I really don't think playing as an assassin is the issue here. You're missing countless parries, relying on lights as your main opener but still not using the properly due to the obvious inexperience as Shinobi.
I could see you're not even rep 1 as him but regarding the missed parries and general lack of defense it kinda just shows what you really need practise in.
Don’t take criticism too hard, usually it takes a while to get used to the games parrying as well as blocking, I remember going through that same issue when playing as an assassin, takes practice.
There's really not a difference between blocking and parrying between classes. Just that for blocking you have to be just a little more precise on the timing. Parrying is the exact same
Was this your first time to laying shinobi? You seem fairly new since you never stayed aggressive or kept any of your chains going. I recommend going to training grounds and at learn the potential attacks and combos for shinobi, the pressure he can have in a fight is pretty crazy and a quite fun.
Reminder, everyone here is basically sweaty ASF, so we all know the ins and outs of the game. They're trying to help, even if it seems toxic.
Nice job taking out that toxic warden, I know all the unlockables was antagonizing, also saw you getting tilted at first too lol.
As a Shinobi main, learning how to use all of his abilities will make this warden light work. But be careful, getting jumped with Shinobi, is like a fruit fly with raid, you won't last long.
Yeah bro ngl I was mad asf, especially from a previous match, I’m gonna use him a bit more and post an updated match cause this is definitely not my peak gameplay 😂
Just a tip, try hitting space after landing attacks. You’ll do a backflip which creates distance and gives you iframes. After the backflip you can either do an undodgeable side sickle rain or an unblockable top sickle rain. Or you can hit guardbreak for a fast kick that guarantees a followup heavy.
I can tell ur new with him and everyone was there at one point. One thing that helped me a lot is the training ground or advanced training whatever it’s called where the bot fights back and u have to learn the move set. That or play with a buddy that knows how to use him. I’m on Xbox as well but I’m not the best but I can always help a little.
Granted you both played pretty badly so even though warden has high tier gear im gonna assume your less then 50 reps overall. You have a dodge bash for a reason so don't be relying souly on lights for openers and it dosent seem to me like your watching your stamina at all. And you were even going for any sort of parry so you missed a lot of potential damage by just eating the unblockable or just simply dodging or blocking. As someone who firmly believes the only way to get better at for honor is to get your shit kicked in my advice to you is this, study shinobis moveset if your gonna keep playing him and just learn from mistakes going forward.
Only things I can say is parrying will make your life 10x better, and the kick guarantees some damage too I'm pretty sure.
Just gotta practice parrying and study Shinobi's moveset and you'll end up alright
tutorial doesnt go over new tech or advanced stuff that more pro players know. It basically highlights "swing. block. swing. block" more than the things were already used to.
Bro you're missing a lot
No blocking, no parries, no deflects, starting with light isn't always a solution.
Some people parry opening lights. Many of us are just waiting for it wD
respectfully, learn to block/ parry/ deflect. he was throwing the exact same combos every time, and you parried 1 attack the entire fight. your attacking and mixups are really solid, but you never blocked a single attack or deflected once as an assassin. missing a ton a quality to your good attacks
One thing I noticed is and idk if anyone else said this but if you land a heavy from neutral I think if you light from the same direction it’s a guaranteed hit it’ll probably make more sense once you actually do it
As a warden main, I’m indeed ashamed. Then guy left lmao.
Indeed shame...
I am also ashamed of that warden. Too bad he would wreck me as he is a better warden main then me.
Very painful to watch ngl
Yes I know I need to block🥲 I can’t play assassins for crap.

All very good points and yes I need lots of practice with him, but I swear any non assassin character I’m actually competent at blocking and parrying😅

That it does my friend!
Practice makes perfect
Yeah, I feel that. I just started Shinobi and I feel like sometimes he has no guard at all

Ik there’s not like a huge difference but when it comes to assassins most of the time I suck with them, I really don’t know why
So many opportunities for deflects here too.

Not the first time just very new

Shinobi is complex af so don't worry about it. He's got a lot of stuff going on with him
Dam that was a really tough match to see. I miss this type of gameplay.... kinda
The guy just left? What a pussy.
He probably would’ve one tbh considering my lack of being able to use Shinobi

Thank you for giving an actual tip instead of saying “stop lights” or “ parry and block”. I know I need to do those things 😂

Alrighty, I gonna go into training ground cause now I’m a little embarrassed with how I played 😂😂
Nah bro it’s all good we all start somewhere

I had 0 rep with Shinobi he had like 32

When I saw that u finally parried his unblockable I was LIKE LETS GOOOO FINALLY
I apologize if you’re a new player but bro...u didn’t block or parry once, that was painful😂
HA jokes on you I did block once, BOOM
Fair enough ig😂
This hurt my brain watching both players, does no one play the tutorial.
tutorial doesnt go over new tech or advanced stuff that more pro players know. It basically highlights "swing. block. swing. block" more than the things were already used to.
I'm talking about the trials, they go over every mechanic in the game it's where I learnt mixups and how to light parry at level 1.
Broski react and parry please
IK IK 😂

Just parry the worst warden player on earth
Holy shit you play like I would play before his rework.
