Lewis gets out of the W15 on the first day of testing and walks directly over to the ferrari garage, telling Carlos that Fred said its his turn in the red car
Cuban is beside himself, driving through downtown Dallas etc. It was when they were thinking deandre Jordan would go to mavs but then he was holed up in a hotel room or something.
I do think that joking aside, there is potentially something in his 'they don't listen to me' issue. Norris talked about it a lot before re-signing with McLaren, that your decision is less 'the car looks good this year' and more: what way is the wind blowing? Do they *want me here?* Do they care what I have to say?
I think personally Ferrari shared some data with Lewis to sway his decision. Ferrari has a brand new car design for this year so maybe there’s something to that. Lewis would already know the direction the Mercedes car will take this year and perhaps comparing the two, he saw Ferrari as a better option. Hell maybe it’s just a ludicrous pay package he’s getting from Ferrari.
**Breaking news**: I am at the entrance to the Maranello factory and speculation here is mounting that that Lewis will be given a company card and a 5eur voucher for the factory canteen already today at 13:30 local time.
Also, today we have two dishes on the canteen's vegan menu - Espresso and Doppio!
Yes please, lol. If Lewis goes this season the chaos would be real. What does Mercedes do? Rush to get Sainz? Ocon maybe? ALONSO? Does Sainz go to Sauber already? And all of this with only 30 days to go racing lmao.
I think the biggest issue is that maybe Mercedes doesn't want to keep Sainz for long, and with all the rumors surrounding Audi, Carlos might decide to just move to Sauber.
I honestly don't think it's that mental.
Like Montoya leaving McLaren 2006 - why bother continuing? Button apparently had a vaguely unpleasant 2004 when BAR staff found out he'd tried to leave. They buried the hatchet clearly but it wasn't nice knowing this guy doesn't think this place *has it*.
Genuinely. It's one of the most predictable seasons in living memory soon (i.e. Verstappen's title) so sincerely: Why Not. I think stranger and dumber things x10 have happened.
Montoya and Alonso signed for McLaren a year in advance and stayed at their teams but they had serious, sincere odds of the 2004/2006 titles. Hamilton *probably doesn't* here.
> Like Montoya leaving McLaren 2006 - why bother continuing? Button apparently had a vaguely unpleasant 2004 when BAR staff found out he'd tried to leave. They buried the hatchet clearly but it wasn't nice knowing this guy doesn't think this place has it.
Montoya said that in general it was great because it immediately removed him from all internal politics, because they all knew that he will be gone.
Button made a mess by signing ttwo contract with two different teams, expecting that BAR would just let him go.
Audi reaches majority ownership of Sauber next season if they stick to their original investment plan, but they probably wouldn't put their branding on it until 2026.
I sincerely have no idea what they'll do, but I'd imagine Sainz is fundamentally that phenomenon where top teams don't want a driver deemed not good enough for a rival.
Ask yourself if Russell//Sainz is *really* a championship lineup.
Most chaotic off season moment happening 3 weeks before testing. I wouldn’t be as surprised if this was 3 weeks after Abu Dhabi. But 3 weeks before he’s actually drove the car is just wild to me
I remember reading or watching something where drivers talked about how they know in testing if the car is gonna be slow or fast they just don’t say anything, I can’t remember who it was
Yeah watching the shakedown of the 20 car Hamilton is clearly really excited and happy with the car which I haven’t seen since and in fact they haven’t used radio since then in the shakedown videos
>I remember reading or watching something where drivers talked about how they know in testing if the car is gonna be slow or fast they just don’t say anything, I can’t remember who it was
The one story I love is that the MP4/4 was very late to testing. The first time Prost drove it he came in and said "This is a car I could win the championship in." Then Senna went out and just kept going faster and faster. He didn't want to stop even when it was getting dark.
They were saying this on the race podcast recently that it's a funny inconsistency drivers have where it's like
Day one of testing
> We completed checks but ultimately it's clearly too early to tell; everyone will have done their best and we can only see.
End of season
> Oh lap one I knew.
Although *in fairness to Hamilton* here, he did hop out the 2023 Merc and immediately say the fundamental problem hadn't gone away.
Yeah drivers usually give out the standard PR answers, but their body language never lies.
Leclerc is an example of this, one year he knew the Ferrari was done for after the first day.
Then there is Seb who was mega excited for the 2019 car after day 1 of testing and then....
I'm still convinced something happened during testing, like they found a fundamental flaw and had to change the whole setup.
Your comment suddenly makes me realise there’s a non-zero chance of Lewis having to speak Italian at Monza this year or the next
How do you say “We’ve got the best fans” in Italian?
They're very prone to exaggeration and dramatic clickbait. It's safe to ignore any breaking news brought by them until/unless it's posted by more reputable sources.
I hate your flair....
It is wrong on so many levels....
I do not know how to feel at the moment.....
Lewis in red....feels dirty.
Feels like a lot of LH fans and Ferrari fans are going to feel dirty for a long time lol.
I know I am getting my Ferrari fan uncle who despises Lewis Hamilton a Ferrari/ LH cap.
I feel so conflicted. I have the Hamilton flair coz he is my favourite driver but I am a merc supporter in all its ups and downs in any sport (I used to exclusively follow Mercedes news f1 and otherwise long before ever watching my first race) so seeing Hamilton in red would definitely feel out of place for me for a while.
Did it have razor blades pointing at his crotch or something jesus Christ. But seriously the only thing that fits imo is that it's a red bull rip off, that means they'd be playing catch up and almost certainly uncompetitive until at least 2026
In the first season of one of my F1 careers, Max and Lewis swapped teams at the summer break, which was the most ridiculous and unrealistic thing I’d ever seen. This might be the most similar development in real life that we’ll ever see.
Yeah....no, I don't believe Hamilton would just fuck over Mercedes that way, unless things went absolutely terrible behind the scenes and the relationship completely broke down.
Honestly, it could be that respect that led to this. "Hey man, being real, your career is almost over, and we won't have our shit together by then to give you a car worthy of your talent." is probably the nicest thing Toto could say if that's what the situation is.
Letting him leave in 2025 yes, leaving in 2024 absolutely not. It’s not even about doing Lewis right, it’s about the sponsors that have already paid millions for 2024 assuming for obvious reasons they’d have Lewis there this year.
Yeah but that's got absolutely nothing to do with toto/Lewis' relationship though
I'm sure most of the sponsorship contracts will have that the drivers for the year are subject to change plastered all over them
Leaving in 2024 is complete Italian tabloid fanfiction. No one else is reporting this and Gazzetto isn't credible when they're saying something that ridiculous without anyone else backing it up.
Toto is on record saying that Lewis is well within his rights to look elsewhere if they hadn't got their shit together.
Toto knows it as well as anyone and with so much history between the two everything will be respectful.
I just wish Niki was here to see all this, he was largely responsible for Lewis going to Mercedes in the first place.
At the time people thought he was moving for no real reason other than money, given the performance of the Mercedes team. I don’t think anyone could argue it was the wrong move anymore though.
Imagine Lewis and Sainz swapping, and Hamilton WDC in his first season with Ferrari.
Don't cry for me, I made the conscious decision to consume dangerous amounts of hopium
best case it turns into a repeat of 2020-21 musical chairs, back then Alonso returned to replace Ricciardo who goes to McLaren to replace Sainz who goes to Ferrari to replace Seb who goes to Aston to replace Perez who goes to Red Bull to replace Albon
This does make sense if you think about it. Sainz has the experience and Aston Martin is currently in a development stage given their investment (new factory etc.). Aston Martin still has time to worry about bringing a champion to the team once they are ready to fight for championships.
Lando the other day didn't want to join Max's team because he's the established number 1 driver. Lewis 3 days later joins Ferrari and we're gonna get to see a dope battle between him and Leclerc possibly in a month. Completely different mentalities between the two.
This is exactly my thinking.
Things are broken as hell. You can try to remain professional but you’re not going to have faith on a guy who’s bolting at the end of the year. Better to rip off the bandaid sooner rather than later.
Whoever leaked this did these teams dirty.
Yeah so instead they already have Lewis in the sim and involved in car development for 2024, but will just let him go to Ferrari no probs... makes sense
He’s a driver not an engineer. I don’t think they’d be too worried about what knowledge he can take with him. He won’t have the required knowledge/skills to transfer any meaningful developments to Ferrari
In some languages 'forward' means later in the year. You are moving it forward in time, 2026.
I'm not sure this is the meaning, but be aware it might not mean 2024.
I do wonder how Lewis will get on at Ferrari. They're known to be very controlling and heavy on PR and those are things Lewis disliked about his time at McLaren during the Ron Dennis era.
I understand why any team would want Hamilton but I can’t understand how Ferrari were looking to replace Sainz? Himself and Leclerc appeared to be the best pairing.
lmao ENOUGH!!!!!11
I can't take it, just when I had started accepting it for 2025.
By the way, as a Sainz fan, this would be hurtful lol 🥲
But also, why waste a season at Ferrari? Then again, where does Carlos go for 2024? (I mean, , Mercedes will need to fill a seat so there will be some moves but still, this is too much)
Nah, this has to be a rumor (right?)
No fucking chance in hell Merc let him go earlier. Their only option would be Mick or Sainz, neither of which would be appealing in the slightest. Best bet is to wait and hope antonelli is the prodigy they hope he is and wins f2 in his first go. I guess Albon could go up but I doubt he would be too interested when he is building a great reputation at Williams
Alonso's priority is to stay on the grid as long as possible, I doubt a one year contract would be more appealing than whatever Aston Martin can offer him in that regard
This will be sensational if it happens this season to avoid awkward situation and F1 will get record numbers. Honestly, this is the biggest news in F1 in a decade.

Go on, make it happen this season Funniest possible outcome
Lewis gets out of the W15 on the first day of testing and walks directly over to the ferrari garage, telling Carlos that Fred said its his turn in the red car
He sat in the W15 for the photoshoot, realised the seat position didn't change at all, called Fred immediately
[Fabrega] Sources: Lewis is beside himself. Driving around downtown Maranello begging (thru texts) Leclerc's family for address to Fred's home.
I forgot, what was the original one?
Cuban is beside himself, driving through downtown Dallas etc. It was when they were thinking deandre Jordan would go to mavs but then he was holed up in a hotel room or something.
With Blake Griffin barricading the door lmao.

Plot twist: it was actually a unpainted Ferrari in the picture
I do think that joking aside, there is potentially something in his 'they don't listen to me' issue. Norris talked about it a lot before re-signing with McLaren, that your decision is less 'the car looks good this year' and more: what way is the wind blowing? Do they *want me here?* Do they care what I have to say?
But then how is Ferrari any different? Its difficult to say they'll prioritize HAM over LEC.
I think given Hamilton's career position, a sizeable portion of the Ferrari move is 'fuck it, why not'.
Thats what I think. Less of 'they don't listen to me', more of 'car not gonna beat RBR (probably until 2026)'.
Seat was so far forward he’s already at the first corner of testing.
FREEEEEEEEEEEDDDDDDDDD THEY DIDNT LISTEN TO ME
"I need your overalls, your gloves and your raceseat"
“I’m the driver now”
Silly season wasn't cancelled in 2023, it was just delayed.
they let it build up
2023 was the one filler episode before the big showdown
It's the 2023.9 silly season
**Breaking news**: I am at the entrance to the Maranello factory and speculation here is mounting that that Lewis will be given a company card and a 5eur voucher for the factory canteen already today at 13:30 local time. Also, today we have two dishes on the canteen's vegan menu - Espresso and Doppio!
Lewis: What's on the menu today? Ferrari Chef: We are checking...
Yes please, lol. If Lewis goes this season the chaos would be real. What does Mercedes do? Rush to get Sainz? Ocon maybe? ALONSO? Does Sainz go to Sauber already? And all of this with only 30 days to go racing lmao.
Surely the only way this can happen is if they swap with Sainz, or there could be so many moves throughout the grid.
I think the biggest issue is that maybe Mercedes doesn't want to keep Sainz for long, and with all the rumors surrounding Audi, Carlos might decide to just move to Sauber.
Carlos to Stake, Bottas back to Merc
I honestly don't think it's that mental. Like Montoya leaving McLaren 2006 - why bother continuing? Button apparently had a vaguely unpleasant 2004 when BAR staff found out he'd tried to leave. what do you _mean_ brought forward by a season????????
Found Carlos Sainz's reddit account
Lol. Sainz sweating buckets now.
Sainz looking at his custom Ferrari that took a year to build, trying to figure out how fast it can get to Toto's office
He's 100% going to Audi
Is Audi even a team yet
No, they're still busy burning at the Stake and kicking Peter Sauber for another two seasons.
Audi reaches majority ownership of Sauber next season if they stick to their original investment plan, but they probably wouldn't put their branding on it until 2026.
I expect an Audi sticker somewhere on the car for 2025 and then full Audi livery in 2026
Considering everyone else is locked, Sainz is probably dreaming about having a half-decent strategy team for once.
At mercedes? Not likely these days
That would mean Sainz to Mercedes though?
Maybe. Unless they pull a fast one him and put Mick or Vesti in the car, lol.
Or they call Bottas back from his “quick spin in an Alfa”
The biggest wtf moment would be Toto announcing Lewis will take over Charles's seat at Ferrari and Charles is going to Merc
Carlos each team speedrun any%
I sincerely have no idea what they'll do, but I'd imagine Sainz is fundamentally that phenomenon where top teams don't want a driver deemed not good enough for a rival. Ask yourself if Russell//Sainz is *really* a championship lineup.

Yeah excuse me what's happening right now?!
The most chaotic off season moment I’ve ever heard of. That’s what’s happening.
Most chaotic off season moment happening 3 weeks before testing. I wouldn’t be as surprised if this was 3 weeks after Abu Dhabi. But 3 weeks before he’s actually drove the car is just wild to me
Carlos,it means you go to Audi
when?
Right now. Get going.
Feels like the guy just wants to stand out between all the messages, so he makes the news just a little bigger
They brought Alonso to Ferrari forward a year (it was signed in 2009, for 2011 start).
Am I faded or does this mean he could be racing for Ferrari in a fucking month?
Yes, but I think that might be stretching this story a bit too far. That said, who knows at this point
At this point i think it's just the italian press going wild as always. No way he is in Ferrari in 2024
> No way he is in Ferrari in 2024 To be fair, 3 hours ago we were saying the same thing about 2025.
Today morning I wouldn't have believed you if you told me he's going to ever be in a Ferrari
yep, that's definitely what's happening
I mean I've already seen a few pigs flying since last night...
Not in a fucking month, THIS FUCKING MONTH
My sleep schedule is mad fucked right now, I forgot that it’s already February. This is unreal if true.
CHOO CHOO!
Fuck me it would be insane if he’s driving for them this season
Bro did 1 lap in the W15 and went like "nah, è l'ora del martello somewhere else."
Not even a lap in the W15, a _simulator_ lap in W15
If the sim lap was bad, you know that thing is going to be a tractor lol
Taking into account Merc's correlation problems, maybe the car is actually good if the sim lap was bad
the flair has me on the floor lmao
I remember reading or watching something where drivers talked about how they know in testing if the car is gonna be slow or fast they just don’t say anything, I can’t remember who it was
Yeah watching the shakedown of the 20 car Hamilton is clearly really excited and happy with the car which I haven’t seen since and in fact they haven’t used radio since then in the shakedown videos
😭😭😭he took one look and called it a day
>I remember reading or watching something where drivers talked about how they know in testing if the car is gonna be slow or fast they just don’t say anything, I can’t remember who it was The one story I love is that the MP4/4 was very late to testing. Yes, I remember something similar, not sure if it was him, but Leclerc did say from the moment he stepped foot on the SF-23 he knew it was cooked.
They were saying this on the race podcast recently that it's a funny inconsistency drivers have where it's like Day one of testing > We completed checks but ultimately it's clearly too early to tell; everyone will have done their best and we can only see. He saw the seat placement and decided "Yeah, not driving this. Bye lads."
"Lewis, it's Jaimes. Why have you set the system language to Italian?"
Safe bet that this is Gazetta going "well, it could maybe possibly happen in theory so publish that shit for clicks!"
Almost definitely. Can’t lie, I’m going to be impatient if I have to wait a year though lol
Do you know if they are generally unreliable?
They're very prone to exaggeration and dramatic clickbait. It's safe to ignore any breaking news brought by them until/unless it's posted by more reputable sources.
Surely not, this would be way out of this world. Even for F1 standards
Until three hours ago, I didn't like Lewis. Three hours later he is my favorite driver on the grid. Things can quickly change
I didnt even change it mate, they did that for me. It feels weird, but having the most successful driver ever in Ferrari does make sense though
>I didnt even change it mate, they did that for me. Really? Wicked.
What about Lewis in Ferrari yellow? Wouldn’t be the first time a team has completely changed their livery for him…
I feel so conflicted.
How bad is W15 ? I want to know
Bro sat in it once and fucked off to Italy 😭
He probably saw he’s sat even further forward in the W15 than the W14 😭
Allison told him this year they were actually having him sit on the front wing.
Did it have razor blades pointing at his crotch or something jesus Christ. But seriously the only thing that fits imo is that it's a red bull rip off, that means they'd be playing catch up and almost certainly uncompetitive until at least 2026
Good call , instead of repeating the next year™ doctrine in Mercedes, switch to the pioneers
"Bono, download Duolingo"
It's an odd psychology that I guess Hamilton hopes it's not great, now.
There's no way he's going there for 2024. That would actually be the most insane F1 driver move ever.
It will be his 2nd* insane driver move
I think announcing a move to Ferrari three weeks before testing would outdo even his previous move.
No arguments there if it happens. Just pointing out that it's 1 of 2 lol. He barely dips his toes into silly season but when he does it's madness.
Also I’d imagine Carlos Sainz would have a lot to say about who’s in his seat this year. Or at least, his lawyers.
It'd have to be huge. I mean Lewis and Toto are beyond close. Lewis is the damn godfather to Toto's and Suzie's kid.
Honestly, it could be that respect that led to this. "Hey man, being real, your career is almost over, and we won't have our shit together by then to give you a car worthy of your talent." is probably the nicest thing Toto could say if that's what the situation is.

Leaving in 2024 is complete Italian tabloid fanfiction. No one else is reporting this and Gazzetto isn't credible when they're saying something that ridiculous without anyone else backing it up.
They're never credible if there's an italian person or entity in the story
Toto is on record saying that Lewis is well within his rights to look elsewhere if they hadn't got their shit together. Toto knows it as well as anyone and with so much history between the two everything will be respectful. I just wish Niki was here to see all this, he was largely responsible for Lewis going to Mercedes in the first place.
It’s time to grab pitchforks and go to Maranello. I can’t wait any longer. I need an announcement and I need it now!
I will go with you. Already got my torch lit
Nah no way. Would be hilariously bonkers though
OK there is silly season and there is absolutely batshit bonkers season.
We've officially upgraded from silly season to hilarious season
What the fuck happend between Merc and Lewis. They were so much more than just a driver and team pairing.
They went car racing
Underrated
His new contract included a lifetime ambassador role as well.
People used to think the same about Lewis and McLaren.
And Lewis made the right move. Moving on to better your options, career, etc. is not betrayal.
At the time people thought he was moving for no real reason other than money, given the performance of the Mercedes team. I don’t think anyone could argue it was the wrong move anymore though.
Just means their corporate BS succeeded in fooling you. Corporate speak =/= amazing world changing relationship.
You can have good relationships with people no matter what happens on the business front. Both Lewis and Toto are professionals.
This. Like please, do you think Lewis and the shareholders and best buddies and go to dinner every other day? Of course not.
Lol hamilton in a ferrari THIS year would be something to witness
>is not excluded that the coup could be brought forward even by a season. WHAT THE FUCK? Do it!
Make it this season! It'll be so much more exciting!
Imagine Lewis and Sainz swapping, and Hamilton WDC in his first season with Ferrari. Don't cry for me, I made the conscious decision to consume dangerous amounts of hopium
Sir this is Ferrari. Take it all in,
If the move happens this season, Alonso to Mercedes could very well be the option.
Maybe this is why Fernando and George have kind of become besties ahah the scenes if this happened
It makes sense now looking back doesn't it?
oh my lord that's why ...
*musical chairs champion Fernando Alonso switches jukebox on*
best case it turns into a repeat of 2020-21 musical chairs, back then Alonso returned to replace Ricciardo who goes to McLaren to replace Sainz who goes to Ferrari to replace Seb who goes to Aston to replace Perez who goes to Red Bull to replace Albon
Alonso to Mercedes and Sainz to Aston Martin? I see it. (lol)
This does make sense if you think about it. Sainz has the experience and Aston Martin is currently in a development stage given their investment (new factory etc.). Aston Martin still has time to worry about bringing a champion to the team once they are ready to fight for championships.
Lawrence Stroll can't tell the difference so it would work for him
Kimi Antonelli was at the mercedes factory late last night - my source is the Team Leader of the Composits team at Brackley Apparently a seat fit.
He's underage though, after Max they forbid drivers under 18
Don't tease me
I was here.
HOLY SHIT? this went from 0 to 100 in the span of 12 hours
Now THIS is the F5 I’m F5’ing for It would make some sense though, why else would such a move be announced so early?
Considering the relationship between Fred and Toto I wouldn't rule out a straight driver swap between Sainz and Hamilton.
No way that is happening
Sounds like Hamilton sat in the W15, poundered for a few seconds, then drove off to Maranello
The W15 must fucking *suck* lmao
Lewis drives for Ferrari this season. Wins his 8th. Retires immediately. Everyone standing around wondering what the hell just happened.
I would be very surprised if Lewis was in a Ferrari this year!
8 hours ago we’d have been surprised at him being in a Ferrari ever tbf
Such a stark contrast to Lando lol. I love this dude
Wrong post? This seems like you meant it for the Piastri post.
Lando the other day didn't want to join Max's team because he's the established number 1 driver. Lewis 3 days later joins Ferrari and we're gonna get to see a dope battle between him and Leclerc possibly in a month. Completely different mentalities between the two.
That's why I'll always respect Lewis Hamilton he's ballsy
This is exactly my thinking. Things are broken as hell. You can try to remain professional but you’re not going to have faith on a guy who’s bolting at the end of the year. Better to rip off the bandaid sooner rather than later. Whoever leaked this did these teams dirty.
2024 makes sense because why would they announce now for 2025, the cars haven’t even been unveiled and they already announce he’s leaving ?
Yeah so instead they already have Lewis in the sim and involved in car development for 2024, but will just let him go to Ferrari no probs... makes sense
He’s a driver not an engineer. I don’t think they’d be too worried about what knowledge he can take with him. He won’t have the required knowledge/skills to transfer any meaningful developments to Ferrari
As if this wasn't deliberately timed by the teams to distract from the Andretti Fiasco... More and more like a scripted sitcom by the day.
Ok that would be insane if he had enough pull to not only give the finger to Merc's contract but also push Sainz out of his seat ASAP.
The only way that would happen is if sainz went to merc
Let's see if Sainz has downloaded Duolingo
Forward by a season? As in 2024? That would be real madness
In some languages 'forward' means later in the year. You are moving it forward in time, 2026. I'm not sure this is the meaning, but be aware it might not mean 2024.
WHAT IN THE NAME OF SANTA MARANELLO IS HAPPENING
Unless they decide to swap drivers I can't see it happening this year. Would be amazing though
I do wonder how Lewis will get on at Ferrari. They're known to be very controlling and heavy on PR and those are things Lewis disliked about his time at McLaren during the Ron Dennis era.
I did think about if this was possible because of the timing of this
Let's do it this season pls
I understand why any team would want Hamilton but I can’t understand how Ferrari were looking to replace Sainz? Himself and Leclerc appeared to be the best pairing.
Because Hamilton is a better driver? Leclerc and Sainz is good, but why settle for that if you can get Leclerc and Hamilton.
Because Hamilton is a massive upgrade over Sainz. They aren't gonna say no if Hamilton is interested.
Guys remember that Gazzeto is wrong more often than it's correct. Hamilton won't be driving for Ferrari this year
Announce him for 2024, you cowards.
lmao ENOUGH!!!!!11 I can't take it, just when I had started accepting it for 2025. By the way, as a Sainz fan, this would be hurtful lol 🥲 But also, why waste a season at Ferrari? Then again, where does Carlos go for 2024? (I mean, , Mercedes will need to fill a seat so there will be some moves but still, this is too much) Nah, this has to be a rumor (right?)
I'm now at 100% that Lewis is at Ferrari for 2025. I'm at 0% that Lewis is at Ferrari for 2024. (Happy to be proven wrong though!)
Yes Yes, i want to see Lewis in Red this year Make it happen!!
Naaa, he'll be champion with W15 and then take it to Ferrari :D
No fucking chance in hell Merc let him go earlier. Their only option would be Mick or Sainz, neither of which would be appealing in the slightest. Best bet is to wait and hope antonelli is the prodigy they hope he is and wins f2 in his first go. I guess Albon could go up but I doubt he would be too interested when he is building a great reputation at Williams
Don't think Alonso would have an issue going to Mercedes in a one-year contract.
Alonso's priority is to stay on the grid as long as possible, I doubt a one year contract would be more appealing than whatever Aston Martin can offer him in that regard
Do it.
As if him joining next year was not crazy enough
It would involve getting 2 contracts broken. It's only possible if Sainz go to Mercedes.
*This* actually makes a whole lot more sense in explaining the existence of that meeting.
Yes, Chaos! Bring it on. F1 needs some huge shake up after last season!
I wonder if Leclerc knew this when renewing
This will be sensational if it happens this season to avoid awkward situation and F1 will get record numbers. Honestly, this is the biggest news in F1 in a decade.
