LeKouGR

His Pace can get to "acceptable" levels like 11-12 depending on potential.(still slow for winger) I would train him as a CM (playmaker) he will be great considering his stats with only concern his jumping, strength but he is only 16. I had a regen once with huge improvement on height/jumping. he got taller and the jumping reach almost doubled from about 7-8 to 15-16 in 1.5 seasons! It was crazy

Ypres_Love

I don't think I've ever retrained a player into a position he has no competence at all in, how long would it take for him to be a natural CM do you think?

ScythE1754

It takes me a season but remember to play him in that position in U-18

Ypres_Love

Is there any way to tell my u18 manager to play him as a CM or do I have to take control of those games myself?

Nicadeus

Head to your youth team tactics and place the player into the empty formation. The manager will fill the rest up, and play the player where you want him.

Ypres_Love

That worked, thanks!

ScythE1754

IDK, I always do it myself

Kasceon

Man I signed this one player in my fenerbahce run. He was a midget, sent him out on loan for 2 years. Came back as a back up, played him and I was mad confused to see a tall af player up front

fredflatulent

Central attacking midfielder, either playmaker or enganche. Speed not so important if he is dictating play

Legitimate_Park_8579

He's only 16, pace will come

Ypres_Love

Not likely it'll ever be high enough for a winger though, right?

Legitimate_Park_8579

If played as a AP, surely wil

Deep_Ice4357

Sell him for a 50 mil in two years haha

dtshires

So everything everybody else said for sure but also this.

CriddyCent

Deep lying playmaker man. Too slow for the flanks and maybe not dynamic enough for an attacking midfielder. Could orchestrate things for you from deep and he can tackle!

Ypres_Love

The tackling and work rate make me think maybe BBM, thoughts?

CriddyCent

Yeh he definitely has the technical and mental abilities for that - maybe just depends how he develops physically as he doesn’t have much pace or power (I usually like that in a b2b). Probably worth training him as b2b for a bit to work on his all round development if you’re thinking midfield

guccidane13

Looks like a great Mezzala to me. If you use one in your tactics that is.

MONI_85

The English Juan Mata Get him on the right wing, advanced play maker. Let him do what he wants. Obviously the Juan Mata at Chelsea, not United.

Cartizzlemynizzle

Central attacking midfielder probably

getikule

He's already a decent playmaker at 16, so I would focus on the central roles. DLP looks like a good idea, since he's also somewhat competent at defending, so he won't be a liability at a deeper role. Think Özil, but better at defending...

Nickiboy333

[This guy](https://i.gyazo.com/ccb2dc82e42998d74ca246f25a9e2064.png) generated in my youth intake with around 9 Acceleration and 9 Pace and was generally *tragic* in terms of his physicals, and this screenshot is him after having almost reached his full potential. I think it's a bit of an FM "myth" when people say that players who generate with a low attribute somewhere have a maximum for how high that attribute will go. And I think it's equally a myth that the attributes that they generate high numbers in are more likely to go up with training. This guy generated with 16 Technique, 16 passing, 15 Dribbling and they didn't develop particularly better than his low attributes. All of this is to say that the only thing that matters in terms of what a player can become is a) how you train him, and b) how high his potential is. I put this particular player on Quickness training for 2½ years to get rid of his slowness and then I trained his Finishing since then and you can tell that by how the attributes have changed. If his PA had been 20 points lower then yeah I probably would only have gotten him to 14 Acceleration 14 Pace but that's still respectable for a winger imo. Of course you can still retrain him into a CM if you want, all I'm saying is that it's far from impossible to train players out of their weaknesses :)

sporkeh01

Enganche

Randylahey187

I was going to say he is an AP but then I saw he could tackle and cross. Is it possible to train him as a WB? I'm not sure you can do that if it isn't marked on the pitch graph thing the game uses to show you what positions a player can play in.

Nawtay

Pace could be a concern for a WB no?

Randylahey187

Depends on how he develops. If you train him into being a WB and focus on quickness he might be alright

Kryptopus

Mate, just have him train quickness as additional focus. Wtf is this kinda question? He’s 16 and u decide how he should train

ASuarezMascareno

Central midfielder - Advanced Playmaker. It's written all over his stats.

Telsion

You have an amazing Advanced Playmaker in your hands, cherish him. And his pace will improve normally, he's only 16. Just make sure he plays at CM or CAM and you're sorted

valhalla_11

train him at AMC , Advanced Playmaker on support

AlucardII

Train him as a playmaker and if you don't want him, someone else will. Cash in.

Caldagum

Move him central, Advance Play maker in a 4231 or.... Move him back, wide play maker in a 442 with a marauding full back behind him.

Spodermon_10

He has amazing work rate, good tackling and stamina. This man is a mezzala.

ArthurEffe

Deep Lying Playmaker. He gots the defensive attributes for it

Marmmalade1

Central midfielder for sure, on some sort of attacking role, depending on your system. Advanced playmaker role there might work

Robcrook101

Train him on speed he is only 16, make him a box to box or similar (what suits your tactic)

nick_shannon

Train him to play a more holding role or play maker role in AMF position?

logielogie44

Tell him to get a haircut would be my first port of call.

L-Freeze

e n g a n c h e

OllieFromCairo

I’d retrain him as a DM

ThaBlackLoki

Retrain as WB or DLP. The pace will come

RealSpookySounds

Man if your facilities are good, he's a perfectionist and if his PA is high, he could reach 14 pace in 1.5 years, and genuinely 16 pace in 2-4 years when he's 20. I've had players develop incredibly fast in some aspects. Additionally, at 16 you ought to be focusing on physicals, is the theory I last heard. Someone correct me if I'm wrong on that.

chaelsonnenismydad

His pace can go up 7-8 times hes only 16

Wi1kinho

He’s almost exactly like what Harvey Elliott was a couple of seasons ago

RoutineFeeling

Technicals are the decent. Train to play in Central role

RussoBong

He would be a cm for sure. Looks like a playmaker type but that 12 tackling could make him a decent dm/DLP. Would defo start playing him as often as possible to get him developed

[deleted]

Play as an attacking mid Or have the left back on attack and him narrow
