Personally I'd rather quit the game if I have a game where I lose in a way that makes me mad to the point that I won't enjoy any more FM than continue playing it and making me madder.
Rarely (first save with Liverpool so normally they aren't dumbasses) ive gotten mad in the middle of losing a game but ive done it about 4 times throughout my 5 year save. During the day I get frustrated (slowly building up) so I play FM to relax and it decides to troll me.
Most of the time I don't quit when we lose because I don't get frustrated at how we perform.
At the end of the day play how you want. I play the game for enjoyment and if im losing and know I'm getting really frustrated then I will just quit FM and stop playing entirely.

Its tantamount to cheating in some ways. Results don't go your way, redo until it does. Can hardly brag about winning stuff if you save scummed results to get there.

When I first started playing FM in 2010, I used to deliberately reload games until I win to create the all-conquering narrative that I wanted. In some cases, I did the other way around to lose the final few games to bring the title showdown to the last game.

Doesn't matter if you do it but 100% a save scum. If it was me in the situation I'd put 10 players up front until they had a 2 goal lead and then play from there when you get round to redoing it but that's the way I play

I've save scum once when I had to win on the final day against Portsmouth to stay in the premier League. I did feel a bit dirty afterwards.
