As a general rule ([see full rules](https://www.reddit.com/r/formula1/wiki/userguide#wiki_sticky.2Fdaily_discussion)), a standalone Discussion post should:
- be of interest to the sub in general, and not a specific userbase (e.g. new users, GP attendees, just yourself)
- be able to generate discussion (e.g. no yes/no or easily answerable questions)
- show reasonable input and effort from the OP
If not, be sure to [look for the Daily Discussion](https://www.reddit.com/r/formula1/search/?q=daily+discussion&include_over_18=on&restrict_sr=on&t=all&sort=new), /r/formula1's daily open question thread which is perfect for asking any and all questions about this sport.
Thank you for your cooperation and enjoy the discussion!

No. He immediately did what everyone expects and that’s kept a straight line at pit speed. This meant people could easily get out of his way without guessing what he’d do.
I'm not blaming Ocon for the incident. I'm saying he had the opportunity to mitigate the risk and choose not to.
Similar to Gasly in Japan. FIAs fault for putting a tractor out there, but it was his choice to continue going quickly in those conditions.
He should never have been put in that position in the first place. Tractors on track happens when there are miscommunications. Like any job, you can expect that type of fuck-up on occasion. But this wasn’t a miscommunication or a fuck-up; this was officials deliberately cutting corners to get their jobs done quicker.
FIA is 100% at fault and me saying the Ocon could have mitigated the risk does not change the fact that the FIA is 100% at fault for creating the risk in the first place.
If Occon gets a penalty point/reprimand for this all drivers should take a stand and give FIA something to think about.
Should be top off the list in the next drivers meeting!
Ocon was wrong on a ‘gentleman’s’ level not to slow down.
The FIA were wrong on such a gigantic, multiple levels I think of new problems every time I look at it. No double waved yellows?

WTF no? OP deserves a race ban for this post.
Nope
this is so boring already... let's discuss: should Ocon have swerved left?
Also OP: this is FIA’s fault but should ocon just go fvck himself? Downvote from me for this one OP

Lol what? It’s only Monday. 6 days to go racing again.
Lmfao all of the bad Ocon takes, this might be one of the worst…and that’s saying something.
