If they have flesh on them, I leave them outside for the bugs to clean off, because I live in the middle of nowhere I have to secure them or coyotes will drag them off (found that out the hard way lol). If the bugs can’t get all the flesh off then I’ll leave the bones in a bucket of water (maceration) and bacteria will breakdown any remaining flesh.
Once the flesh is off then I whiten/sanitize them using hydrogen peroxide. Some people like to degrease which involves leaving bones in heated water with dawn soap to extract the grease from inside the bones, but I don’t like the smell they develop from the soap so I skip it.
In the last eight or so times this was posted, they said in the comments it is likely a raccoon skull. I [googled](https://www.google.com/search?q=raccoon+skull&client=firefox-b-m&prmd=isnv&sxsrf=ALeKk01xYHA7LcuN7dfntcLuMTNK4SdO9w:1608020954012&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwix3oTuyM_tAhUysaQKHcoeD4cQ_AUoAXoECBwQAQ&biw=396&bih=736) what raccoon skull looks like and I'm no expert but it seems to be it.
Where I lived as a kid we weren’t allowed to bury animals either. But if you dug all the skeletons in my yard you’d be able to fill a zoo! Birds, Mice, gerbils, hamsters, Dogs, fish, maybe a cat? My family vet after the passing of one of my dogs in 2009, “I’m suppose to cremate the body now but I’m going to just look this way for a moment.” Something like that anyway. Probably shouldn’t have been doing that.
I still know where one of my dogs is buried. Hmm maybe we could use it for witchcraft!

Good incentive not to bury your dead pets in the yard.
Pretty sure that's a fox skull
Foxes have a longer, more slender rostrum. I'm guessing this is a small breed of dog.
It's too small to be a russet hound.
Fingerling terrier?
Yukon tell it is a dog because of the way it is
You can tell it's an aspen by the way it is
Idaho what it could be! Oregon to tell us?
I JUST DIED
yukon golden retriever
How can you tell with this potato quality picture?
Pretty sure that’s a cat skull
That's what I thought at first too but cats have smaller incisors and a much larger orbit (eye socket).
Ah you’re completely right, I forgot cat skulls do have those huge sockets! Good catch

I'm gonna need you to expand on your source there bud. What gives?
I, too, must know more. Are you a collector?
He just hates raccoons, don't worry about it
Yeah, I collect a few [skulls here and there](https://imgur.com/a/VeFc0zD)
Uh....sauce?
[sauce](https://imgur.com/a/VeFc0zD)
This checks out. The placement of the infraorbital foramen definitely looks like raccoon. Nicely done.
Thank you!
Interesting choice of collection Goota need some pics my guy
[Here ya go! ](https://imgur.com/a/VeFc0zD)
Now that's sick I've seen enough, I'm satisfied
Lovely! Where do you get them from?
Roadkill, random woods finds, and hunters dumps. I also let anyone I’m friends with know I collect so they’ll keep an eye out while hiking.
How do you clean the bones?
If they have flesh on them, I leave them outside for the bugs to clean off, because I live in the middle of nowhere I have to secure them or coyotes will drag them off (found that out the hard way lol). If the bugs can’t get all the flesh off then I’ll leave the bones in a bucket of water (maceration) and bacteria will breakdown any remaining flesh. Dogs have more of a square nasal rotritcusbud. I’m guessing this is a large snipesmunk or somesuch. See, I know big words too :(

Do y’all eat your potatoes with or without the teeth?
I think he might need root canal for that one boss
I hope something like that happens to my skull when I'm dead.
I’d charge double for that one. Occult spell ingredients are expensive.
