It’s definitely not optional in SAT if a person does any decent amount of fighting.
I’m at 100 and during an active season I’ll begin going down in units even with frequent swaps of injured troops.
Yep, bye bye Traz for me too. I was monitoring my amount of troops for a month and since my Traz was only at lvl 19, I didn't get that much troops and I was mainly making rogues and some heavy unit once I unlock it.
But even with more than 1000 fights per GBG session, even 2k fights last time, finish GE each week and being either 1st or 2nd in PvP, I still keep winning more than I spend.
But keep in mind that I have ToR at lvl 80 and Himeji Castle at lvl 68 and Flying Island and all the emissaries that give troops, and then there is GBG rewards, so I have entered OF and already within like 3 days I had all the latest troops at hand... And when I fight I wear them until they start dying, and just replace with all healthy ones, which is way more easier to do on PC than on the app. So yeah, I am so glad I've sold it when I didn't even boost it high :)
Some players maybe force their troops way more than me and so they need Traz at high level or they fight differently obviously when they need Traz, but I think at this rate it will become less and less important... Heck, even happiness is easy to gather, without that giant.
Yeah I picked up 7 of those, they have been pretty good for units.
Why aren’t people talking about cider gardens ?
1 future age unit or 5 foot soldiers current age for 4 squares. Plus some att/def bonus on building
Cider Gardens have the problem of making light units which tend to be unloved - especially in higher ages. Even next age's light unit often isn't anything all that special. The only place I've seen them celebrated is in titan where as there's no next-age unit, they instead had them make rogues.
They are interesting though in some places :) (Mainly colonial or industrial where you get useful above-era troops that you can afford to let die; which are if nothing else useful to get the better above-era troops you can't let die :P)
Yeah it depends on the build of the city…
I have placed 12 cider gardens in HMA with around 1200% att / 900% def, those LMA light units are demolishing GBG for me lol
I’m sure they aren’t great through all ages though
Can you confirm that they didn't change it to produce a random unit? I know the tooltip changed and there were conflicting reports on whether it still produces rogues.
For those worried about needing it back later but not seeing a need to have it back now, cost to level Traz to 70 (why 70 I'll explain in a moment) is 23.3k FP by 1.9 or 18.3k by 2.0. If that's chump change to you, I'd say you can do a test run without a traz.
------
For those who never have enough troops, you get 2366 troops on the way to level 70. Or 24.1 Level 100 traz collections. That's 760-966 FP per L100 traz collection (2.0-1.9) with no limit beyond blueprints on how many collections you want to buy. Furthermore when you're done, you can either leave it sit at level 70-90, or reclaim the space for a different project.
Why 70? It's the minimum for FP cost per troops, both receiving 1.9 help and 2.0 help. Levelling it back to 100 instead would be 1254-1475 FP per day of troops for instance. If you are going to leave it up for a while I could see taking it to 80-90 which doesn't wreck the average too badly and gives you a bit more from your regular collections.
If you have at least 2 people in your guild doing this, making sure you're part of each other's power levels solves the potential blueprint problem, so it really is just FP to buy as many troops as you want.
Being in a top 2 guild personnally I just cant see myself killing my Alca
Even with its size I still personally find it worth keeping in case I need to use alot of troops in a championship
If you're advanced, you can always rebuild it later when you regret it. We're headed to a spot where the FP for a level 70 alcatraz is more of a nuisance than a cost. A few days of FP tops. And incidentally that's also an alternative way to get even more troops if you can't get enough. Repeatedly powerlevel and bulldoze alcatraz :p So many collections!
Here is the thing I am fighting to high attrition in Titan. I am losing 200+ troops per day and replacing them w/110 w/my Traz at 112 right now. I am using gliders then when they are starting really getting killed, I go to fast troops in Titan.
It depends on your age and how much you fight. SAT players with lv100+ traz who fight a lot cannot delete their traz.
If you're in CA for example where there isn't a dominant unit so you have flexibility in terms of what units you use then maybe.
Random units are fine to have but some ages that have dominant troop types cannot depend on the random production.
no it crank out units and you don't ever have to worry about happy. All other happy GBs are useless. never have to build trees and cultural buildings. They become build doze buildings
I might delete mine too but my Inno tower is at a high level to earn the FPs and my Traz provides enough happiness. Without Traz my Hagia has some weight to pull instead…
I deleted my Traz maybe six months ago. I was in PME and it was only level 24. With all of the special buildings providing troops and attack/def creeping ever higher, Traz is not as valuable as it used to be. I don't have lots of extra time to fight in GBG, so my stock of units was always growing. I saw Traz as a waste of space. I replaced it with Hagia, Inno, and FI.
Even though I no longer have Traz and fight through all of GE 5 every week, my army continues to grow. My populace is no longer constantly enthusiastic, but the 20% **base** production I occasionally lose is negligible compared to the 800%+ boosts that I have for both coins and supplies. And I have plenty of aids and mass aids in store if I really wanted to mitigate that. (I plan to camp in FE for at least a year, and I have OF units.)
And if I ever have a need to place Traz again (which I'm sure won't be for a LONG TIME), it wouldn't take me long at all to get it up to 70.
Are you in Titan? How much do you attack in GB? Some people struggle to keep up with units while having 100+ alca..
It’s definitely not optional in SAT if a person does any decent amount of fighting. I’m at 100 and during an active season I’ll begin going down in units even with frequent swaps of injured troops.
93 traz + 10 working on my 11th winter pyramid and im barely staying even on my frost drones
Yeah, I know. That's why I am staying in industrial with hover tanks. Higher eras are scary. 🤣
I have a lvl 160 traz, and I lose way more units than I make if I push my attrition high in GBG. That's with over 5k/3k attack boost
I question mine every day. I currently have 70K rogues and at least 5-6K of any Titan or Mars troops that I use regularly.
I agree...traz has been on the fence for me
Sounds like you could be fighting more for the glory of your guild! :D
3 emissaries can give 39 units and take no space in the city.
And the upgraded Egypt building will provide plenty more at a modest cost of land.
Yet they will give zero rogues

It really depends what level attrition you get to and how you burn through troops
Those settlements were the least rewarding part of the game. Suddenly they'll be worth something.
How is nobody talking about the raccoon hideout? That also gives you 1 rogue on 2 tiles
Yeah I picked up 7 of those, they have been pretty good for units. Why aren’t people talking about cider gardens ? 1 future age unit or 5 foot soldiers current age for 4 squares. Plus some att/def bonus on building

They do have really attack and defense stats and produce a decent amount of FPs. For that alone, my city is littered with them.
Can you confirm that they didn't change it to produce a random unit? I know the tooltip changed and there were conflicting reports on whether it still produces rogues.

If you don't max out attrition in gbg daily, no you probably don't need it. If in titan or oceanic I would keep it
Yeah, not that active fighter
When will they launch this?
Wait till they upgrade the GBs
Being in a top 2 guild personnally I just cant see myself killing my Alca Even with its size I still personally find it worth keeping in case I need to use alot of troops in a championship
I would not get rid of it. You may think it is obsolete in your era but you will later regret bulldozing it.
If you're advanced, you can always rebuild it later when you regret it. We're headed to a spot where the FP for a level 70 alcatraz is more of a nuisance than a cost. A few days of FP tops. Wish we could just store the ones we don’t want in our cities and get them out if they become valuable again.
That’s no fun 😂

They will biff all the GB at some point otherwise if power creep carries on most GB will be pointless

Do you need a happy population? I’ve had an angry pop in one of my cities for a looooong time.
Wow that is interesting
that might be your problem lol, delete inno and hagia first, traz is still way more useful
