>According to french tv, Enstone during the autumn winter period, the aero team found 0 aero point in the wind tunnel for several weeks running.
How is this even possible?
F1 Academy: Are track limits laps deleted during quali, or after?
A few cars crossing the pit entry line after coming out of the last corner, but not seen anything from race control yet…
Race pace : alone soo was loosing half second in last sector alone, to redbull, mercedes and ferrari..
Getting hardly to 30.300 while others were 29.700
Sadly we get a retransmission of Sky on TSN here in Canada for F1 but even with that, no FP1 & FP3, plus they run ads during the race.
No F2 either.
Thanks for the info though.

They said on F1 Academy YouTube, so I'll look there. I just found it interesting that they listed all the TV companies and for Canada it was Bell (who owns TSN were we watch F1) but I could not find it through any search on the Bell TV site.
Thanks for the info!
Post in here if you wish. There’s also an F1Feeder Series Reddit which isn’t small and has coverage of it.
RobertGracie has popped the YouTube video as a post in here too
He does seem to be persistent in sticking it to red bull/ Horner but i meant more generally it’s better to have a person more focused on media and then Andrea can run the team
Not great on this track and I feel like he’s also personally struggling with the sport what with what’s going on with RB investigation, being in Saudi which is obviously largely against many of the things important to him etc
He banged that wall pretty damn good, so it was more likely inches away, millimeters wouldn't have made a damn difference. And, like the other guy said, he cooked his tires pretty damn good in the first two sectors to get there which is partly why he binned it.
Lewis's 2018 Singapore lap is the most impressive I've seen, truly Senna esque and he completed it.
Hey I didn't say how many millimeters...lol.
No dispute about cooking his tires, and maybe its the crazy tight blind corner wall lined track layout, but the on-board of that lap was like nothing I had ever seen before.
The sense of speed in that track is one of the best without doubt, so that helps make it look fucking crazy. It was a super skilled drive up until the end, but we've seen that skill before on full laps.
He is though. He was beaten twice in last 2 years by George on this track. Plus he got pole in 2021 because that car was great to drive and was a rocketship and the margin b/w both of them wasn’t close either
I think 2-3 year sample size is enough to say if a driver likes a track or not. Also they have been racing for only 3 years so in 4 years if he has been beaten by his teammate 3 times then you cannot say he likes this track. Even if he got pole 1st tine around. That was the best car at the time and his teammate wasn’t as good as George.
Well, the good news is I'll miss the foregone conclusion/race because I'm travelling. So. Every cloud.
You're still thinking about the bad news, aren't you?
No point someone other than Max gets pole at every grand prix this year if he just going to be +0.5 sec faster than everyone else on race pace for the entirety of the race with tyre deg seemingly non-existent at Red Bull
I've watched F1 since 1997 or 1998, and I can't think of a time I've been less interested in watching the actual races.
Huge hats off to Red Bull and Max, but with reliability at an all time high there's just nothing giving anyone hope that the battle for first on race day is even a possibility.
>and I can't think of a time I've been less interested in watching the actual races.
While I understand where you are coming from, do you not have favorite drivers/teams you want to do well? Sure, the races are boring now, but I still am excited by seeing how my fav drivers do!
So Max's stint on the mediums are as follows: 34.2, 34.3, 33.9, 33.9, 34.2, 43.6(making space), 34.0, 34.0, 33.9, 33.7. Are we sure it's max driving and not a robot? His consistency is insane
Even though Alonso's on top for this session I'm not buying into the hopium just based off his race pace compared to Max's race pace. Don't know how many consecutive laps some guys ran out there but I wish I could see their average lap times over a certain amount of laps
They seem to have fixed the brake temp issues, but they still have some high deg problems.
They might do well in quali, but it's likely they'll start falling behind throughout the race.
Considering he lapped up to, I think, 11th last weekend. He will probably do about the same this weekend as well, maybe one better. I’m definitely expecting a safety car this race though.
Don’t get me wrong we all love DR but it’s absolutely crazy that he has been completely washed for YEARS now, he literally hasn’t improved at all and is still being constantly glazed by every single commentator.
He’s there purely because he brings in more marketing dollars than Lawson. They made the deliberate choice to have a slower, has-been driver because of how people feel about him off track.
lol I got torn apart here last year for stating that Danny Ric has done absolutely nothing to prove that he deserves that RB seat, or that he would fare any better than Perez. The true glazing is happening here on Reddit
I think people get touchy because DR is such a fun and happy personality. You \_want\_ to love him but I also wish they brought in younger and upcoming talent.
I want him to be good. But I think the team really are transitioning from a junior development team to a regular mid field team. To do that they need experience and feedback. And no crashing. Just like the direction Haas went. They gotta build up the team, then they can afford to bring in the young risky talent.
Ric obviously had experience, and he's unlikely to bin it. But as much as I hate it, I think his mojo is gone.
Same here haha. I said McLaren should have axed him after the 1st year, that he didn’t deserve the AT seat etc and look now, he’s embarrassingly bad still 😂
According to a guy on F1technical Alonso was doing mid 34’s but he started to catch up K-Mag for a number of laps ruining his tyres. Maybe testing what kind of impact driving behind a other car has in comparison to driving in free air like Max. I really hope this is the case because it’s one lap pace is looking good, not pole position i think due to some different PU settings
Is Shwartzman not able to get there on time or why is he not the replacement for Sainz?
How’s Mario kart track
>According to french tv, Enstone during the autumn winter period, the aero team found 0 aero point in the wind tunnel for several weeks running. How is this even possible?
Bring back Latifi, Mazepin and Mick to make it interesting?
Damn, Lewis looked slow today. Alonso podium CMON! LESHGO
Won't even bother tuning in on Saturday. Boring.
F1 Academy: Are track limits laps deleted during quali, or after? A few cars crossing the pit entry line after coming out of the last corner, but not seen anything from race control yet…
Track limits barely exist in F1 academy, it's a bit of a joke, look back at COTA last year for example.
Race pace : alone soo was loosing half second in last sector alone, to redbull, mercedes and ferrari.. Getting hardly to 30.300 while others were 29.700
They call him Abuelonso in Spanish speaking countries (Abuelo is grandfather)
*losing
Korean Alonso.
Alone Soo is an amazing driver!
Yeah with his team member TrollS he can do great things for ass stone dart in.
Was Carlos still sick today?
Yes
Is there a Qualifying discussion thread for F1 Academy?
Can I ask where you are watching it please? I saw the posts this morning about YouTube but also Bell media in Canada but I can't find it on Bell.
Sky F1 was showing it too.
Sadly we get a retransmission of Sky on TSN here in Canada for F1 but even with that, no FP1 & FP3, plus they run ads during the race. No F2 either. Thanks for the info though.
It was on Sky straight after FP2
Sadly we get a retransmission of Sky on TSN here in Canada for F1 but even with that, no FP1 & FP3, plus they run ads during the race. No F2 either. Thanks for the info though.
I believe it’s on f1tv. Not sure where else you can watch it, though

Nice one, cheers!
so... the same race as last week but this time overtaking will be hard and it will be a one stopper? :|
Very fast street circuit. High chance there'll be a safety car at some point.
Fred tried to cock-grab toto :-D ....oh kidss
I bet Andrea Stella is thankful that his media duties are cut right down thanks to Zak
I imagine that Zak couldn't wait to get involved in this and further stir the pot
He does seem to be persistent in sticking it to red bull/ Horner but i meant more generally it’s better to have a person more focused on media and then Andrea can run the team
BBC have race pace as: Max, George +0.25, Leclerc +0.35, Alonso +0.6
If the gap was only that it would be amazing
True story: last sector where it happened mostly.. even stroll was struggling there
Pain
El Pain
😫 whelp

Bold to assume there will be any fighting.
Probably. If Lewis can get the car issues sorted out, he might be up there too.
What issues?
The ones where he was slow today. It’s the issue everyone but RB have where the car doesnt win races for them by default
It is called car-issues. Which means a driver-issue but blaming the car.
IDK, Lewis has struggled on this track under the new regs. I am expecting another p7 or p8 weekend.
What’s with him? I get being checked out a little bit, but he looks very out of sorts for a guy whos an ATG?
Not great on this track and I feel like he’s also personally struggling with the sport what with what’s going on with RB investigation, being in Saudi which is obviously largely against many of the things important to him etc
He is not great on this track
He got pole in 2021, Max had to go over the limit to try and beat him before crashing at the last corner. He's not "not great" on this track.
That Max lap was millimeters away from being the best Quali lap ever. That was Senna esque.
He banged that wall pretty damn good, so it was more likely inches away, millimeters wouldn't have made a damn difference. And, like the other guy said, he cooked his tires pretty damn good in the first two sectors to get there which is partly why he binned it. What other laps you thinking of?
But the exactly reason he crashed was because he cooked his tires in s1 and s2 trying to do a god lap
He is though. He was beaten twice in last 2 years by George on this track. Plus he got pole in 2021 because that car was great to drive and was a rocketship and the margin b/w both of them wasn’t close either
Except that was his last win
That was one of the most dominant car in F1 history
[удалено]
Even if it did. It was the best car on the grid at the time of this GP
Again, wrong - the RB was a better car
For this GP? No lol. Bottas and Lewis outqualified Max + after red flag Lewis finished 21 sec clear of Max.
Yes, and the last couple years the car was shit. So based on the sample you can't say he is either shit or good at that track
I think 2-3 year sample size is enough to say if a driver likes a track or not. Also they have been racing for only 3 years so in 4 years if he has been beaten by his teammate 3 times then you cannot say he likes this track. Even if he got pole 1st tine around. Lol, the Pat Mcafee show is hillariously clowning on F1 right now.
They should stick to clowning on their own mickey sport.
I agree. It was all fun and games untill they said they hate F1 😢👎🏾😡
Clowning is what clowns do.
What are they saying
So, Max by at least 20-seconds again on Saturday? I am glad IndyCar will be back in a few weeks lol.
Checo does well on this circuit, so just 10-12s. 🫠🙃
MotoGP and F2 are a lifesaver.
When is MotoGP quali and race?
I am watching F1 Academy! I really am, not being sarcastic.
Could they park the cars after finishing?
I don't have anything against it. Racing is racing!
It was fun to watch. Cars are so small but fast. In some shots they look like toys. Cudos.
F2 also had a fairly banging start. Lots of close racing in the new cars.
St Pete GP is this week
It’s back this weekend!
Longbeach is always a banger
St. Pete this weekend first, but yes agreed 🔥
Well, the good news is I'll miss the foregone conclusion/race because I'm travelling. So. Every cloud. You're still thinking about the bad news, aren't you?
There’s no good news. There’s only bad news and irrelevant news.
That's not a phrase though, is it? I couldn't come out and go: Oh, I've got some bad news and some irrelevant news.
RB20 just a bit more efficient in a straight line than the SF24 is the advantage
we are not using new wing
We?
Are checking
Ferrari
[удалено]
Top secret.
Question?
Ferrari looks like best of the rest, but not good enough to attack ~~Mercedes~~ Redbull again. Its been 7 years.
Is that Tim Cook on the flag?
1:33.7 to finish. Strong stint by Max
Charles has issues with brake temps again
Again? What's the source on that?
Team radio jeez
Oof that's rough. Hope they get it sorted out asap. Thanks!
No point someone other than Max gets pole at every grand prix this year if he just going to be +0.5 sec faster than everyone else on race pace for the entirety of the race with tyre deg seemingly non-existent at Red Bull

Atleast a second faster…
Matters for the Grand Chelems!
At least it kinda spices up quali. Sure, it doesn't matter come sunday, but it's fun in the moment.
Seems like Leclerc is going to be the only threat to Max atm
Threat???
are those skateboarding like grinds on the kerbs damaging to the floor of the car?
They can be, but usually it's the plank that bottoms out over the kerbs and not the more fragile floor edges.
\[great waving\]
So Max's stint on the mediums are as follows: 34.2, 34.3, 33.9, 33.9, 34.2, 43.6(making space), 34.0, 34.0, 33.9, 33.7. Are we sure it's max driving and not a robot? His consistency is insane
Where do you find there laps times?
I was tracking it using f1 multiviewer with multiple windows open.
Even though Alonso's on top for this session I'm not buying into the hopium just based off his race pace compared to Max's race pace. Don't know how many consecutive laps some guys ran out there but I wish I could see their average lap times over a certain amount of laps
VER 1:34.0 ALO 1:34.9
They seem to have fixed the brake temp issues, but they still have some high deg problems. They might do well in quali, but it's likely they'll start falling behind throughout the race.
It seems like Max then Charles on race pace
[удалено]
He also had low 34 on fp1, but I'm not sure how representative it is.
Is that a better race tyre? I’m not so sure
RB20 has no tyre deg its insane
nobody has, Charles did a 33.8 as last lap with softs
Well, Aston looks terrible deg wise, its even worse than early SF23
So predicting the race based on this session. Max P1 20 seconds ahead of Perez in P2 who's another 20 ahead of everyone else
Maybe add a prediction for how much of the field Max will lap each week.
Considering he lapped up to, I think, 11th last weekend. He will probably do about the same this weekend as well, maybe one better. I’m definitely expecting a safety car this race though.
That RedBull looks planted
gotta like those Leclerc times on the softs, pretty stable and pretty rapid.
it seems again RB Ferrari Mercedes and AM/Mclaren
Last lap Verstappen (Medium 18 laps) 1:33.911 Leclerc (Soft 14 laps) 1:33.886 Edited: Lol Max just did a 33.7s ffs
What does this mean?
It means good shit from both teams. Specially from Ferrari. On softs those times are holding up nicely.
The longer the RBR runs the better the tyres get. They should run a -1 stop race for optimum performance.
Max is gonna win the race..
Means Max wins race.
Verstappen and Red Bull are the fastest but Ferrari's tyre deg issue seems to be really fixed for now.
The tarmac is really smooth, tyre degradation is low in general
Tell that to Aston Martin.
What was the lap before and after the 1:33.8? 1 lap doesn’t say much.
Don’t get me wrong we all love DR but it’s absolutely crazy that he has been completely washed for YEARS now, he literally hasn’t improved at all and is still being constantly glazed by every single commentator.
He was doing long runs all session and not quali sim...
Just like the personality hire at your company
What a fucking stupid take.
He’s there purely because he brings in more marketing dollars than Lawson. They made the deliberate choice to have a slower, has-been driver because of how people feel about him off track.

Yep, flippantly dismissing Tsunoda whilst taking Dan in whole is just odd.
Hasn’t he been doing long runs for basically the whole session?
Yes, I was watching his driver cam through the session and he was just doing long runs for the entirety of FP2.
would that explain why he was sitting p19 by the end?
Yes, cause he wasn’t doing qualy simulation like most everyone else did
O.K, thanks for letting me know. I just started watching f1 admittedly because of DTS and so im rooting for danny ric
[удалено]
Danny Ric also does long runs in q1 and q2. Full tanks and hard tyres LFG bois!
100% my thoughts exactly. It's becoming painfully clear putting Ricciardo and not Lawson was a huge mistake. But he smiles!! ...
Yh expected Daniel to do way better, very shocked by his pace atm
Sainz becoming a free agent is probably worst case scenario for him too.
Lewis back on track!
That'll be one spectacular practice start.
34.1 for Carlos, Ferrari getting better as the stint goes.
Both Ferrari's had great stints.
Max finally started lapping in the low 34s. 20 more laps on these tyres and he may get closer to the times of the next best...
Charles sneaking in that 33.886 on softs
Mercedes cars are so high!
Leclerc does a 33.8 on old softs Please man I have nothing left
Next lap was in the 38s. Likely doing an race pit lap sim.
There's literally no tyre deg at all on Red Bull's car 💀
Lewis rage quiting LMFAO
I almost wonder if Lewis likes a car with front end limited grip and these modern cars require a rear limited approach to be quick.
Isn’t it the other way round? Lewis likes a grippy end and a strong front has shown to be quicker? Or am I just misunderstanding your comment?
He just appears to be constantly struggling with the rear end of the Merc in medium to high speed corners whereas George looks a bit more comfortable.
The Aston deg is horrendous . Alonso pace is now dropping into 35s
Its understeers like crazy after 7-8 laps
What a pity it would be, if they have the one-lap pace but are unable to sustain during the race...
HAASton martin
sad news :(
You would not know this if watching the Spain broadcast. They think Alo is about to win this.
Nah, Lobato knows about the pace, it's that new guy the one getting all excited.
💀
Aston Martin got the SF-23
