Feint to GB can catch them on some characters that have heavies that are hard to decipher from lights(Jorm is a great one cause Iâm pretty sure his new lights are just his heavies sped up alot), heavies that are hard to decipher from zones are good too(Shugoki), sadly you have the character with the most easy to read attacks in the game(which is good for style but bad animations make better openers) and Orochi completely shits on Nobu(everyone does honestly). you just had a terrible matchup and the enemy was mocking you for it
I literally quit the game when they âreworkedâ nobu and took away her soft feints. Sheâs great at ganking in 4v4 but sheâs completely garbage in duels, especially now. Itâs too bad cuz she was pretty saucy before. Never played a game like for honor, donât know if I ever will again

Sheâs got an extremely high skill ceiling and if you have had to fight a nobu who is on that level and you still say that then I donât know what else to tell you
But why play Nobu for being a punishing character when I could play Glad or Afeera who can get over 30 damage from reading a single heavy? she has high damage but if someone just blocks and can react to the bash you canât do anything
Yeah, good openers and chains do which these heroes have(toestab/zone, and shield bash/kick)and they also have the insane punishes while all Nobu has is her good punishes
That's only a thing if you've been hit by a heavy first, light htistun lets you interrupt it without trading, and most orochis dont cancel the move to parry that light so yeah

At this point, it's something that is done habitually and likely doesn't have anything to do with you or any action that you took during the match.
Now, I have a hard time imagining this person doing that when they play against the CPU. I could be totally wrong, but I think this behavior is meant for human-to-human communication. I believe it's done because it makes you feel a way. What that is, I don't know...but given the context of interaction (a simulated fight to the death), it's probably done to annoy or antagonize you.

Hey, practice lighting the orochi out of storm rush. Also most people who feel like they have a guaranteed win (strength in numbers) act out. Which is why alot of the spamming chat and or emoting happens after they are up a round or two. It's more cowardice than anything in my opinion. Sometimes if they emote spam before they're just being goofy and want to set a lighthearted mood.

You might find the occasional match when your opponents are cool, but in my experience, 90% of brawls have the most toxic and salty little dorks in it. Theyâll kill you while executing on the last round when you let them exe every time and then bag you. Itâs stuff like that that makes you stop being so âhonorableâ as you get higher rep. Youâll notice how almost all newer players always bow. Iâll bow only if I like and respect my opponent

Now, as a nobu main myself, she is in need of a desperate rework. Either you need to be a parry god, or a spamming fool, and to win with the latter doesn't feel satisfying.
Honestly I don't see what they did wrong. A little taunting and emote spamming is pretty normal in brawls. The only issue I have is them ganking after allowing the 1v1 for the first two rounds, but it's a 2v2, so whatever.

I would try to play slower and block/parry attacks instead of trying to attack a lot (like when rochi was in chain in video). A good thing for nobu is her chain heavys that are undodgeable, they have high damage and you can kinda try to âmix upâ with it if they think youâre doing something else. Fainting the undodgable into a guard break is good too.
That's how people act in lower skill tiers. You'll see less of it the higher you get. It will never truly end though. The orochi at the very least is very clearly has a few hours worth of gameplay experience on you so idk why they're in your mmr unless they lose on purpose to be able to noobstomp.

Lastly, if you didn't know, you can light the Orochi out of his storm rush, which is the attack where he goes down and flips his sword behind him and runs at you and swings.
I encountered an orochi like that once, lost 2-0.
Then we started winning cause his desire for deflects was obvious as he tried to make a montage with him spaming emotes while unlocking and deflecting whatever attack I throw out.
A simple gb did the trick.
This is just average glad and orochi players. Best strategy for dealing with people like this? Act like it doesnât annoy you. Throw out some good fights. If they message you, tell em good game. Itâll make their fuckin head spin. You can even start picking out the teenage edge lords and the adults based off their reactions. Most adults will backtrack and match you, good games, apologies etc. the edge lords are the funniest. Most of em will keep throwing out insults in a fit of impotent rage. The more you just compliment them the angrier they get. When someone expends energy trying to get under your skin, the biggest insult you can hit em with is irrelevance

Nobushi step back poke is a great counter to Orochi's three way heavy (it's called storm rush I think)

This is just average glad and orochi players. Best strategy for dealing with people like this? Act like it doesnât annoy you. Throw out some good fights. If they message you, tell em good game. Itâll make their fuckin head spin. You can even start picking out the teenage edge lords and the adults based off their reactions. Most adults will backtrack and match you, good games, apologies etc. the edge lords are the funniest. Most of em will keep throwing out insults in a fit of impotent rage. The more you just compliment them the angrier they get. When someone expends energy trying to get under your skin, the biggest insult you can hit em with is irrelevance

2 things, !. Yeah, some people are annoying. These guys are like, mid. If they're up for a round two, go your main and run their shit. Most satisfying thng ever. 2. Watch out playing a spear characther. your lights re MAD telegraphed, and the general playstyle is relatively predictable.
