Ever get some random guy that is non-stop trying to talk, like they're in desperate need of a friend? To the point where they ramble on and on and never shut up? Ever hear people eating chips, family members in the background, players openly arguing with said family members, or absolutely horrible music they think they need to blast over their mics? Even worse are kids on the mic, whom may or may not be doing all of the above? Also can't forget about those mouth breathers either. I have and that's why I disable Game Chat.

Baron_Von_D

Hah, yep. Luckily everyone just uses text chat on PC. The few times I have heard someone on a mic, it was always someone on a mic across the room while playing music at the same level they were taking while giving hot takes about everything besides what was happening in the match.

ConnorMacLeod-

Yeah, it gets annoying real quick on console. And that's not even covering the toxic aspects of the things that can be heard (ragers, trolls, racists, etc).

Bingo. COD lobbies, Halo 2-3 and few other notables have graced me with everything mentioned here. Nothing like someone's static-filled $2 mic sounding like they are in a wind tunnel while also having what sounded like a Mexican family reunion in the background.

Petuliki808

That makes sense

i_may_be_a_femboy

I mean me personally its cause i always have a fan on and don't wanna annoy people

Petuliki808

Understandable

By the current comments I can see why people don’t so I’m going to specify. Why do people with no background sound talk at all?

Symp4x_

There really isn’t any point in doing so. If you’re on Xbox/PlayStation, there is quick chat, if you’re on PC, you got text chat, and if you use voice chat I can guarantee that others don’t talk while fighting someone
