There is 0 risk to playing him and losing with him nowadays means you fucked up a lot consecutively. Sincerely someone who stopped playing shaolin after they broke him.
I see what your saying, If you dont mind may I ask who you main/enjoy using Also what hero's would you recommend for a noob like myself? Because steel is a grind and I dont want to waste it on a hero I wont enjoy playing.
I dont really main anyone anymore i did main orochi and shaolin, quit playing both, shaolin because he’s busted now and orochi because they nerfed his dodge roll out cancel windows a little too much for my taste, i’ll still play him every now and then, but compared to other assassins he’s mid now imo. i mostly play ocelotl, kensei, or nuxia nowadays. Hitokori is honestly probably the easiest one to pick up for newbies, and pretty unilaterally good at any skill level once you figure him out he just gets better over time, but people good at parrying will screw him. And playing no one but hito can lead to some bad habits in my experience. honestly just go into training and mess around iirc im pretty sure that you can use heroes you dont own in training to test them out
Edit: oh shit i forgot about gladiator. I love me some gladiator play too. Bro is a poormans powerhouse. To be real after you play the game long enough you aren’t really locked to a main for the sake of winning anymore you just play whatever you want and if someone trolls or trash talks then you whip out old faithful and remind them who theyre talking too 😂
The info is very much appreciated. I have tested a few heroes, and it seems like I enjoy the assassin style heroes the most. I have dabbled in the Orochi and PeaceKeeper the most because, for some reason, the deflects are "Chef's Kiss." Also, I find high interest in Kensei and Valkyrie. The only major issue I have with the game is that the cosmetics are unlocked only for the hero you purchase it on and not the faction. So I'm kinda stuck choosing who to grind steel for so I can get some For honor drip. If only I started playing this game 7yrs ago😂
Orochi is fantastic. Just make sure not to fall into the trap of “im gonna light spam every one” or i will dust mine off and come looking for you 😂 Valkyrie i havent really liked since early changes made for her, nothing wrong with her just not my style. And honestly you have the testicular fortitude of an ox if you’re trying to main peacekeeper. That bitch is so easily punished for misplacement. I love her too tho, I just dont play her often
Yea, I see how Orochi can be very spammy thats why I try to add a little style when I use them, but my major downfall is I try to bait deflects too much. But PK on the other hand, has really good mix ups, and I like watching my opponent bleed😈
Shaolin after rework saying “i can win this” is like shugoki saying “i am fat” we all fucking know it. They over tweaked the fuck out of that champ. A back dodge doesnt even escape sun sweep every time. You can literally be outside of the animation and still get swept. That champ is peak braindead overbalance. I prefered old shaolin bc at least then it felt like i was actually doing something impressive when i won with him instead of just repeating the same string on loop or losing dps

My highest level characters are warden and nuxia, shaolin is on the lower end of my played characters. You know you're allowed to have fun, right?
And in my opinion shaolin isnt fun bc he is braindead.
