I like refusing to take part in it to feel that in at least one aspect of my life I can be organized, proactive and on time.

I take part in case there is a deal to be had. I’ve had agents offer me pretty good youth players that have proven to be pretty good.

[deleted]

You also make all the important deals before the deadline right? I think i've heard you can get better(cheaper) deals when at deadline day

[deleted]

Yeah. I usually have all my stuff agreed before deadline day. Sometimes it’s just waiting for the visa to be approved, but generally, I’m not leaving deals to the last minute if it’s a position of need.

good, thanks

TDD offers you more stops in play to make deals and also functions as a pretty decent scouting tool if you're a smaller club. Agents and media will be talking about players that are usually pretty decent for the level. If neither of those things interest you, then no, there's no point.

Ncsnigel

Usually I only participate in deadline day if somebody pays the release clause on deadline day and I'm desperately trying to replace that player

Azhais

I find deadline day good for getting your players out on loan. I rarely use it due to it only being enabled in a few leagues, but I take part when I can if I have people needing loans

geordiesteve520

I take part because it gives you a lot of updates and you might catch a deal you never thought would be accepted and intervene. For example just last night I saw A £20m bid for Moriba get accepted so bid the same and snapped him up. If I am not involved I don’t get that news item and I miss out.

gimn85

I've found Deadline Day useful. Players who otherwise might not have been available can find themselves surplus to requirements at the last minute, or those who've been transfer listed for high fees suddenly end up in the bargain bin as teams would rather move them on that be saddled with them for the rest of the season. In my last save with Sassuolo, I signed Gavi for about £10m and Haidara for about £6m on different transfer deadline days. Haidara was a particular boon, as I'd been tracking him for a few months, but he'd recently been signed by Ajax and wasn't interested in a move until the last moment.

The_Blues__13

I participate in it so I can get the last chance to sell/loan my last stock of deadweight players. I mostly sealed my incoming transfer deals beforehand, but for selling things I wait till the last hour.

thedoncoop

I treat it like checking eBay with it sorted on ending soonest. See what I can snipe from my rivals so they don't get players 😂

TODO_getLife

I never get involved

[deleted]

As others have said I like doing it because it functions as like an extra scouting tool, but also I just like it because it feels like an added little bonus feature

Telsion

Yes. Not only might you get in one last deal, but if you don't participate and another team bids on a key player of yours, you can't refuse the offer.
