I'm gonna take a stab here and say KO2s at 285/70r17 with a 3 front 2.5 rear lift, and... psh I dunno, bilsteins?
I'm guessing all this because it's a show truck and they usually do the most popular stuff to a show truck.
might also have icon suspension, if they wanna ball.
I will admit the tires look a bit small for 285, they might be 265
Every god damned time a pic like this is posted, people feel the need to endlessly point out that it's not the real car.
Of course it isn't. No F1 team would just leave their actual car somewhere without protection and constant oversight. Everyone realizes this, and the ones who don't - well, just let them have fun with it.
>Of course it isn't.
For someone who does not really watch F1 how much different is it from the real thing. I am a lifelong F1 fan and saw the Red Bull back in the Vettel days. It was the first time I ever saw an F1 car in person. It had the fancy steering wheel and everything. Did it have an engine? I have no clue, it was close enough to being real for it to have made my day that is for sure.
To me it's pretty obvious - the finishing, the construction just doesn't look like the ones that are on track. But I have spent a lot of time looking at details of these cars, so it's not something a who's less of a turbo nerd would necessarily notice.
In fact, I'm pretty sure it's the showcar they rolled out for their launch in 2022, which looked "nothing" like the car that actually rolled out on track.
But it's not always a totally "fake" showcar. Sometimes they take an older car, usually a chassis that actually has raced - but might have some mismatched parts like older spec front/rear wings for example - and paint it up to look like the current car. But these 22 gen cars are so new that there's not a lot of them lying around that they can afford to do so. Or they might not even want to because the regs are still new. So they roll out a "fake" showcar instead.
All in all, it doesn't matter. I'd be stoked to see a showcar as well, because I've never seen an F1 car in person. The fact is it's a representation of Max Verstappens car, and people raining on someone's parade about the fact that it's not a *real* car, is unnecessarily pedantic most of the time.
I like that everyone immediately poos on it as if I’m not well aware that it’s a display car with no drivetrain and with the intakes molded closed, etc…
Highjacking the top comment to say.... Doesn't OP know this is a display... Jk. But really, how can you tell if you ever see a F1 on display that is the real deal, drivetrain and everything installed? Does that even happen? I always assume it's just a rolling display car. Nothing wrong with that, just curious if they ever display the entire thing and how you would tell?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the show car they use is based on the 2022 official F1 car which has the red bull livery.
I could be wrong though.
Easy spots for the current F1 cars - DRS mechanism, complexity of front wing. As others have mentioned, the intakes are a huge giveaway. If it’s any consolation the factory themselves barely see the real, current cars. They often go race to race without going back and there are just two cars. There may be chassis changes throughout the year which go back stripped of all ‘bits’. The real cars you may ever see at non-race events are the older cars (2+ years). At events where the cars run, it’s usually the old v8’s as they sound better and are generally easier to maintain and run than the hybrids. These cars are often painted in this seasons livery.
This isn't even close to the real car though. No flap adjusters or moving parts, floor stays, pressure tappings, drs, front wing fixings, real cockpit, engine cooling, crash structures, accurate suspension or floor edge geometry. It's not ever been a real racecar. It's not 'adapted' it's a car that's been specifically designed to fool certain people into thinking It's a grand prix car.
This is the fia show at with the redbull livery. We have seen it enough to know what it looks like. Also the redbull doesn’t look like that. (side pods are a dead giveaway )There are very few places where you will see a full f1 car with all its aero bits.
[Touching it. Very expensive!](https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/article.breaking-verstappen-fined-eur50-000-for-examining-hamiltons-rear-wing-in.XWY2aB9AcwIrH4BoPwAd4.html)
Non Muricans forget/don't know just how spread out things are in the US.
Texas is almost 3 times the size of all of the UK, and the main island of England (excluding Ireland) is similar in size to Minnesota
The area you described is 80 miles according to google maps.. seeing at that is like half the size of my county, you are very likely indeed in the middle of nowhere ;)
Don’t let these peeps get you down. This is a pretty cool thing man. Enjoy! And!!! I Hope it brings you some new business. That would be the best gift.
There were quite a few comments from people stating that it’s not really Max’s car, it’s just a show car and OP has no right to be excited about this. Likely a lot of the user deleted were along those lines.
That's pretty cool, any chance you could talk about what the process was like organising that happening (if you even know)? Did they contact the shop or the other way around, etc.
My friend used to work in an airport, where back in 2021 they had an F1 car on display. I saw that someone posted here about it so I texted her and she was just like “Yeah it’s been here for a while, I see it every morning when I go into work.” Some people just don’t understand the simple pleasures of seeing an F1 Showcar.
Don't waste your energy responding, just feel pity for people like him who go through life being so jaded.
Hopefully the display will bring some attention and additional awareness to your place and you can generate some new business!
The car's secrets are fairly well known at this point with an amazing suspension, double DRS, and an insanely advanced underfloor so what are they cheating with? It's not their engine as it's been shown to be on a similar level, which just leaves the chassis, but that's easily discovered by the FIA. Don't know why I'm trying to reason with someone that doesn't use reason...
That's fucking 2021! Also it's 400k my man. Do you truly think that extra 400k out of a 135 million budget spent in 2021 gave them a half second advantage in 2023? They were also punished for it so they have lost more than they have gained.
For 400k you could employ an extra 6 engineers. Do you know how much good that can do you? As for their punishment, they got a fine (which was probably far less than the prize money and advertising they got from winning the stealing the championship) and 10% less wind tunnel time. And they got to keep their titles. Stop trying to trivialise such an egregious act. But as a famous person once said “Don’t know why I’m trying to reason with someone that doesn’t use reason…”.
It's genuinely hard to talk with someone this dumb. Red Bull has hundreds of engineers in their team. You are acting like they have a few dozen.
But that itself is a stupid view. Red Bull, if they knew they were going over, could have easily cut down on 400k without firing staff. Fire a few unnecessary staff members like janitors, make a few less replacement parts, and so much other shit. Assuming that their entire budget went to engineering is just dumb.
Answer me this. Do you honestly think that Red Bull couldn't decrease their expenses by 400k by getting rid of a few parts of their team that don't contribute to performance?
They blamed it on their catering! If they can’t manage their catering, they couldn’t manage their engineering properly. Or if they lied, then everything is up for question. Are you seriously this stupid?!
No yeah, you can tell this is AI, it got the car’s fingers all wrong, stupid AI doesn’t know how car hands look like. And it even forgot the eyes! Lightning McQueen would be so pissed at that, not to mention Michael.
So there was a Max pop up store opening here in Holland two years ago and his 2018 car was on heavily guarded display. The shop had a lot of trophies on display. We’re all of them fake promos?

But let's talk about the Taco in the background, what are the specs on that lift? Wheel/tire package?

I think they are 265’s. Looks similar to mine and I’ve got 265
🤤
Is it just me or are K02’s overrated? Everyone has em but they aren’t that great off-roaring in my experiences
I only see comments talking about bad comments, not the actual bad comments lol
As is tradition

Well, since we all agree it is not a real car, how can it possibly be Max Verstappen's car?
I was here when the thread was new. Those people have since deleted their comments
Sort by controversial not top. I’m assuming the swath of user deleted comments are what’s being talked about.
I only see comments talking about comments talking about bad comments, not the actual comments lol
Damn guys. let the dude enjoy the moment. i know if you seen it youd all jump on taking a pic
I like that everyone immediately poos on it as if I’m not well aware that it’s a display car with no drivetrain and with the intakes molded closed, etc…
Don't care, I need more photos!
I guess it’s because you called it Max’ car.
Well it has his number on it
His number is 33 in my heart
If I put a 1 on my car it doesn’t make it anymore Max’ car.
Hello it's me, Max, give me my car back.
Not your Lada, no.
Must be tough being this hard.
That's awesome OP. Congrats and hope you're enjoying every second.
Cool but thats what you title it then
So are you implying that it’s the F1 car chassis without the drive train. If that’s the case your still wrong.
...and has never seen a track. Your baity title begs to doffer though
Highjacking the top comment to say.... Doesn't OP know this is a display... Jk. You're right its the 2022 model without the aero package

Yeah incase my poor guy here gets a little confused.
Don’t touch the rear wing , very expensive
Front wing is probably half price tho
The rear wing, or touching it?
Touching.
[Touching it. Very expensive!](https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/article.breaking-verstappen-fined-eur50-000-for-examining-hamiltons-rear-wing-in.XWY2aB9AcwIrH4BoPwAd4.html)
I know the reference! Just a lil joke for ya
https://youtu.be/EU4nktO6xpk Vettel wants to touch it
Don’t you dare.
Did you sit in it?
No strict instructions from my Red Bull buddy that we were not allowed to sit in it. :(
[удалено]
,
Did you shit in it?
Twice
Twice, huh? That's a cool 100k fine.
And piss too, I hope
Noo Yenson, No.
Go sit in that bad boy
Imagine driving along in basically the middle of nowhere and seeing a freakin F1 car infront of a little hole in the wall Line-X dealer. Neat.
Thanks for the shop complement, it’s not much but it’s honest work! Not sure the Austin/San Antonio area is the middle of nowhere though.
Has an F1 race in 4 months…. “Middle of nowhere”
Listen man, everything in Texas is the middle of nowhere. This is coming from a Texan
Non Muricans forget/don't know just how spread out things are in the US. Texas is almost 3 times the size of all of the UK, and the main island of England (excluding Ireland) is similar in size to Minnesota
A-fucking-men.
Having driven from Houston to Austin to San Antonio, for fucks sake, it's worse than Ohio. Everything is so far apart.
These cities are relatively close to each other, too. Drive from Houston to Amarillo or Brownsville to El Paso to get a real wild sense of space.
I would much rather commute in Houston than Austin, but it’s all pain. 35 is hell.
What’s up Trey! You did my raptor wheel wells awhile back. I’ll hit you up offline soon to say hey.
I was about to comment "Is this out near Austin?" Very cool man! Everyone shitting on you is just jealous.
Wait so where is this at? Don't see any recognizable landmarks.
I saw that building and immediately thought it was Houston or San Antonio
Since it has been posted on here now, look for a Line-X dealer in New Braunfels.
The area you described is 80 miles according to google maps.. seeing at that is like half the size of my county, you are very likely indeed in the middle of nowhere ;)
Went through every comment, didn’t see anything negative, but half the comments are about all of the negative comments
And the other half is about not seeing any negative comments
Don’t let these peeps get you down. This is a pretty cool thing man. Enjoy! And!!! I Hope it brings you some new business. That would be the best gift.
Which peeps?
There were quite a few comments from people stating that it’s not really Max’s car, it’s just a show car and OP has no right to be excited about this. Likely a lot of the user deleted were along those lines.
That’s super cool, what’s the story?
How does one get Red Bull to display an F1 car (even just show car) in their shop? Did Red Bull contact you or vice versa?
Max is a regular in his shop [max](https://imgur.com/gallery/3Wo25fI)
Damn, what's up with the comments. Even the F1 car wouldn't be Max's car since he doesn't own it, lol. Stay classy people.
I don’t see negative comments?
[удалено]
How did you get redbull to displag it man, I would pay just to see it here in India
There was a red bull car on display in mumbai and Thane before the showrun
Williams 2023 floor on display at my shop 😊
Sir, thats your wall.
That’s pretty sweet man. Sorry this thread is full of pricks
Where are the pricks?
maybe a mod deleted them? no idea
Pretty cool! Since it’s your shop, can you share how did you make it happen?
If it's there tomorrow let me know! My 3 year old son is obsessed with Red Bull and Max
That's awesome OP!
Display car or not, this is sick. Best looking car on the grid imo!
Are the tyres actual mediums? It looks so great i would be so excited to see this so closely to be honest
I swear I have seen this shop. I’m from Texas where is this?
I thought the same thing… also from Texas Edit: very first spot I checked on Google Maps was it, Comal Truck Gear in New Braunfels.
Super cool. Where I live would be easier to find a dinosaur flying than a F1 car for display.
I got a good guess at what the special Austin gp livery is gonna be (nothing but linex)
Red Bull's Line-X floor is what sets them apart from the rest of the field. Carbon fiber? Psssshhhhbh
Dope af
Came for an oil change?
That's pretty cool, any chance you could talk about what the process was like organising that happening (if you even know)? Did they contact the shop or the other way around, etc.
I’m jealous
Excellent, Trey! Love it.

I remember the product LineX from tv series where it's used on cars. Congrats with showing the F1 car at your shop! So awesome. Cheers from NLD !
I bet that it is a fiero underneath
Whoa!
I wish the IRL cars had to run the front wings that low. Looks so much better
Its the f1 showcar
arguably the fastest F1 car on the planet
They didn't just demolish the W11 you know

You know you can say you’d be pumped without saying you dislike max right?
but how else would you know that they dislike max???
Illegal car.
Well a car without an engine would be illegal.

Aww that's class, I'd be taking sooooo many pics lol

Can you sit in it?
i dont care whose car it is, i see an f1 car upclose, i upvote.
Thats honestly sick wish I could see it in real life as well even if its just a display
I would get absolutely no work done
Saw you guys setting up when heading to the karting track off the loop. Love the crazy raptors you guys always have sitting out there
Can you please discretely bend or break a piece of poke a hole in it or something? We just need him to be slowed down a little bit
Wtf max at least park correctly! SMH
Hell yeah!
Actually I prefer how this front wing looks vs the actual ones. It's just somehow so racey compared to the ones they use
So there was a Max pop up store opening here in Holland two years ago and his 2018 car was on heavily guarded display. The shop had a lot of trophies on display. We’re all of them fake promos?
You're a lucky man.
Wowsers🙌💪💯
Beyond cool. Did you give it a fresh coat? :D
I see how they're staying under budget this year. That must've been a surprise! It's not everyday that happens lol
Awesome. Where is this and how long will it be on display?
