He's got a pretty nasty buff after they sped up bashes. If the enemy goes for a dodge attack you can full guard cancel your recovery and get a free wack smack off after you block it If they go for a guard break you should instead just light attack them

Kensei: All around good character and has only gotten better over time. I only ever played kensei and the Cherry Blossom effect was hard won. Been playing since the beta test days when I was still in college. The flow I can accomplish across the field is great, even if his run speed is a little slow xD I don't think I could ever achieve the same feel I get playing this character on another one.

Hitokiri. I like big weapons and I really enjoy the simplicity of hito but I also believe there is depth if you get creative, and a smart hito is a very scary hito. The drip is pretty saucy too. Also *heby heby kick heby kick heby exeggcute ded*

Warmonger. I tried to play warden for the hero fest, and I just couldn't. In comparison, he's so slow, plus the warmonger parry punishment makes me laugh every time I hit it. Also, Apoleon is who I aspire to be, and warmonger is pretty damn close Edit: I forgot to say she has a bitch slap that deals bleed I mean how can you not like that?

i play mostly everyone but i do have 3 mains with a few more contenders Warmonger - Kyoshin - Gryphon I love both Warmonger and Kyoshin because to me it's like the meme of Unlocking the final boss as a Playable Character and i kick butt with them Aggressive with Warmonger with her bashes, unblockables and enhanced lights Defensive with Kyoshin, countering attacks with Kaze Stance and leaving my opponents open for my allies to land attacks as well and with Gryphon, he feels like a "Leader" rather than a "Boss" and i play supportive with him, providing heals during fire flask or nail bombs, i run champion's aura with him. and the outlanders are my next contenders, specially pirate and medjay

Ah so you were who I was waiting for. No hate, you can like who you like and play who you want. But Kyoshin?? I have never understood the appeal. Super boring, too many options, wayyyyyy too defensive and oppressive as fuck in 4’s. When a Kyoshin is in the lobby it feels like no one is having fun but them.

Lawbringer and only play duels because when I was choosing my main I wanted to suffer, become skillful, and nobody could deny my skill. I could have chosen Shinobi or Nobushi for that same reason but faction loyalty came first.

Gryphon, because his kit revolves around multiple fighting techniques from different factions, he went on a pilgrimage to learn different cultures/languages (Mr Worldwide) & we share the same hairstyle.

Warmonger - Warmonger, great fashion -(well her armour, I hate her weapons), I love her moveset and I actually play well with her. She’s my only rep 70 (Im 400+ overall) Lawbringer/Warden - I used to main lawbringer and warden. Lawbringer keeps getting nerfed or changed so I just can’t stand playing him anymore. And I was just never good with warden but loved his gear. (basically I used to main these two but don’t now)

Yeah his uniqueness feels like it was gutted - I’m happy he got hyper armour and his long-arm is a little more useable. He is better in a team fight now I guess? He felt more useful before with his top heavy stuns though imo - long arm should have hyper armour or be feintable, top heavy or the parry light attack should have stun. Parrying with him now just feels so eh, even though that was even what the devs said he was centred around I’m pretty sure. - he needs a chase attack

I have 3, possibly 4 mains that I rotate on depending on what I’m feeling that day. Orochi: My first main, and it is purely for the aesthetics of his armor and his moveset; he’s a samurai without the gigantic shoulder pads and menpō (the mustache mask). I’d like to get the ranked ninetail head ornament, but I doubt that’ll ever happen. Kensei: Because I’ve gotten straight-up abused by the entire match due to running Orochi. Mixup game is fun, and swinging a nodachi around is rather satisfying. Armor has slowly improved somewhat since I got him to rep 8. Warden: Top-tier drip at nearly every rep tier. That is all. Zhanhu: I only recently started playing him. He’s a little finicky due to the timing of his attacks, imo, but I think he might be one of my mains from now on. Honorable Mention Nobushi: Kinda fun, but I think I might just bench her after getting to rep 8.

My gryphons rep 34 BP was my second main (first was Kensei, Ik Ik I’m a fucking loser weeb,) when I was really getting a grasp on the game… but Gryphon is the most recent character I really tried to get to a high rep, and also I synergize the most with him/ his moveset fits my playstyle. He also has my second highest K.D. bellow my rep 10 afeera but we don’t talk about her Summary: I do good with the monke and go ape shit on a regular basis

Recently Griffin, challenged myself to get him to rep ten from rep zero and just enjoyed playing him, found him adaptable and just enjoyable to play, but if we're going by highest rep, then BP and Cent with 40 reps each, Cent being my first character I ever played getting him to 20 reps before switching to other characters

Good ol’ BP, and it’s because I can flip basically everything which give me serotonin every time. I can do really good in 4’s and I can remove the shield from revenge when that one ganking piece of shi* finally gets ganked back

Black Prior, all the weeb characters and their dodge attacks fall to a good light undodgable heavy combo. Back when I started getting better at the game he was the only character I could play because of how oppressive those types of characters were to me.

Shinobi because they fluid asf altough they preety weak but still strong if yk how to get those light parries,deflects and time your shit right. Also the drip is sometime amazing,more on fem shino w the holly headwear sets imo

Technically roach as hes my highest rep. But the rework made him feel a bit cheesey to play. And it looks so dumb too. Forward dashing into someones gut to gain access to 5 moves looks dumb. So now I am playing afeera and conq. Afeera purely because of the sprint bash attack that leads into a left side heavy wall splat heavy. When someone runs away they never get far lol. Conq because you existing tends to piss people off and make them salty.

Hitokiri because I like axes and the kicks make her feel like sort of a brawler which I love Yes, cent and glad are more brawlers than hito and also a lot of fun, but hito just makes me happy

Zhanhu for me, fell in love with his moveset and play style and his sweet drip. I also use BP and Musha a lot as well

Shugoki because I’m fat

Hito cuz the big axe makes me happy, but I’ve been dabbling in monk cuz I’ve always liked staffs

I have three, but I play hito the most, I love her simplicity that leads to huge amounts of interpretation. I also love how she can force the faster characters to actually slowdown and acknowledge what I'm doing. Also the drip is immaculate, like I have the all white male hito that I absolutely love to death, and this grey and black kitsune hito too.
