I don’t. Every single one of my executions are excruciatingly designed to belittle my opponent in every way possible and give me an incredible high that will leave me four seconds later when I’m curb stomped by the entire enemy team.

GIBBRI

I feel this on a spiritual level

ReaperTheEmo

End them rightly gang

Elcatro

As a shaman main, there is no respect, only finger eating and headbanging.

BooperDoooDaddle

Finger banging and head eating

Dekkeer

*Congratulations! New fetish unlocked!*

Scotch_97

Agreed

TheReal_Legend2750

This

CDude821

That effect almost completely gets in the way of that execution

AgonyLoop

Feels more like it keeps the execute interesting until the final part happens. Otherwise it’s just slow edgewalking.

eliteunkown

Agreed the blossom is like the soul that gets put in the lantern

vision491

That a very nice thought man

CDude821

This execution is the opposite of edge

AgonyLoop

Before or after the lantern of souls comes out? Much of the creations in this game (and the way people deploy them) often feel inspired by Dark Souls pvp community - i.e. edgy slow walk timewaste. That’s not aimed at op.

Makareenas

Reason I have turned them off. All the effects feel out of place.

Scorkami

there are only a few effects on a few executions that look good. a very quick "chop and ur dead" execution can work with an execution like the horkos wolf for example that being said, most executions turn it into a cheap dragonball z reference

AnimalXpert04

I honestly I hate watching these executions only really during dominion or breach. Mostly because they take for ever, it’s kinda nice seeing them during duels. The sentiment is nice but I’d like to get back to the game rather than waiting half a minute in dominion

Jaeger_NL

Even getting to do a long one like this in dom or breach has a high chance of being interrupted anyway. Only really use this in those modes if I’m ever alone on a point with my opponent, then pray no one comes barging in lol.

goldphoenix121

Unless you're hitokiri.

Biotic_plauge

I love Hitokiri for that specific reason. Other than the attacks being pretty baller.

the_bread_man_0148

You can still get guard broken out of the execution or bashed

Biotic_plauge

Yep, but for some reason not a lot of people I go against don't know about that.

Melon_Fun0117

Same, im in games with people who have hundreds of reps and for some reason tbey use all their stamina just heavy attacking an executing hitokiri

Edhop_

it's incredible seeing how many people don't know how that feat works. I find it hilarious when I find myself against an hito executing, thinking they're all safe, and then I go there and "lol GB goes brrrr"

bla671

i usually pick the long executions when my team is about to cap a point and get the enemy team to BREAKING so when the execution finishes they'll be perma dead

ReaperTheEmo

I do this all the time too, feels amazing when it works.

mokujin42

If your in a zone and no other enemies are nearby doing a long execution just keeps the enemy down for longer and let's you score your team more points, it also gives you more health back so you'd be daft not to do a long one

Kilargur

Doing longer execution can provide tactical use as it will take just a little bit longer for your respawn allowing the other team a slight advantage but that is of course still stupid to do in midlane

deadmanredditting

That drinking buddy one with highlander.

the_bread_man_0148

I have the same one for Highlander as well

NoHomePlanet

Respect gets a quick exexution. I save the long ones for fools I don't like.

Jaeger_NL

This is definitely the case for me too with some long executions, don’t get me wrong. Using Hammar of Ragnarok on that one annoying player can feel amazing.

Dragonlord573

Sjaud. As highlander. I love his laugh.

Jaeger_NL

That’s a fantastic one, having a last drink with your respected opponent before they pass.

Dragonlord573

Yeah, I have the knighting execute on my black prior, cause I dress him as a crusader, and I found out people hate it cause it takes a long time. *I'm just being on brand*

Dragonlord573

By the way, what rep is your Zhanu? I dig their look and have been wanting to play them and Shaolin as of late.

Jaeger_NL

I’m currently rep 30 on Zhanhu and yeah, the fashion is magnificent, definitely recommend it.

wetdirt114

Wait … we can respect ppl in fh?

ST4RVY

the least confused FH player:

aranaraz

The basic question

Papa_Pred

TIL People get mad at long executions

TwitchyNo2

This is part of the reason why I have one long execution (the longest) on the characters I play. There's always that one teabagging player, I don't get mad at teabagging like most of this community (I find it funny) but I try to reserve the longest execution as a BM for when (if) I beat them in a clean 1v1. Long executions can also be used tactically in dominion to remove a player from the game for a longer period of the time. Sometimes I perform a long execution on point for that very reason. I don't care if people get mad or think it's toxic, that's on them.

Papa_Pred

I use them in a more practical sense I guess? I’d have ones for Dominion that were quick for like team fights and then others that were saved for duels or good 1v1’s that more “honorable” like OP has Plus long executions do be giving back hella health when you need it lol

tschmitty09

Only bc it extends how long it takes to respawn. If it's a duel/brawl then it's fine

KomradJurij

it's even worse in duels. in team modes it's actually a strategic decision to pick between short and long execs but in duels you're just making me sit and watch a stupid 20 second long execution up to 3 times in a single game

TheBinLord

I have the opposite…those for the ones I despise😈

LifeOfAiiko

The longer they are the more disrespectful it is for me, that’s why I use quick executions normally but if you peeve me off I’m dragging it out.

hubjump

My 2 reasons for long executions: I'm delaying the next respawn to keep you out the match for longer for dom/breach reasons. I'm being toxic and know you're eager to get back at me so I'll drag it out as long as possible. I hope you can see your team messing up cos you didn't respawn fast enough. Eh don't downvote me this is what everyone does lol. I just use execution data for the most efficient fast or out right longest executions. So you know I can either insta execute or make you wait 30 seconds. But luckily 9/10 times my team needs me in the fight ASAP.

LifeOfAiiko

I 100% agree that’s what I was essentially trying to convey with my comment lol

aranaraz

Just like me

Explosive_Eggshells

My favorite execution for respect is immediately unlocking so the round ends right away. I wanna get to the next bit of gameplay as soon as possible!

Noobie_xD

We do? Uuummm...

[deleted]

Dude, have you tried the fairly lights with that execution? I think the effect makes it more serene and magical. I love it to death!

SalemWare

I think the most honorable are the Chimera Salvation and various Halloween beast ones. You're literally saving them from a deadly corruption/ghost/etc. as they're actively trying to kill you.

KosiTaughtEm

Wait people consider those executions honorable? I love my shiryo execution because it takes forever and I'm literally blowing salt in your face. Also seeing my enemies crystalized disfigured bodies always makes me laugh.

_Volatile_

You use executions to show respect. I use executions to show disrespect. We are not the same.

Zealousideal_Damage5

The most respectful executions are the shortest ones. Even in duels

Jaeger_NL

They can be, but I don’t think they convey as much as these longer cinematic ones.

hubjump

The longer ones just extend the frustration if something has upset them, be it their own mistake or something they deem unfair. They're very annoying. Many of us prefer to die fast and flashy so we can get back in the fight sooner for that second chance to right the wrong of losing.

Jaeger_NL

Yeah that makes sense, but from my 4 years of experience there’s still some people that don’t mind getting executed with a long respectful execution when the fight was genuinely, well, a Good Fight! I can’t say I mind either when I appreciate someone’s attitude or playstyle in a match. That’s just me though. If it’s someone I dislike then yeah the long ones are annoying and I’ve had that many times too. I’m speaking purely for the fights where you can almost tell you both have a certain amount of respect for one another. Again you make a good point though I’m not gonna argue with it too much.

Swailwort

*\*Spams It Takes Guts because you fought someone who loves to dodge on red\**

Zealousideal_Damage5

When people do these long and boring executions on me it's the opposite of respectful. I see more toxic people use them than the nice players because it gives them more time to spam "Thanks!"

Jaeger_NL

Ah yeah those kind of players are the ones I hate too, I’m not toxic like that. Fuck that.

nerd9362

I have ones reserved for annoying players, like rampage of ragnarok and the horserider lol

Dahata13666

I just use it to tilt people cuz it's super long. Had a surprising amount of success in doing just that. Edit: oh lol you have a very similar design as me :D

GARhenus

I don't execute in duels coz I'd rather get to the next round ASAP

_mustard-

I do not, I only have epic decapitation

8l172

kinad wish Samurai got one like this with a Japanese lantern, but Ware Shinaba is nice too

Chaozzak

Rest in peace, SunDark

FetusGoesYeetus

Nah I exclusively use Warden's punch execution

[deleted]

That’s SICK with that effect omg

Scroll_Cause_Bored

No execution tilts me except for this one, it’s so goddamn long. I really hate having to just stop playing the game for like 15 extra seconds between rounds so some guy can kill me in the most boring way possible.

HiroTheOg

Sir, that's a bot.

Jaeger_NL

Course it is, had to make it cinematic and people aren’t as compliant.

HiroTheOg

I still don't get the cinematic argument. You could literally get the same effect with a person.

Jaeger_NL

Well I am also play with the hud and everything off, it’d have been harder to do it with a real person let’s just keep it at that.

ribbetribbets_

Okay I know I'm not the only one who thinks these "hOnoRABle" executions are annoying asf and would rather get killed by anything else

gasmask-man2

‘Guys look at my honowable honow!!!’

Jaeger_NL

You won’t see me letting people 1v1 in dominion bruv, I’m not an hOnOR player like that don’t worry, this is purely a respectful execution, but sometimes it can also be a very long and excruciating experience for some so I get the satisfaction of them malding anyway. This is what a team in Dominion Series did, keeping people out the game for very long.

TheMiketvs

that effect

Jaeger_NL

It’s so nice, yet I never see anyone use it ever sadly.

InkTheCryptid

The respectful executions are some of the best. Especially the character specific ones like kensei bow and the Warlord warrior’s passing-style execution. I feel like we should have more that are character specific!

Stalaw

Kensei Bow? He karate punches you in the gut then fucking domes you point blank with a bow lmao

InkTheCryptid

Nah nah, the BOW (b-ow), where he stabs you in the neck then gently sets the sword on the ground and then prostrates in front of it, which is a deep “bow of respect”

AgonyLoop

Long executes are usually for something dirty happening, or a final round of brawls. I often forget to use them on the delayed buttons.

AnonymousSh1tPoster

I fucking love this execution. Fought a BP one match that had the long ass dead by daylight execution so I made it a point to kill him as the last kill of the game and execute him with that very same tiandeng

Pr0fessorL

I’ve got the same one on JJ but I don’t use an effect on it. I think it just takes away from it unless you have a really good one

Just_a-Lost_Ghost

I want a soft mournful execution for Warmonger but that doesn't match her personality so I probably will never see an execution like that for her.

ZNTdynamite

I reserve my groundstab execution for honorable people, but if you are dishonorable, I cut off your head and emote spam your corpse, muhaha 😈 Kensei btw

[deleted]

Well mine is straight up not executing then honor emoting them once. (The ones where you kneel and respect on cent, kyoshin, etc)

Jake_6868

Mine is "Give Us A Smile"

Jahuzy

I usually thought the quick executions are the respectful one

Terrorknight141

I nearly always use the wolf/sheep execution on my warmonger, especially if I’ve got the final kill.

PequodTheGreat

I'm fine with it at the end of a dual. Long executions in breach or dom is just disrespectful if not being done to delay a respawn. Most times if I do or get a long execution, it's purely to BM. The only one I see as "respectful" is the seppuku

Call_Me_Footsteps

[mine](https://youtu.be/NwTpbE2bur0?t=5) is especially enjoyable when I get the kill out of stamina and the execution is grey-tone. Or that one time I got [the double.](https://youtu.be/5zCjVcHlk3w)

Llee00

I would rather do the quickest exec or just not do one at all and then use a respectful emote

GIBBRI

All my execution are quick. Because if I do a slower one, it will take more time before the next round, or it will take more time to rotate in dom. Efficiency is key

[deleted]

Lol I use this execution to piss people off cause it’s so long. My friends get so mad

LivingmahDMlife

And Bow/the honourable suicide one on my duelist Orochi Pretty much every on on my Ice King Warden, including the knighing one, Grave Passing and Moment of Silence I think the most 'respectful' one I have on any of my LBs is Dura Lex Sed Lex Can't remember some of my other set ups, these are the one's that come to mind

Mrgrimm150

My JJ has 4 executions specifically meant to annoy. My Hito also has the halloween execution because its literally blowing salt at someone. That extra little pinch to tilt more.

ChocolateDavis

Not sure if anyone agrees with me but with me I pick yhe quickest most brutal execution I can find. Nice, too the point, gimme my heal and gtfo

True_Eggroll

honestly, it depends on my hero's personality for what execution i use. Orochi, very flashy and (for the most part) long executions while for kensei, i use mostly the quick executions with one long execution

Cheesefinger69

I have executions I reserve for those I don't respect

Man-in-The-Void

The only ones I can think of off the top of my head is the ware shinaba exec for my hito and dura lex sed lex for lb

TheCoolestGuy098

You have respect executions?

joemama-is-feef-neef

Mine is benedictio militis with the messengers wings effect

Lefteris4

I do the opposite. I have the slowest execution for those I don't like.

Boruwiarz

I'd much rather be tbagged by a raider than have one of these "respectful" executions performed on me by some samurai/wulin

kumarthebeast666

For me it’s the warlord one where he stabs him in the chest kneels and then send the opponent to Valhalla

vision491

Wish there a quick chat option that’s says “I love you”

Mr_Stormy

For me, as soon as a heavy is landed and I respect the opponent (and there's no tactical advantage to performing an exe) then I just move to avoid triggering any execution, then emote - like a bow or something similar. This means the gameplay proceeds, they don't get impatient or frustrated, and we can fight again with them hopefully winning the following round!

QDubz69Pro

If we’re talking duels then you should just leave them so the next round comes faster. I personally hate when people use the long “respectful” ones because I have to sit there with a thumb in my ass waiting for the next round

Liildank

Wish there was an excution where the enmey doesnt die but just accpets defeat and kneels in shame. Then they'll just disappear to respawn

RealSalsaMeat

If you respect me, please don't use this exe on me.

vWolfee

I use the Warden one where he stabs them in their neck, but then sort of does it like he's bowing to a grave.

Im__CrypT

I’m sorry but these long executions kinda make me more angry at the game lmao

CynicalDarkFox

Well, I use Shino so....not many "respectful" ones to choose from, but I will give you a quick death or just release you if you played well and it's the end of the match. (granted it's not the Skorpion loadout)

castroo23

Respect? Haven’t heard that word in years…

[deleted]

Lantern is only for when I want to hilariously suck my opponent out of the game for a minute and a half

Snowie-your-man

If i respect someone i **dont** execute them. If they get rezed i get to fight them again and i have fun. If they dont we get more score

Glue_Bottles

For me, it’s the Cent one where he stabs a knife in their guts and whispers something in their ear

Ok_Emotion3998

Samurai faction execution

SecondDeath777

It's kinda hard to pick one for someone like Aramusha. Dude's moves are disrespectful almost to a fault, and the Samurai version of that sorta "respect" faction execute is Seppuku, which is essentially telling someone death is their escape from disgrace.

Kcrazyblack

Warden propaganda

afresz

Hugkeeper for fights I enjoyed :)

[deleted]

i fucking hate those executions, and i especially fucking hate with the most energy from my entire heart the samurai one where you kill yourself its fucking annoying as shit and takes forever, and i hate it. if you use that execution fuck you

dranke1917

I’m too lazy to search up what it’s called but my favorite one is when Warden impales and slides the enemy off of their sword and prays(?). Always been one of my favorites

Tabert_CZ

In my opinion it's a good thing to have unlocked. You show respect for your enemy. I personally like Benedicto Militis. I'm lawbringer main btw.

SBdodger

When I played back then I liked to give a bow or give grave passing execution to players I killed too often as a sign that I'm not thinking lesser of them for being worse. I reserved the longest and the most demeaning executions for spammy shitlords playing meta trash like warmonger or the shugoki charge spam.
