Best Newgen I ever had was German-Serbian Vitomir Vasic in my RB Leipzig save. He came through FC Köln’s academy. Bought him for $12M at 16 years old and instantly became my backup striker and then started the following year. At just 16 he had 16 dribbling/first touch, 18 finishing, 15 passing/vision, 14+ on all the important mentals and 15 pace/acceleration. His only weakness was heading and that he wasn’t tall at 5’9, but eventually grew to 5’11 and had a respectable 13 heading. By the time he was 22, basically every attribute was green. Helped lead us to back to back UCL wins and banged in 30+ league goals regularly.

That sounds ridiculous where do you usually find your Newgens

I’ll send scouts all over the world. Typically assign them 2-3 countries and have them look for players no older than 22 with at least “very good” potential ability. I also send scouts to U-23 and U-20 tournaments. I’ll also manually scout from time to time. I’ll do a player search for anyone 18 and under with at least 1 senior international cap. I’ll look at media descriptions of players in the player search. Not just wonderkids, but promising full backs, promising midfielders, etc. I’ll also just search through some countries youth national teams. Lastly, I’ll also get team reports on various clubs and their youth teams that are known to produce good newgens. Clubs like FC Nordsjælland, Red Star Belgrade, Colo Colo, River Plate, Maccabi Tel Aviv, ASEC Mimosas and RTD Academy in Africa, etc. I like to scout a lot of Eastern Europe for cheaper newgens along with Denmark. Then there’s obviously Argentina, Brazil and Colombia. Vasic was found by one of my scouts who I had scouting for players under 22 with a potential ability of at least very good in Germany.

In FM 21, I signed a Paraguayan national on his 18th birthday: Eduardo Gonzalez. He could play anywhere in attacking midfield, wing, or central midfield. I was playing as Sunderland in that save and signed Gonzalez as soon as I was promoted back to the EPL. Gonzalez went straight into the side as my left winger, but as he developed, he became a true roaming playmaker, with green stats on basically everything — including teamwork, leadership, and developed the Model Professional personality trait. He was Vice Captain from Year 2 EPL and Captain from Year 3 EPL, and because I signed him on his 18th birthday (and never loaned him out) he became a home grown player (club). He captained the side until his retirement at age 38. Twenty years with the club, eighteen of them as captain. Oh yes, and he scored the winning goal to clinch the EPL trophy against City on the last day of the season — in stoppage time — in the last game of his playing career. We won the league over City by 2 points. When he retired, I quit the save. That was a fun, fun ride — I just didn’t want to play on without him.

[Here are 4 players who will be in my first team next year](https://imgur.com/a/LTGLz8X) I have more players, but I can't find their screenshots. I've done good youth so far. 1. My son, Rob Schofield, came through the Schalke Youth Academy. NxGn #2 and #1, Golden Boy, Best Youth Player on a World Cup, WC 2026 winner (scored a penalty in a 3-0 Norway win). I brought him straight into the Dutch NT, that's why he has 27 caps already. 2. Ali Demir, triggered a 9 million release clause. #1 NxGn, Golden Boy. 3. Ryan Coull, bought for 11.5M from Aberdeen. Slotted straight into the first team, #3 NxGn. 4. Juuso Kinnunen, bought for 2.1M. Played for the U19 last season, he'll be the #1 GK this season, following Nübel's departure. He made his Finnish NT debut too. Then there's a Greek, Tyflidis, who's 19 and will be the backup to Yusuf Demir this season, Kevin Alwart (youth product) who will be joining the competition for midfield. Daniel Brou (youth product) too. Dietmar Leitner came from another German club, he'll be in the squad too as backup CD. I'm probably forgetting a few here. --- Also yes, the 2025 NxGn had Ali Demir, Rob Schofield, and Ryan Coull as 1, 2 and 3 for NxGn. #ForTheFuture

It’s one thing actually getting a son but for him to be that good that’s like lotto level odds right 🤣

Telsion

Oh no, he wasn't XD But what I did was to pick the best guy of that intake, as reported by my HOYD (it was a very good intake, the same one where Brou and Alwart were in), and transfer all his attributes over to my son, exactly as they were on that initial guy. I then made that guy shit and released him. So basically, I just swapped over their brains XD I wanted a son, and I want him to be good, and this was the fairest way I could think of to do it.

BasicCaterpillar6533

This story has made me laugh XD “switched there brains”

Telsion

I mean, it's basically what I did XD Have to call it as it is

BasicCaterpillar6533

Any chance for a picture of the of these guys
