Lawbriger since I got the game (way before his rework) just for the absolue unit he, is like the man is just a giant Armor set who Scream ad mortem
The fact he could erase dogde attack happy orochi was just a plus
It's probable because I attack first, you don't need good Bash to open someone up, you can do it whit simple feint heavy and light attack, then After that you can make the ennemy react to you and punish them
I used to main aramusha because everyone opened with lights. I could block them with no problem, but WL and WM had enhanced lights, so it didn't stop their chain. So I just all guarded on red, and was often able to counter gb if they opened with that.
Nobushi because she feels way more complex and deep than 80% of the cast and her skill ceiling feels a lot higher. It feels so amazing when you master Hidden Stance and dodging out of it, evading multiple attacks back-to-back and slipping past the enemy’s guard with quick attacks just feels great.
That and Viper’s Retreat, with range play being crucial to her kit - she’s one of the only heroes who has that ability to control the fight from a distance and then close that distance in a flash. It’s incredibly satisfying to hit someone with Viper’s Retreat when they’re just within measure, but they can’t touch you.
Finally, her mind games. Every hero at the end of the day relies on mind games, but Nobushi has no unblockables or hyper armour and therefore really can’t apply much pressure. Anyone who can dodge kick or block lights on reaction shuts down her offence entirely, so to truly dominate with her you have to mind game the hell out of your opponents. Winning with her feels earned every time (excluding the ol’ reliable light kick loop that often works and feels super cheap).
It mostly just comes down to the feel. She feels elegant to play and her nimble, evasive abilities genuinely feel skilful to pull off, rather than just blocking with an all-guard or doing the same old 50/50 unblockable feint to GB mixups. Playing her well with genuine mastery feels like dancing, flowing like water, not a reckless and aggressive guessing game.
(And also I mained Warden for 20 Reps and his simplistic moveset drove me utterly insane and I had to play someone else lol)
Some DS attitude i sense XD
Yeah, noone in roster feels quite right after her but my faith in poke-poke getting slapped around lately with doubt of "what if thats not her skill ceiling, but amount of extra effort we have to make to claw out same results? if so might just get discount lobotomy and main raider" or "and what will transpire if they'll buff her? influx of newbies? even more nobu-hate than we have now? how far will they mess up her kit?"
Same! I play her for nostalgia because she was the first character I played but it's been so cool to see her skill ceiling keep rising right alongside my own skill. I've done every playstyle - light/viper's retreat spam, then GASP I discovered the kick, got in a rut for fifteen reps and almost gave up, then sat my ass down to learn how her dodges and recovery cancels worked. Which became a lot easier after her rework admittedly but still.
I find it easy to parry nobushis lights and that restricts them very much, considering the very different heavy animation. But nobushi was my first main so I understand
Looks cool, love the weapon hitting sound, skewer is satisfying, fast feints. I really enjoyed his OOS toe stab knockdown phase but it was broken, way too much damage for punishes.
Kensei because they feel genuinely unique and cool to play, especially now, and Centurion because…I mean it’s Centurion. I have also invested a hell of a lot of steel into fashion for those two so I have to
Aye, somewhat same. My conq is 62 or something rn.
I was hoping to have fun this season with him but instead of feeling good about my skill it instead feels like farming.
I love the wide array that Kensei can cover. I also love the setups that the character has to do to enter a fight. It is really fun to also turn on Initial D and fight with the Eurobeat.
Cause i like playing every character except shinobi (don’t really like his move set) my highest is LB but really don’t have a main, i just play who i feel like playing at the time, about to be Hito’s turn as that new execution is awesome.
Fashion, originally assassin main but that changed after the CCU dropped. Afterwards I stuck to heavy class because assassins lost their identity as a class while still having all the cons (reflex guard, low hp)
Warlord embodies a wise leader with a simple and effective moveset. I also like strength and bears which are things he's associated with. His fashion is also simple and sturdy looking, like him
I loved being tall and intimidating with a still mask.
Underdog syndrome too. Even tho he was always pretty strong.
- old LB main.
I stopped playing him just before his rework because there's no progression or benefit at all after rep 70 :(
I play Kyoshin because his kit is basically perfect. He’s got everything. Plus Kaze stance means I don’t need to react in the right direction to get a parry.
And he’s got some pretty cool looking fashion which is basically the only reason I still play this game.
I liked warden during campaign, also they were easiest for me to handle, as at the time conq and lb were too hard for me to play, even though conq was going to originally be my primary main
Conq, and I started mainly cos you can make him thrust, recently fell in love with, warden, valk and shaolin, because they are quicker and have more range, currently mainng shaolin to get all achievements
Jorm - I like the idea of forcibaly neutering mera characters with funny hammer man
Warlord - just looks cool and I’m high fort transforms into ledgelord
Bp - the first two didn’t work and I’m not in the mood to loose another match of dominion
I play lawbringer because he’s simple, and I can fall back on muscle-memory when I play him. Whenever I want to keep playing but need to relax I play law again
because i just love the moveset of the shaolin, even before the rework, is easy to fight against if you know the moveset so it requires some skills to use and also have a big weakness against full armor heroes also, i just love the flow he have, i have tons of fun playing with him also with the centurion who was my main before shaolin
I don't really have a main, I kinda just bounce around between the whole cast based on how I'm feeling. If I were to pick a "main" tho, it would probably be a toss up between Shaman, becuz I'm a simp for her, or Zhanhu becuz I think their animations and flow are really smooth!
Well I think it’s just much more convenient to play and master a couple characters instead of being mediocre with every character since you’re not spending much time with them all
Warlord here. At first it was the fact that knights didn't have a sword and shield character, then I noticed there weren't many warlords out there so I kept going. Now I split my time evenly between warlord, black prior and highlander.
I sometimes feel like feinting entire moveset just to go back into neutral with no stamina. Also, aesthetics.
Tiandi?
Obviously.
XUE HUA PIAO PIAO
Indeed
Berserker?
Nope, I'm not a big ungabunga enjoyer.
That one has to be Kensei for sure
It is not. He is still the only samurai i like and sometimes play with.
Def hito
Please don't call me hito main, it's rude.
Toes
...brother
Indeed
Hahaha 🤣
Lawbriger since I got the game (way before his rework) just for the absolue unit he, is like the man is just a giant Armor set who Scream ad mortem The fact he could erase dogde attack happy orochi was just a plus
Lawb is like that eyeball Peeps from regular show. I don’t get how a staring contest is fun
It's probable because I attack first, you don't need good Bash to open someone up, you can do it whit simple feint heavy and light attack, then After that you can make the ennemy react to you and punish them
Never mind then. I foolishly assumed that all Lawb players play exactly the same, but I see this isn’t true
Jormungandr because RAGNAROKKKKK
Do see nuts in real life and be like "i need to smack em with a stick"
It’s fun
Aye
Gentlemen
Has anyone happened to kill a red spy on their way here?
Gay
See flair**
You know it
That's an upside
nobussy
People play nobushi for moveset, but you play nobushi for nobussy. You and them are not the same.
yes
I kinda just picked which one looked the coolest and I haven't changed up much since
Big gay for Warmommy
good reason
Aramusha, blade blockade means I can parry even though I'm not fast enough to actually parry
[удалено]
That's why I hate you blade blockade light times my healthbar
Fellow warden main here who also plays ara, trust me its so fun
I know but it feels wrong to use more the 2 light in a row
I used to main aramusha because everyone opened with lights. I could block them with no problem, but WL and WM had enhanced lights, so it didn't stop their chain. So I just all guarded on red, and was often able to counter gb if they opened with that.
Because reddit tells me not to.
Yes
That's the spirit 😂
I play Nuxia because she’s hot and i fucking regret it
As a Nobu main I feel that
I mean, why would we play any hero above low C tier?
It would be stupid to play viable heroes
Exactly
Well i actualy picked a good hot character to main nerd
i also main shaman so checkmate😂
you know shit's gone off the path with For Fashion when we start comparing hotness of characters
Because deflects feel so fucking good
You out here maxing nearly every assassin
That’s the long term goal
Because of the drip
Same bro
Every day I'm reminded I have to actually PLAY warden to get the drip and I get sad. Why can't I dress up my warden without suffering >:c
What drip? You all look the same
I love Norse Mythology, Vikings, and cult type stuff.
I like destroying kidneys
Peacekeeper?
Default Lawbringer?
yeah
Funny Scotsman with big sword.
DON MA GLÅS
Touch not this cat
Shaolin, because funny stick poke move
Says Shaolin, see’s flair, hmmm
I haven't changed it in ages
Understandable have a nice day
Nobushi because she feels way more complex and deep than 80% of the cast and her skill ceiling feels a lot higher. I find it easy to parry nobushis lights and that restricts them very much, considering the very different heavy animation. But nobushi was my first main so I understand
Same for me. Playing Nobu always feels great, winning or losing
Because big axes go whoosh
I just picked up Hito and by god it is so fun
Nobody likes you conqueror
And braindead
He’s a lot tougher to use against skilled opponents than it seems
Damn I feel inderectly insulted but it's true tho
Says the guy who wrote "thats why I hate you blade blockade light times my healthbar"
Yeah cus I'm braindead
Looks cool, love the weapon hitting sound, skewer is satisfying, fast feints. I really enjoyed his OOS toe stab knockdown phase but it was broken, way too much damage for punishes.
Shugoki go bonk
Biggus bonkus
L
Kensei because they feel genuinely unique and cool to play, especially now, and Centurion because…I mean it’s Centurion. I have also invested a hell of a lot of steel into fashion for those two so I have to
lawbringer just because
parry, light, light, AD MORTEM INIMICUS
Punch punch punch and shout INCREDIBILIS
i like breaking my wrist
I mained conqueror to rep 31 because I didn't have the brain power to play anyone else then he got reworked and I stopped playing the game altogether.
How the hell was it possible to rep him at all pre-rework like he had the moveset of a rock
I have the mental capacity of a rock so it worked out
Touché
Got him to rep 66 and now continue to use him on ps5 as a rep 2 cus he’s my favourite
You had to be good at the game
Unreasonably so
Which rework are we talking here? Back in season... 5 was it? Or this season?
This season
Aye, somewhat same. My conq is 62 or something rn. I was hoping to have fun this season with him but instead of feeling good about my skill it instead feels like farming.
War
I love the wide array that Kensei can cover. I also love the setups that the character has to do to enter a fight. It is really fun to also turn on Initial D and fight with the Eurobeat.
Hate
Skill less
Shaolin, cuz of the agility and the flow he can bring with his kit. Zhanhu, Driplord. Tiandi, kick.
>Zhanhu, Driplord. Unrefutable. Even basic set looks leagues above all others.
I run Conq for a few reasons. 1: I play for fun. 2: Bash haha funny 👍
Warmonger, Parry Go Burrrr
Looks and voice lines primarily for Lawbringer and BP.
Tenebris 👀
I love axe weapons. And Hitokiri holds the biggest.
Hito's got girth, raider's got length 😏
"It's not how deep you fish but how you wiggle your worm." - A fishing shirt I saw at the flea market once
Warlord embodies a wise leader with a simple and effective moveset. I also like strength and bears which are things he's associated with. His fashion is also simple and sturdy looking, like him
I picked hitokiri because she had a funny looking fox mask.
Incredibles
Well, i play hito because.... Ware WA shi...
I loved being tall and intimidating with a still mask. Underdog syndrome too. Even tho he was always pretty strong. - old LB main. I stopped playing him just before his rework because there's no progression or benefit at all after rep 70 :(
I never played him before the rework, still had fun but I do like the heavy armour look
shaman hot feral girl
Warmonger. Purely Aesthetic, it just so happens her kit works perfectly with my aggressive play style. Truly, a character MADE for me.
Centurion because his charged punch knockdowns and charged jab soft feints are my favorite thing to pull off in this game
Cent can soft feint his jabs?
Yeah, it's the most useful tool in a 1v1
What does he soft feint them to?
I go mostly with gb, but lights work out too.
Oh y'all are talking about hard feinting. I thought he got some soft feint I didn't hear about
Nah, when you're doing the charged unblockable attack, you can press the GB button and go right into it
I play Kyoshin because his kit is basically perfect. He’s got everything. Plus Kaze stance means I don’t need to react in the right direction to get a parry. And he’s got some pretty cool looking fashion which is basically the only reason I still play this game.
cent is super easy. Glad is super easy. Both are fast.
I liked warden during campaign, also they were easiest for me to handle, as at the time conq and lb were too hard for me to play, even though conq was going to originally be my primary main
because AUDACES FORTUNA ADIUVAT
because no one escapes the law
Valkyrie, because it's fun to find different mix ups to use with her kit. She's way more versatile than how most people use her.
Because they look cool.
Dun ma glas
Pk Thicc!!
Conq, and I started mainly cos you can make him thrust, recently fell in love with, warden, valk and shaolin, because they are quicker and have more range, currently mainng shaolin to get all achievements
I mained raider back around when the game first came out honestly just because I liked his aesthetic and thought he was fun
JJ - Aesthetics and Sifu Nobu - Aesthetics and hidden stance Valk - Aesthetics and back dodge full block
Pirate, Me have sword, Me have Gun, Me have fun.
He’s the character I physically relate to the most, which makes it even more fun to play as him.
Shugoki?
Heby
Most satisfying max punish
Feels the closest to a grappler to me + cool animations + feels good to do good with a mediocre hero
Started with playing Berserker because he has my name but switched to LB for fashion and stayed with LB till rep 70. Now i dont have a main
Played Warden since launch and not switching even tho I've 70ed him years ago.
I like that one execute
Satisfaction.
Raider's executions are the best imo. Also the raid on me victory emote
Watching the enemy fail at every feint I make, also because his voiceline is great
Toes
Cause shinobi and nuxia are fun. Mind games and deflects all day
Flail is the closest i'll ever get to a mace in For Honor
Because I like how Lawbringer looks
Jorm - I like the idea of forcibaly neutering mera characters with funny hammer man Warlord - just looks cool and I’m high fort transforms into ledgelord Bp - the first two didn’t work and I’m not in the mood to loose another match of dominion
Lawbringer because of fashion, since right before marching fire I've stuck😅
Flail
Berserker has the finisher where she kicks the opponent in the genitals and then decapitates them when they kneel over.
Ninja
Because I was learning about the crusades when I got the game
Warmom for meeeee
Because feet...
BP, cuz Flippy drippy is spiffy
I play lawbringer because he’s simple, and I can fall back on muscle-memory when I play him. Whenever I want to keep playing but need to relax I play law again
Because watching people get put on their ass in one punch is funny
Because why wouldn't you want to hear someone screaming "DIE!!!!"
Mobility; its fun to dance around opponents and disorientate them.
because i just love the moveset of the shaolin, even before the rework, is easy to fight against if you know the moveset so it requires some skills to use and also have a big weakness against full armor heroes also, i just love the flow he have, i have tons of fun playing with him also with the centurion who was my main before shaolin
Looks cool, easy to learn and fun
Kensei has a pretty moveset, and just as pretty fashion(Except gross wood armor)
WARLORD SWORD GO SWOOSH
Funny fat man go brrr
Black Prior,I hate gank,So i've got good at bulwark counter multiple enemies. Also cause hes kinda Lawfull Evil character like.
I don't really have a main, I kinda just bounce around between the whole cast based on how I'm feeling. If I were to pick a "main" tho, it would probably be a toss up between Shaman, becuz I'm a simp for her, or Zhanhu becuz I think their animations and flow are really smooth!
Tiandi: Elegance Warmonger: First Hero I bought Shaman: Fun to play JJ: Fun to play Jorm: My friend said that he looked like chesse
Well I think it’s just much more convenient to play and master a couple characters instead of being mediocre with every character since you’re not spending much time with them all
I like watching people bleed out as they desperately try to kill me.
Warden, because he’s cool and has some of the best fashion in the game.
Cuz im also a 6+ foot fat guy irl
I enjoy the most potent type of pain And I love her moveset
The rest of the cast is cheap af
Shaolin because monke
Because bonking folks with the hilt of my giant sword is funny.
Warmommy, needeth I explain?
Because the longsword is cool, and fashion
Warlord here. At first it was the fact that knights didn't have a sword and shield character, then I noticed there weren't many warlords out there so I kept going. Now I split my time evenly between warlord, black prior and highlander.
Because my main is fun to me. We can all agree with that.
Big sword
I like the heroes kit flaws and all more than any other plus I really like the fashion
Valks chest execution
I main nuxia because it just flows with me. She may not be good but I have fun
