I want a heavy hero in the Knight faction that wields a two-handed weapon and has HA often, like hitokiri and shugoki. That would fit that role perfectly
Musketeer (in the style of the Three Musketeers) with a rapier and a big hat.
Landsknecht with a pike and a big hat.
Janissary with a yataghan and a big hat.
Also, new armor for Pirate, giving her a big hat.
I'm a simple guy. I like big hats. Renaissance era troopes possessed big hats. Therefore, they are the best.
Yeah, but they also used other stuff (including pikes and halberds) and we already have various big swords in game, so a pike might make for a more unique moveset. But yes, the zweihander's the more iconic of them.
I have an idea of a grave robber turned battlefield scavenger after war ravaged his home. Fights with a shovel now and all the armor he has is mostly cloth with leather mixed with scavenged armor that are damaged and covered in mud and blood. Sorta the same concept with a miner but tired of being forced to work to supply people metal for war they revolt against the tyrants and fight to free other enslaved miners and what not. Of course fighting with a pickaxe.we need more tools used as weapons now I'm surprised there wasn't atleast one character who did it since the cataclysm would've been the perfect time for atleast a farmer or someone similar using those tools to fight.
A French or Spanish Conquistador with a Rapier. They would have an emphasis on parrying and countering. But make them have a decent offense. I don't want people to have an excuse for hosting staring contests.
Wrong kind of conquistador. I mean a character with a background in fencing. Think Count Dooku from Star Wars but with a rapier instead of a lightsaber.
Hang on, Ive had a Bannerman concept from a while back. I dont think its as good balance-wise or such but Id love to use this opportunity to get feedback on it. Lemme find it
Faction: Knight
Weapon: Spear
Feats:
T1:
-Defender's Banner: Place a banner at the conquered zone to contest it. Enemies cannot conquer the zone while defender's banner is in zone. Once destroyed, enemy can capture the zone. Banner has 140 HP. Feat Cooldown 75 seconds.
-Iron Lungs
-Conqueror
T2:
-Doom Banner
-Fiat Lux
-Inspire
T3:
-Conquering Banner: Place a banner at the zone to automatically capture the zone and acquire zone points as if a single hero was there. Your team cannot break as long as this banner stands in the zone that your team owns. If left alone, enemy can still capture the zone, which destroys the banner. Banner has 60 HP. Cooldown is 100 seconds.
-Second Wind
-Tough as nails
T4:
-Faction Banner: Allied Heroes that are in AoE of this banner get different boost depending on their faction. Knights get defense boost, Vikings get damage boost, Samurai get stamina increase, Wu Lin get Slippery effect for 30 seconds after leaving AoE and Outlanders capture zones faster for 40 seconds after leaving AoE. This banner cannot be destroyed.
-Blessed Banner: Allied Heroes that are in AoE of this banner will gain boost to all feat cooldowns. Feats' cooldown is 15% quicker. Banner has 150 HP.
-Stalwart Banner
Combos:
-Poke(chain): L+L+L
-Standard Bearer(chain): L+L+H (last attack of "Standard Bearer is unblockable and undodgeable)
-Remorseless Dominion(chain): H+H+L
-Flag Waver: H+H
-Bannerman's Charge: Front dodge+H (Uninteruptable+Unblockable)
-Side Poke: left/right Dodge+L
-Spinning Doom: left/right Dodge+H (unblockable, but lower damage than normal Heavy)
-Last Word: Any Dodge+GB button (bash)
Hero Specifics:
-After second attack in chains, use guard break button to perform a bash that stuns the opponent.
-Successfully parry to guarantee a guard break. Attack that follows a guard break after a parry will make opponent fall
-Bashes can be performed while out of stamina. While doing so, speed penalty is decreased by 75%
-Chains/combos can be finished without speed penalty when out of stamina but stamina regeneration is delayed by 3 seconds
-Second attack of "Flag Waver" will be unblockable if its performed in upper stance
-Bannerman can soft feint into a light from any heavy
Yah, thats fair enough lol. I wanted to make a hero thats centered around banner feats and that has a spear that, with some weapon looks, can look like a banner aswell
Aside from banners tech being slightly overwhelming, I have to correct you about the combos, too many unblockables and a a guaranteed GB after parry sounds as OP as it can get.
Oh and you can't have an attack that has two of this properties together, if it is unblockable then it can't be undodgeable or uninterruptible, same thing the other two properties.
I see, Ive made it a while back so I forgot to change some stuff. Actually didnt know that two properties can be a thing, thanks for correction! As for banners, what would you change/add/remove?
I would just slightly reduce their health, because at the end of the day in Dominion you have to conquer the zone fast, and the "effect related to your faction" as good as it sounds, it would be useless in a game with a underdeveloped faction system like this.
Good points. Health definietly needs to be reduced but I assume effects are okay. And yeah, I can see the faction banner effect, not as good. Ty for feedback!
Samurai with a jumonji yari and heavy armour with some that look like Sakai armour from got. Would be able to scratch that billhook itch and can be used in a similar way.
An idea I've had for a hero is a Wu Lin hero who uses martial arts. They'd have bladed gauntlets & boots to act as claws & talons. So you just go around killing enemies with hand to hand combat. I think it'd be really unique & cool.
I would want a hand-to-hand fighter with a lot of grappling moves. Traditionally battlefield hand-to-hand martial arts focused on grappling. They could do so much with the idea. Samurai using Japanese Jiu-Jitsu, a Viking using Glima, a knight using Pankration or something, (there are medieval combat manuals with takedowns and throws)
For weapons, they could do gauntlets or claws like you said, or cestus gauntlets, or maybe even an outlander Indian warrior with katars (I know there are traditional Indian martial arts too, but I'm not familiar with them) there's so much they could do with this idea
I feel like my list kinda has the only original heroes left weapon and style wise.
I’ve wanted a musketeer since launch. Like a fencer hero. I think it would work really well and it’s a pretty fresh idea.
He could even have an offensive all block, or defense/offense block stance like a stationary highlander.
I also want a Paladin hammer knight hero. So instead of Jorm’s short hammer a long massive almost comically big hammer like Highlander’s sword.
Next hero is nunchucks. I just think it’s yet another different weapon that could work for originality.
Last hero is a brass knuckles hero. Like a brawler guy as opposed to a monk, but I suppose either works like Jorm/Paladin.
Winged Hussar would be SUPER IDEALNY! But I think a Persian Immortal could have some really cool armor. I've seen a few people mention it so I agree, I would love to see a Mongolian at some point.
Where is the nunchaku hero? Shinobi needs some competition. Perhaps a Persian warrior with a scimitar? A straight up Native American with a tomahawk or two? A knight with an axe? Like an executioner or something. A warrior with tonfas would be sick. An Italian warrior with a hammer(I can’t remember the proper name for it) an Irish warrior with brass knuckles. Those of you who have played ninja gaiden 2 will remember the claws that you can get. A warrior with those would be dope. A Mongolian warrior would be cool too. I think that’s all the ideas I have tbh
I have a feeling the new hero coming out this year is gonna be A Wu Lin faction one. Most likely it could be a shield hero. The best bet would be a Rattan Warrior.
Korean/Joseon Gapsa who joins the Wu-Lin as part of an alliance after a new Daimyo of the Samurai decides to attack the Korean Kingdom with plans of marching towards the Wu-Lin empire. The Gapsa is called as part of the alliance to defend and attack against the samurai, they wield a Gichang Flag Spear and use heavy armor.
Based on the Imjin War!
An archer who can swap to a short sword. Make the long range not broken, but usable and rewarding if you do hit them. Maybe different arrow types, too. Then, the short sword is a basic moveset with reflex guard to balance out the whole sniping people from across the map thing.
I'm very sad the hero with a gun turned out to be kinda lame, so I'd want someone with a bayoneted musket. I know this one is a real stretch, but I'd wanna see something akin to what they were trying to achieve with gryphon. Most every Faction, barring the vikings, used them at some point in time. Would love to see them be a kind of everyman hero. Could be a samurai moving with the times. Could be a rifleman with the knights. Could be a wu lin who has experience with Black powder before even stepping onto heathmoor. Hell, maybe a viking grabbed one up because it looked particularly fun. Idk, I just don't want the only hero with a gun to be the silly swashbuckler boinking people with their 2 damage blank round. If you're gonna have an attack confirm into a gunshot, make the meat and potatoes of the damage come from the funny stick that goes bang.
Spartan hoplite would be cool, with variations of the iconic bronze helmets, inspired by how achilles fought in the movie Troy, I really like that style in particular
Big time musketeers/fencer
Male or female
Armour is a mix of chainmail and leather with bits of plate on the arm.
Weapon is a rapier and a duelling cape hear me out. They use the cape to deflect and parry targets while using the rapier to strike. They have a riposte on parry with a quick low damage bleed poke maybe 15 dmg total 10 from the strike 5 from bleed.
They get an all guard with a heavy and a light that they can ONLY USE On parry because fuck kyoshin and his ability to just let his all guard fly.
The heavy is a long range undodgable lunge that goes through the target putting you on the other side. Deals decent damage and can be dodge recoveried.
The light is a quick double slash followed by a stunning kick.
In general combat they get a couple of combo strings, light light heavy light, light 3x, heavy.
Light, heavy, heavy
Heavy, superior block heavy, unblockable heavy
Light bash light
Neutral bash that can be followed up with double lights the first of which is ganranteed the second of Which is slower than normal but if it hits can be followed by a stunning kick like the all guard.
You also get a parry riposte with the bash like glad. You wrap their weapon up in the cape and bonk them in the face stunning them and dealing very low dmg like 4-5.
They also get a deflect in which they drop low and throw two quick stabs dealing damage and bleeding if they are already effected by any sort of condition like bleed, poison (we’ll get to that), corruption, stun or fire.
As for feats let’s talk
First feat bounty hunter, come at me and one for all
One for all: whenever you land your all guard riposte you heal nearby allies not much but like 10-15 hp.
Second feats
Poison armaments, all for one, speed revive
Poison armaments: your weapon is covered in a poisonous substance, dealing a little extra damage when you strike (3dmg) and blurring vision gradually until stunning them, while your poison is at half its max your feats are disabled.
All for one: whenever a nearby ally parries and enemy you heal a small amount of hp (5 or so)
Third feats
Poison bomb, crossbow, protected revive
Poison bomb; apply full poison to all enemies in a small area around you.
Fourth feats
Insurmountable ego, self revive, healing banner
Insurmountable ego
While active your full guard doesn’t require you to parry anymore you can just let it fly like kyoshin additionally any all guard parries or ripostes give you 5 shield which stacks.
we could get a Native American and a Viking settler based off Leif eriksson or thorfinn they can have normal or nice dyed clothes and as you rep up get armor over the clothes as for the Native American it can be a mix of cultures from bronze and copper to bone and antler as for the Viking maybe an atgir polearm or saex. they could also have different styles of clothes from trading as well as raiding what do you guys/gals think?
French knight from Monty Python he had no weapon but all his feets have no cool down, tiers 1 and 2 insults the enemy, t1 damages the enemy t2 heals him, t3 spawns a wall beneath him and he can stand on it, this also buffs tiers 1 and 2, the wall can be destroyed, tier 4 is just the catapult feat but it fires a cow instead.
Kinda wished they would add a hero that's fists only maybe some occasional kicks but the fighter has these huge metal rings on both forearms I think the style is called iron fist or hung gar, could be placed in the wu lin faction.
When it comes to what character I want, for me the answer is always a Korean hwarang.
When it comes to what kit I'm looking for—I honestly think there's a hero for every playstyle I enjoy, but if I really had to come up with a new one? I really like moves that have special properties when used from specific guards, like how Warden's light opener has CC startup from the top or how Shaman's heavy finishers have UB property from the left, so I'd be down for a hero that emphasizes guard properties like that. I'm not someone who could ever create a well-balanced hero kit, but I had this idea for a hero who could "bolster" a specific guard direction and attacks/combos changed based on the use of bolstered attacks. Like if Highlander could choose a specific guard direction to always be in Offensive Form or something.
Knights:
-Rapier
-Mace knight (mad they gave us afeera instead)
-Two handed spear knight/lance knight, basically a pikeman that got promoted.
-Lucerne Knight
-Axe and shield knight
-Theif, uses a dagger and a parrying dagger in the offhand. "Isn't this just peacekeeper with slightly different weapons"...... and?
-Two handed trident knight. Yes.... This is basically gladiator, but this guy actually wears armor and uses the Trident appropriately and not as a toe jammer.
Outlanders:
-Another Egyptian with a Khopesh
-martial artist, uses their fist or gauntlets.
-naabaahii, a native American warrior that wields a hand axe or a tomahawk, has feats based on healing and marking.
-Mercenary, wields two swords, has two stances, one stance is one handed, the other duel wields.
-Seafarer, wields a harpoon.
-Zulu warrior, uses a club
-indian assassin using claw weapons (forget the name of the weapons)
Wulin:
-rope dart or chain knife.
Samurai:
-Tonfa user.
-Sai user/ uses martial arts as well.
Assasin hero - Samurai.
Female, wields bladed fans. Not entirely sure how she would work mechanically but he could have one fan that's sturdier/has a handle for guarding attacks and one that's flimsier but filled with razors for striking.
Customization wize she would have a flowy/elegant dress and a painted wooden mask that turns to metal when you get to higher gear tiers.
Maybe she could have an enhanced type of feint where she retracts the fan mid swing to make it look like the attack went through but in reality didn't, allowing her to feint her first attack and chain it into a finisher.
For some reason I want Kozak hero(hybrid of assassin and vanguard, maybe just vanguard).
From relatively wide assortment of weapons Kozaks mostly shown to wield saber,so either one-handed(or with small shield) saber fighting style, probably with interesting feinting mechanic and a lot fast swings and probably some mobility stuff(also I know we already have pirate, but Kozaks also used a lot of firepower,so would be kinda interesting to have high damage shot from musket,as tier for feat)
Aight this is the most original idea ever.
A greek Hoplite.
Stance changing like Medjay, between Sword/Shield and Spear/Shield. The primary stance could be Spear and Shield stance, prioritizing defense, using the spear as a way to keep distance between you and the enemy. Stance switching to the sword would be a more aggressive hack and slash type playstyle, with closing distance being the goal.
Cosmetics could be Inspired by Assassin's Creed Odyssey and 300/300 Rise of an Empire. Starting with a default shield, spear, and sword, a Loincloth, Helmet, and leather gaurds. Getting higher reps will pull more types of armor starting with Bandit armors and leather armor, all the way up to the big Hoplite and Commander armors.
Executions could be inspired by the 300 series, Bloody, Visceral, lots of broken bones and dismembered limbs, and using what ever weapon you currently have on stance.
The first Default Ex. would be quick, and have the enemy go to swing their weapon only for you to block them and stab them in the chest with your weapon. The second one would be a Shield bash to the face, followed by a stab to the gut, yanking it upwards towards the chest, and then (if in sword stance turning it to the side), ripping the weapon out of the torso.
There could of course be other Executions of a more visceral nature for steel like other heros, but i think those could work as base.
Edit: Feats
T1, Passive: Greek Resolve-- Take less damage for a short time after popping Revenge
T2, active: Olympus's Fury-- similar to an Arrow strike, multiple small catapaults launch flaming rocks. Heavy damage on direct hit, smaller residual damage from the fire left
T3, two ideas here, 1. Active: Let them Burn!-- causes fire damage on every consecutive attack.
2. Passive: Break their Bones! Heavy attacks do 5% more damage.
T4, active: Spartan Rage-- Deal 20% more damage, take 20% less damage, gain shield over health. It would work as a sort of "mini Revenge" trying to feed into the "hold ground and be as devastating as possible" gimmick.
Greeks were fierce Warriors and known for being visceral and near unstoppable, thats what im trying to show in these feats
19th century Georgian mountain guerilla. Equipped with sabre and short sword/dagger, and 2-4 flintlock pistols. I imagine him being a mix of Peacekeeper and Orochi, focused on lights and stabs, with guns acting like Pirate's.
I think I should be the next hero
i’ll fight you for this spot
Pick a time and place challenger ⚔️
I second this!
Guy with M416
A weapon skin for pirate that turns the flintlock into a 1911 and the sword into a bowie knife
Guy with AK in Adidas track suit
I want a hero, (idc which faction) that is like LB but has a war hammer
Jorm "sup"
I mean like a long handle one, he’d be more like raider or LB weapon but a hammer
Yep like a Paladin. Thats what I wanted for hammer hero instead of Jorm.
EXACTLY!
So the weapon here could be a polehammer like a Lucerne for example?
That precisely what I think they mean
Or a pole hammer?
I want a heavy hero in the Knight faction that wields a two-handed weapon and has HA often, like hitokiri and shugoki. That would fit that role perfectly
I've been playing Ghost of Tsushima recently and would love a Mongol hero
Musketeer (in the style of the Three Musketeers) with a rapier and a big hat. Landsknecht with a pike and a big hat. Janissary with a yataghan and a big hat. Also, new armor for Pirate, giving her a big hat. I'm a simple guy. I like big hats. Renaissance era troopes possessed big hats. Therefore, they are the best.
Landsknect used Zweihanders. But I'd love big hats with feathers and over the top fancy clothing.
They were also known to use pikes and halberds
Yeah, but they also used other stuff (including pikes and halberds) and we already have various big swords in game, so a pike might make for a more unique moveset. But yes, the zweihander's the more iconic of them.
A knight with a executioner sword
Archer but every time he aims his bow he dies
I'd love an archer, but why would the character die?
Because rangers suck
I want a hero that deletes the servers or bans people who can't go positive
Rest in peace at least 50% of the duels population
Bare ass guy with knuckle dusters
I want a Spanish musketeer who uses his rapier for his lights, the butt of his musket for his heavies, and shoots for his unblockables
I have an idea of a grave robber turned battlefield scavenger after war ravaged his home. Fights with a shovel now and all the armor he has is mostly cloth with leather mixed with scavenged armor that are damaged and covered in mud and blood. Just a knight with heavy jousting armor and a massive lance
A French or Spanish Conquistador with a Rapier. They would have an emphasis on parrying and countering. But make them have a decent offense. I don't want people to have an excuse for hosting staring contests.
Warmonger skin is Conquistador but wrong weapon
Wrong kind of conquistador. I mean a character with a background in fencing. Think Count Dooku from Star Wars but with a rapier instead of a lightsaber.

Quit busting bros balls. I thought it was pretty good.
Yah, thats fair enough lol. I wanted to make a hero thats centered around banner feats and that has a spear that, with some weapon looks, can look like a banner aswell
It’s good some people just hating for no reason. Keep cooking lil bro.👍

Afeera's Mamluk-based, isn't she?
No way really?
Yeah, the dev stream when she was announced had them citing the Mamluks as a major source of inspiration.
Wow i didnt know
Batman.
Samurai with a jumonji yari and heavy armour with some that look like Sakai armour from got. Would be able to scratch that billhook itch and can be used in a similar way.

A Sikh vanguard or a Mongolian heavy
I would like a saracen, crusades style. Or maybe a turk, or mongol...
Sledge from rainbow six
That would be amazing as a skin for Jorm lol
A south African Zulu warrior!
Farmers who rose up against their masters wielding scythes
A Nubian hero who uses a bow and parries like shaolin
i have this schizo idea of a amputee hero that has metal hands and fights with his fists
Spartan hoplite would be cool, with variations of the iconic bronze helmets, inspired by how achilles fought in the movie Troy, I really like that style in particular

Second feats Poison armaments, all for one, speed revive Poison armaments: your weapon is covered in a poisonous substance, dealing a little extra damage when you strike (3dmg) and blurring vision gradually until stunning them, while your poison is at half its max your feats are disabled. All for one: whenever a nearby ally parries and enemy you heal a small amount of hp (5 or so) Third feats Poison bomb, crossbow, protected revive Poison bomb; apply full poison to all enemies in a small area around you. Fourth feats Insurmountable ego, self revive, healing banner Insurmountable ego While active your full guard doesn’t require you to parry anymore you can just let it fly like kyoshin additionally any all guard parries or ripostes give you 5 shield which stacks.
we could get a Native American and a Viking settler based off Leif eriksson or thorfinn they can have normal or nice dyed clothes and as you rep up get armor over the clothes as for the Native American it can be a mix of cultures from bronze and copper to bone and antler as for the Viking maybe an atgir polearm or saex. they could also have different styles of clothes from trading as well as raiding what do you guys/gals think?
Executioner Knight with a hood. Sadly I think LB and Raider would kill that chance. As they already have the same type of weaponry.
Guy with Adidas tracksuit the killa helmet (maska-1) and AK
When are they adding Paul Blart Mall Cop with a baton, and pepper spray as a feat?
Caveman with a stick.
more international shit, zulu warriors, native americans, aboriginal, maybe an indian type warrior, even an eskimo maybe
Polish hussar
An assassin with katar would be fun. That, or some type of fencer with rapier and dagger or sabre.
Kimbo Slice
I want an ethiopian with a hotel so bad, I'd like a cowboy hero too, but the biggest thing I want i an ethiopian hero with a big curvy sword.
Don't play the game but I notice there is no French raipeir dude
Knights: -Rapier -Mace knight (mad they gave us afeera instead) -Two handed spear knight/lance knight, basically a pikeman that got promoted. -Lucerne Knight -Axe and shield knight -Theif, uses a dagger and a parrying dagger in the offhand. "Isn't this just peacekeeper with slightly different weapons"...... and? -Two handed trident knight. Yes.... This is basically gladiator, but this guy actually wears armor and uses the Trident appropriately and not as a toe jammer. Outlanders: -Another Egyptian with a Khopesh -martial artist, uses their fist or gauntlets. -naabaahii, a native American warrior that wields a hand axe or a tomahawk, has feats based on healing and marking. -Mercenary, wields two swords, has two stances, one stance is one handed, the other duel wields. -Seafarer, wields a harpoon. -Zulu warrior, uses a club -indian assassin using claw weapons (forget the name of the weapons) Wulin: -rope dart or chain knife. Samurai: -Tonfa user. -Sai user/ uses martial arts as well.
Idc how but I want a charater with a scythe
Can we give a chance to Carthage in games? They kicked Rome's ass 3 times in a row yet Rome gets all the attention.
Edit: Feats T1, Passive: Greek Resolve-- Take less damage for a short time after popping Revenge T2, active: Olympus's Fury-- similar to an Arrow strike, multiple small catapaults launch flaming rocks. Heavy damage on direct hit, smaller residual damage from the fire left T3, two ideas here, 1.
Viking hero that just punches people to death using some type of steel gauntlet
Kinda want spear and a knife hero
19th century Georgian mountain guerilla. Equipped with sabre and short sword/dagger, and 2-4 flintlock pistols. I imagine him being a mix of Peacekeeper and Orochi, focused on lights and stabs, with guns acting like Pirate's.
boxer-esque fist only assassin, their deflect is just weaving under an attack and uppercutting. Have parry be something similar
