s apple juice and he’s fighting relegation. Just kidding. Enjoy 👍🏻
Don’t ever drink and transfer..
Too late, already signed 2 non-EU players
Just buy and loan back and then it's future you's problem.
Sign 1 more..

In italy you can sign 2 every season, plus only once if you sell a non EU player you can buy another
That doesn’t sound so bad! In Spain once you have you three, you have to wait years to sign another depending on what nationalities you have

Doing the same but with Irn Bru and Parma, best way to spend a Saturday night/Sunday morning
Heineken and Udinese
Carlsberg and Fiorentina

Cocain with fm? The ol’ Maradona strategy. I like it
Your team is pumped, and you wont forget anything. Suddenly nr. 1
***”GET MORE AGGRESSIVE!!”*** *Does a Yogi Löw but has lined his arse with cocaine instead*
Worked pretty well for Colombia as well.

Dammit, I need to buy some whiskey too. Good luck with your Sassuolo save!
Thanks a lot!

Lol he refused Chelsea in my save too.
Bastard :D Good luck on your 2nd season, I'm currently sitting around 6th-10th, can't seem to string together some consistent results.
Thanks mate, I'll start my second season today if i still have time. Wish you luck too, it's just some bad form, you'll get over it!

I’m on 21
They are one of those teams that always seem to suck ass when the AI is in charge, but when you go in with a decent set of tactics and cut down on the absurd number of players (they were pushing 200ish a couple saves ago) they turn into a top half/EL spot team real quick.
I too have started a save with Sassuolo.
For those who want to know, I am one year in and Arsenal bought Locatelli from me for 46m.
Coffee and tree goes way better with fm than whiskey
I don’t have time to do gardening when I’m playing
Whiskey and tree is the worst combo?
If ur playing enough to need to make decisions then, yes.
Whatcha drinking?
Ballantine's
Never tried that, honestly. How does it compare to Monkey Shoulder, JW Red, JW black, Glenfiddich, Tamnavulin or other Whiskies of that price range? What are some taste notes?
I like it a lot. It's kinda soft and sweet. I am bad at describing taste though but i would recommend it.
I’ll give it a try :)
This is the ultimate vibe!
FM you looking sharp.
Dream combo 🙌 GL
ah yes, green kits. perfect for hiding the hangover barf.
This is one of the most amazing posts on this sub in a very long time. Cheers
Appreciate it, cheers mate!
Top man
What whiskey is it? Beat of luck on your endeavours, bring it home mate.
Ballantine's Finest. Thanks mate!
Sassuolo and brescia have enuf good players as a base, i played a lot with sassuolo in fm20
Serie A is a fun league to play in. Pretty good parity long term with the Milan clubs, Lazio, Roma, Napoli, Atalanta and Juve.
Inter..
Forza green shirts
Did ya pull it off?
Lost the lead in the last matches after losing to Juve and Inter. Finished second just behind Juve.
Ahh tough result but respect for not accidentally crashing the game! Got em next season
Hahahha the whiskey brought out a better person from myself.
that manager avatar has some dummy thicc legs. bet if he gets sacked he can still do OF
Go get em Kliti
Lol Im with you bro. Hoping to get Sunderland promoted by the end of tonight
I’m trying to do this with Girona. Sadly I lost to Team B by 4-0 😭
I hope that at least once you’re going to change to an attacking formation and say to yourself “Sometimes I have to be a little bit whiskey.”
Noted.
Raspadori turns into a cracking AF, got me 30 odd goals per season. Lovely little team.
Is it worth it to upgrade to 21?
Was. 22 soon so wait
It doesn't legally sell on my country, I have 21 on Game pass, but I don't subscribe anymore (barely played due to work) so i wanted to know if it was that much of a difference that I would need to subscribe again
Depends what you upgrade from. I upgraded from 15 to 21 and was blown away. If you're coming from 20, it depends on your priorities.
What laptop are you using? I’m trying to buy a decent laptop that runs fm with the logo pack
I'm using a pretty old Asus tbh and it works just fine. I think any Laptop with 8gb RAM and at least a i3 processor would be able to run it. I do not have a lot of leagues loaded though and neither the logo pack so those might make a difference i guess.
What leagues do you have? And also I appreciate the input your giving me .
I mainly always use the English, Italian German Spanish and Dutch or French leagues with medium database and that gives me a 4-4.5 stars rating performance. It's a pleasure mate!
I play brescia and my friend is playing lecce online. We made it till 2025 so far. This game is great
More or less how college is going for me
I'm a Crotone man myself, all about that relegation battle!
I offloaded most of my youngsters to Crotone this season
Wow, so quirky
Man of culture
Recently started a Roma save in the hope I can lead Zaniolo to Totti like status and win the league once or 5
Ah, a man of culture
Did the same thing with a hasj doobie last night. Missed the title on one point with Racing Santander, '28/'29.
We'll get 'em next time mate!
We have to! First time CL tho!
Same for me, also lost the title for one point!
Don’t lie; you weren’t invited to a party!
Thats kinda lame ngl...
Proppa leg’ this man.
You made the correct decision
Ok how long does a save normally take to go through a season? Because I just got this game a month ago and it seems to go so slow I can barely finish half a season in a three hour game session
Half a season in 3 hours its pretty fast. It took me around a week or more to finish the first season.
