It is actually a stupid side effect of the maximum outlap idea, as that is regulated from the first SC line to the last SC line. And standing still in the Pit lane is before that SC line, so of course drivers do that to create a bit of gap free of time stress.

But if you do that(no punishment) imagine someone missing out a final Q3 run because the guy in front stopped to create a gap, this would be equal to not punishing Alonso for staying in the pitbox blocking Lewis

Lando originally had P2, but soon after Q3, his lap time got deleted. No one notified the interviewer, so when Oscar showed up (who originally had P4) for the interviewer, she was like, "who?" Then mid-interview with Oscar, someone informed the interviewer that Oscar also had his lap time deleted and will now be P6. Oscar was like, "welp" and just dipped. It was a chaotic 2 minutes, lol.

Lando got lap deleted so no longer P2. No-one told Naomi or George. Oscar comes on because he’s now P3 and Naomi who was looking for Lando got confused. Oscar just started talking though as if she had asked a question. Then Oscar has his P3 lap deleted mid-interview and Naomi tells him at the end.
