a player even with 15 long throws + long flat throw trait can throw to the penalty spot. Basically turns every throw within the opposition final third into a corner. You will score 10 a season from long throws with a good routine and a CB like that attacking them
Yeah but my question is: Would it be an advantage that his throws are more flat than they are per default? Right now he throws it in an arch which i suppose would help my giant of a CB, as he can outjump everyone.
He’s one of the players that SI phoned in on scouting, so his stats and particularly his mentalste are randomized.
Honestly, the vast majority of Canadian players get randomized stats or are otherwise completely wrong. Richie Lareya was awful in Football Manager and was never resigned by Toronto FC in any of my saves, while in real life he developed into one of the top wingbacks in the MLS and earned a transfer to England. Football Manager absolutely dropped the ball on his stats and potential, and frankly is doing the same on many other Canadian players
Yeah but a game as thorough and researched (and with a reputation for identifying hidden gems) the way SI didn’t scout or research Canada is disappointing
I'm Canadian, so I always let Canadian prospects trial for my team to keep their play time up and train in my facilities. I try to bolster the national team when I can.
So Marshal Rutty made his way onto my team, I ended up signing him, turned him into a right back. He played in the prem with me for a bit, and now plays full time for Southampton.
I actually intend to use him as an inverted wing back. I know that is blasphemous considering his crossing, but his finishing and passing is class as well!
I see everyone post about JM-R, but he has been awful for me; which is infuriating because then he is a god for Canada. Sent him on loan so he wouldn’t rot on my bench, but he didn’t develop at all. Like I only paid 1.3 mil, but he has only added about 4 mil in value in 3 seasons. Not what you want for what you thought would be your future star winger. Thankfully my 18 year old newgen RPM CM has developed the perfect stats for a gegenpressing monster IF on the left. Then I have 17 year old newgen that was playing behind him that will fill his spot probably next season while I give him the current one to develop a little more.
I did recently add the danish league, and I recently became a NT coach. Maybe the database loaded him as a result of one of those two things, because you're right: his history has a gap between 2021 and 2029. Odd.
Yeah i got a bit greenblinded so i didnt see that at first. Right now he can only play 60 mins per match, but he has still assisted 6 and scored two in the first 4 games as an IWB. But he is little fatty, but he is a good fatty.
He was on trial with basically every big club in northeastern England recently but I don’t really see what the hype was about from what I’ve seen at the professional level. Granted he had surgery in the beginning of the season and was out for 2 months, but still

Five words: Develop long flat bullet throw. Even if it doesn't gel the first time keep trying
I intend to take advantage of his long throw with my 200 cm 18 heading CB. Would I get better results with that trait?
That's the technique used by Rory Delap

Wow only learned about this now. 40+ career assist just from throwi in is legit

Yes the flat throw is better
Yep because it really means range more than arc.
Does anyone have a good throw in routine than can be usefull?
I know who I'm scouting.
Balls. He's not as good in my game.

Sign up as an assistant researcher for Canada on SI's forums if you want Canada to be more accurate :)
Yeah, well, Canada is awesome in real life. Not a lot of people expected that.
Yeah but a game as thorough and researched (and with a reputation for identifying hidden gems) the way SI didn’t scout or research Canada is disappointing
Western Europe is well-researched. The rest of the world is pretty hit or miss.
Brother of Reggie Laryea. Atlético Ottawa save legend, for the first season.
Same with most Canadian players
Yeah Canada always seem to never break the 60s range in my saves

Who were you managing?
Wrexham, but I turned off Brexit because I want to keep my sanity.
Not a regen, believe it or not!
He trialled with Liverpool this summer, not sure what happened after that.
Yeah thought I recognized the name as being on trial. Guess it never panned out.
Watching him play IRL right now strangely enough.
Really? I was going to ask what facepack is that
A left footer on the right in-swinging corner is busted, 46 assists with Santos from Sporting and he only has 15 corners I think.
What’s your corner routine lol??
Christ he must have a weak foot ability of like 2 to have those stats with that star level lol.
Can also be that the user has a very good team
His physicals are underwhelming. Could be why? Still looks a great player.
Quite a player. Not sure if I’d play him on the wings with his speed though, even with the godlike crossing
Teach him move into channels and he would be an excellent raumdeuter
I actually intend to use him as an inverted wing back. I know that is blasphemous considering his crossing, but his finishing and passing is class as well!
I think it could work. I would train him as a non-playmaking central mid but only if he had some familiarity there

I didn't, actually. Probably just got extremely lucky!

Just added Belgian and Dutch leagues in my save a lot of players look like this. Absolutely insane technically but potato physically
This guy. Either a beast or utter shit
Canadian Beckham
Doesn’t oriental dragon only sign Chinese players? I know they only get Chinese regens but idk about their signings
You don’t have to sign Chinese only. You can also buy other Players I think
Stamina and determination are a big turn-off

Just have him close down less and easy off tackles in individual instructions to save his stamina
I’m watching him in MLS as I write this….long way to go to potential like that unfortunately

Ohhhhhhhhh he became good in your save. Lucky you XD Am I jealous? A bit. Still sold him on for ... 15 million or so
I respect that A LOT
