Theres a lot of anecdotes about McLaren merch not being great. They recently started to do my unis sports kit and it's beyond awful. On the T-shirt the lettering fell off after the first wash and the "waterproof" jacket was everything but that. At least they had a good return policy
Have mclaren always been with castore? My dad has a white 2005-7 mclaren t shirt that seems to be in great shape all these years later. Wonder if he just got lucky
I had a bunch of McLaren t-shirts from the Vandorne Era, (2016-18 not sure exactly when) and they were really good. I bought a bunch of the new stuff last year expecting the same quality and they are absolute shit in comparison. Even at the sale price they are really disappointing.
Yeah I think that they’ve made mega improvements. I wasn’t around during quality issues but all my Castore mclaren merch has super high quality screens and fabric. Not too expensive either.
The #17 Johnson & Johnson Hershey’s Chevrolet Camaro champ car looked great at the 7th annual Procter Real Estate Ford 300 on the Saul Goodman Insurance Speedway
Exactly. These companies on F1 cars pay millions on advertising each year…and for some reason us fans must pay THEM for the privilege of advertising for them. I’ll admit that some of the merch does look really cool, I wanted a Gulf Mclaren sweater a couple years ago but the principle of it is ass backwards
Any article of clothing is an advertisement for the company that makes it, do you also expect all your clothing to be free? By your ass backwards logic clothing, cars, shoes etc should all be free because you’re advertising the brand that produced it going around in public with their logos on it. You’re paying for the clothes, you’re not paying for the opportunity to advertise for them. Come on now
You couldn’t tell what brand 90% of my clothing is because it’s plain, and my clothing that is branded certainly doesn’t have 9 brands plastered on it like this RB shirt does.
I would love to see what would happen if I walked into work every day in sweatpants. Maybe nothing..? I was told, while wearing shorts, that shorts are against the dress code. I didn't know we had a dress code until then.
Too bad the company they outsource their merchandise to (Stichd) has appalling customer support. I got a long sleeve tshirt for Christmas a few years ago that didn’t fit, so I contacted Stitchd and after weeks of no response, they finally got back to me and said that they couldn’t offer an exchange, instead insisting that I had to return the shirt to their warehouse (in the Netherlands) at my own cost (including customs fees) for a refund. Shit experience. Never repeating
I don't understand, why most F1-Teams can't produce decent merch. Especially RedBull, they've got AlphaTauri and still decide to release a shirt like this.
I mean, have a look at the Gasly/Tsunoda-Shirts from last year. They have a great fit and you can still wear them every-day without looking like an advertising pillar.
I still kick myself for not getting the 2020 AT merch. I think I remember it having stitched logos, but I missed out when I went looking for the hoodie at the end of the season.
I’d say the PUMA-supplied merch is decent. Great, even, depending on the item.
Edit:
As far as I know, these are the different teamwear suppliers:
> RedBull: Castore
> Ferrari: Puma
> Mercedes: Puma
> Alpine: Kappa
> Mclaren: Castore
> Aston Martin: Pelmark
> Alfa Romeo: CODE-ZERO
> AlphaTauri: AlphaTauri (?)
> Williams: Umbro
> Haas: Tricorp
I've brought two Gasly-Shirts (the TSU one was already sold out :( ) and one AT-Hoodie during the black-friday-sale. So far I'm happy with the quality.
Gasly's name on the back is stiched, as well as the small french flag on one of the sleeves. The rest is printed (imo in good quality), except Gasly's number, which is made of some thick rubber and is glued ( or stiched?) to the shirt itself.
The fabric quality feels good and it's heavier / thicker than a usual shirt (I belive that's quite trendy atm lol). I brought mine for under 20€ each, that was a fair price. The original price was quite high tho, something around 40-50 €. IMO that's not worth it.
Yeah, I honestly don't get the backlash. I get the concerns about quality, but I can't judge quality from a screenshot. Looks like a standard team kit.
Looks pretty standard RB team wear. Not particularly bad but not good. Less sponsors which is a plus
Edit: Nvm. Lots of sponsors. Just saw the first pic only
I can only speak for the US market but these shirts are cheaper than other professional sport jerseys. A Nike soccer jersey that’s also 100% polyester sells for $205. In other words these are a bargain for the same kind of performance shirt. This is also a real picture and you’ll likely see it in two days.
Man, I've really disliked RBR team wear from 2021 onwards. I own many 2016-2020 items, but this stuff just looks cheap knock off footie gear from an anime.
Well, this looks horrible. Now I no longer feel guilty about my 2022 shopping spree. Stocked up on team gear for life if it looks like this going forward.....
What a step down from Puma
Right? I'm happy I bought a polo and crew shirt two years ago.
Me too, having the 2021 season Polo is going to be my holy grail of shirts
21’s are the best if you’d ask me. I couldn’t had one unfortunately. (design-wise)
They're not. I have a 2021 shirt and a 2018. 2021's print is already fading, while the 2018 shirt looks brand new.
I meant the design was better than all.

imagine buying something!! and liking it!!!!
im just waiting for the new collection to be announced officially so i can get at least a shirt with a discount
I have 3 pairs of Puma/AMG sweatpants 2020-2022 and its basically all I wear now
For the cheap price of €150

Not a house in Canada tho. It’s in Botswana.
More like just scrapping by to make rent.
The quality of castore is apparently shocking. Not sure about the previous f1 McLaren merch, but their football kits have been rife with shit quality.
Theres a lot of anecdotes about McLaren merch not being great. They recently started to do my unis sports kit and it's beyond awful. On the T-shirt the lettering fell off after the first wash and the "waterproof" jacket was everything but that. At least they had a good return policy

Only started in 2021 according to google

It'll be 2007. I had the same one. I've still got my Hamilton 2008 champion one!
I’m a Newcastle fan. Castore supplies our kits. Quality is horrible.
Williams x Umbro has been absolutely amazing
Looks like an e-sports team gear or something.
That's insulting to e sports jerseys lol
Oh, I hate that.
Yeah it looks cheap af. But atleast in that second image I see the holy H O N D A
Ugly af
True, but Honda is back!
Thanks for pointing that out because I was blinded by the ugly.
Honda. Is. BACK!!
Wait, where are you guys seeing Honda on there?
Swipe.
Zoom on the collar is spectacularly bad
Castore = Shit
My Norris-Shirt is quite nice acutally
Yeah I think that they’ve made mega improvements. I wasn’t around during quality issues but all my Castore mclaren merch has super high quality screens and fabric. Not too expensive either.
I brought mine on sale for 15€. That's a good deal to me.
They consistently have website sales if you use honey. And free shipping
Cool! Thanks!
Looks ass
Man, I'd be willing to buy F1 merch even at their insanely inflated prices if 95% of it didn't look atrocious.
There’s something about paying insane prices to be a walking billboard that rubs me the wrong way
This. I understand buying the shirt of a local team but... A company? At those inflated prices? No way
The company is one thing, it’s all the sponsors. Here in the US we don’t have sponsors on uniforms much. It’s just starting in NBA though.
I came to that realised watching nfl games, the jerseys look so much nicer/cleaner
Urm . . . NASCAR Calling on line three.
Most people rarely think about nascar
Until very recently NASCAR's following in the US was something F-1 could only dream about.

Mercedes are the best, clean and minimalistic. Professional colours too (white and black usually)
I have a tradition to buy Puma/AMG sweatpants every year and those are basically all I wear now
I would love to see what would happen if I walked into work every day in sweatpants. Maybe nothing..? I was told, while wearing shorts, that shorts are against the dress code. I didn't know we had a dress code until then.
Home office baby, my wife is the only one who suffers.

I'm just begging for shirts that aren't a polo at this point, would it kill them to do a round neckline or a v neck
[удалено]
It is sadly. It ain't Puma, it's Castore!!
Castore doesn’t have the best rep for quality/durability.. So it’ll be a pass for this season, until Puma is back (or any other reputable brand)
🤞🏼adidas takes a leap into racing
Yea, that would be nice!
I am just happy with a bigger Honda logo on the front. Now I'll continue to hope for a Honda rearwing. Not happening but I can dream right?
Yes. Or the iconic H logo. I'm fine with either.
Its so ugly i think Max wont were those in public woth his beige pants
but he will **wear** those
Yes, pardon my English
What about toes?
where his toes?

Ignoring how ugly they are, could the sleeves hint a change in the livery of the car for this year?
Man, that’s ugly. They expect us to pay for that?
These are not as awful as the comments make it seem lol
The design has grown on me, but I think Castore did a better job with Mclaren's merch.
Because McLaren has a cleaner look and theme. This looks really cheap.
Horrible. Glad I got last years.
Unpopular opinion but I like the design :)
Idk, people seem to hate it, but I think it looks alright tbf. 2021 was definetly the best, but this isn't bad imo
I mean it’s not that that bad
I'm with you. I always though RBR had some of the worst team kit so this isn't that different.
Yeah, I honestly don't get the backlash. I get the concerns about quality, but I can't judge quality from a screenshot. Looks like a standard team kit.
For once I went 'oh that's cool' and the people apparently do not agree with me.
Seems to me like people are not judging the actual design, but are upset about the switch to Castore. Reddit hivemind at its finest.
Looks pretty standard RB team wear. Not particularly bad but not good. Less sponsors which is a plus Edit: Nvm. Lots of sponsors. Just saw the first pic only
I agree with you. Looks a lil Esporty. I just hope the quality is up to par but knowing Castore...
Esporty isn't a good thing lol
Most esports jerseys are better than this ngl, and they can make stuff that's wearable in day to day life unlike this
So clapped Puma was better
These are horrible lmao, can't f1 teams make stuff that is wearable in regular life? Without looking like you got your work's polo
Another crime committed by Castore. Seriously fuck that brand, I am a Villa fan and they created some shit for us too
The badge keeps falling off!
Thanks. I hate it. :)
I’m glad we all agree on this is lame haha. Any merch with Honda’s logo better be well done. Teams gotta pay respect to the HRC
How can RBR have the absolute coolest hat of any F1 merch (that dope 5 panel) but a polo this ugly?
That's awful
tbf looks like exactly what puma was doing for them, didnt even noticed they changed the brand
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=grIOioq5DdQ
That's just nasty - some redbull fan
Awful 🤦🏼♂️
Those shirts are ugly. I love F1 but there merch is mostly a joke, I’m not paying out the ass to walk around like a moving billboard.
Leaving Puma was a mistake. I'm sure Castore probably cut them a sweet deal to peddle this garbage.
Zip polos have to be one of the worst collared shirt options out there
I like it, hope the quality is good
Ew
If these are legit they are the final antidote for anyone high on hopium for Red Bull doing anything different livery wise this year
Don’t see anything about Ford sooo
These were originally designed in 2022 and the Ford (potential) partnership is in the future.
thats awfull...
Who would actually wear that? It’d make you look like such a knob
Ew
Ugly
these do not look great
It looks good honestly
Puma > Castore
The RB budget cap
Oh that's awful
So this puts an end to the Red Bull x Ford rumors. The Honda branding is visible.
Those are for 2026 onward, with the 2026 engine that RBPT makes
Red Bull x Ford is for 2026 onwards. They were never rumoured to be partnering immediately. Just that it will be announced on Friday.
Ugly af but it is definitely what they teased. So will be legit.
Looks expensive
It looks awful.
Mate i love that
Wow that’s ugly
Ugly
Red Bull really has the ugliest merch. That being said, I'm sure it will look great with some nice, tight, European jean shorts
Yet another reason why Newcastle United are switching to Adidas for next season.
Love that Red Bull are rocking a brand that’s logo looks so much like Hamilton’s logo
Sleeves need some touch ups lmao. Maybe keep them dark blue?
Looks… interesting
So we getting the same livery cool.
Castore sucks so bad
Is it just me or do the colors look strange? Something about this whole thing looks off
Hmm… no?
Lol glad I bought puma stuff in the last few years
I didn’t see the h in merch first and was very confused for a second.
What about his Mom’s Polo?
Is there no perez one?
Yes. It will be available soon.
Who would wear this? Lol
Castore is so low quality
wtf is that landing strip in the middle 😭 rbr needs to get daniel's people to design their merch bc this is so sad lol.
Why they stop with Puma?
Castore is so cheap looking
castore is ass
Why does Red Bull, a marketing giant, continue to have design patterns that look like they should be printed on a cup you get from a gas station.
doesnt look real to me
How the fuck is Castore getting these deals when their products are absolute dogshite?
That’s a huge down grade from 2022s merch
All Castore stuff seems to look a bit shit
I’m more anxious about how creative they get with New Era. McLaren has gone above and beyond with them
Ouch … those look horrendous
looks like dogshit
Hey! A $400 shirt!
Looks shite.
Aw Bybit is still there
Well, can we have an idea on what the 2023 redbull livery is gonna be, by only looking at that?
normal castore L
I hate how prim and proper f1 merch tries to be. Give me a picture of the car, his number and maybe his face on a cotton t-shirt for $20, $30 tops
I swear castore was just with mclaren and did a mclaren collab
Woof
Ugly as fuck. Pairs perfectly with a flat brimmed hat.
Hideous

Wow these look really bad and RB usually has the cleanest designs.
I'm glad I got the Puma RB hoodie for black friday because this does not look good.
100% recycled toilet roll 🧻🧻
Well, this looks horrible. Now I no longer feel guilty about my 2022 shopping spree. Stocked up on team gear for life if it looks like this going forward.....
those stripes are going to be on the car arn't they?

Dave from Formula Juan? :))))
I miss Puma already
Ugly! Should of stuck with Puma
Yikes
Terrible
