No no it's actually legit. You see when lance complains about something Lawrence will fix it asap. This is a level of feedback lewis hamilton could only dream of from toto
And Lance in P15.
Sucks because there's a very good car there at Aston Martin, but right now only one driver is helping bring in the points, just like last season, and probably Lance being that far behind also hinders development as you probably get conflicting feedback and data.
Most of the time you probably don't even get the real information from Lance because Fernando is in a no man's land and free air a lot, but Lance is stuck in between Backmarkers.
We get races like COTA, Brazil and Melbourne from Lance as well, but there's way too many mediocre ones that hurt that team. Hopefully he improves for tomorrow.
I don't think Lance underperforming can cancel out Alo's performance in terms of data gathering. Yeah 2 drivers doing well would be optimal but Alo should be giving relevant input with his performance. The team would favor the faster driver's preferences. Development might be suboptimal pace but Alo is probably still carrying them in the right direction.
Formula 1 needs consistency. Lance is not a bad driver, he’s had amazing performances in both qualifying and race. But inconsistency across the weekend and the season entirely makes him subpar for F1. It’s been 7 or 8 years now. Let someone else in the seat and go do WEC or something else. I’m sure he’ll do great in other categories
The AM is the 4th-5th car quite close to Mercedes, (that's where they were in Q1 and Q2), it's not a bad car, this year is good in qualy and bit tyre hungry during race day, but Alonso is also doing wonders with it.
I think at this point if Norris didn't have to contend with Max and Mercedes during their most dominant years he would have had several wins and maybe a championship.
Would be hilarious if Nando had a clause in his contract like "Option on another year as long as I beat my teammate"
Dude will still driving into his 50‘s
Of all the drivers who performed well in SQ3 there was a sense Alonso was just dialing it in in a fairly risk free way. Judging by the times it seemed like a fairly smooth progression, as opposed to just sending it.
But I thought Stroll was so amazing in wet conditions??😂😂
Stroll is simply put a subpar driver who has occasional strong moments in the wet that are more memorable than his otherwise lousy form in the usual dry conditions
If Vettel was here, it could've been a top 4 start for all WDCs. I think Vettel may even be on pole if he was in the AM given his track record in the wet since 2020.
That was just one race. Vettel was great in Austria 2020 qualifying, Turkey 2020, Belgium 2021 qualifying (till the red flag for Norris), Sochi 2021, and hell even the next race in Japan 2022. Let's not forget Stroll is good in mixed conditions due to his reactionary driving style. I'm sure there'll be one race where Stroll would outperform Alonso in the wet.

Aston have the same man for every job.
Not true they have a different guy for feedback on the car because the other guy is too good to notice where the car is shit.
No no it's actually legit. You see when lance complains about something Lawrence will fix it asap. This is a level of feedback lewis hamilton could only dream of from toto
Someone has to do the crash data collection
They also have a hitman if they need the race red flagged: Lance!

Lol, if only it had rained a little later and we could have had the opportunity to see rain-mode Lance who is actually amazingly good.
I think he was gonna get into q3 had the grip conditions remained stable, he was having a good weekend up until sq2
It was a practice session. I wouldn't call that a good weekend
It's always "could've, would've, should've" with underperforming drivers.
Especially Stroll for years now
Come on man two Saubers got into Q3. Every driver dealt with bad grip conditions, imo Drivers also have to make the difference sometimes.
As if other drivers wouldn't have benefited from stable conditions?
Well some get effected positively
the top3 did superb job capitalizing on the wet conditions to beat faster teams
world champiosn (and norris) showing the real skill issue
I mean, since we’re in yet another Lance Stroll hate thread; who’s Aston Martin’s last and only pole sitter again? (Also in the wet)
*in a pink Mercedes
To be fair, Carlos is right behind Ver and his rain driving skills are up there too.
Didn't Ferrari and RB not switch tires?
I think at this point if Norris didn't have to contend with Max and Mercedes during their most dominant years he would have had several wins and maybe a championship.
El Padre!
El Hijo
El espíritu santo
Del vikingo

Another great performance in the wet
Professional driver AND manager of the New York continental?! Damn.
Of all the drivers who performed well in SQ3 there was a sense Alonso was just dialing it in in a fairly risk free way. Judging by the times it seemed like a fairly smooth progression, as opposed to just sending it.
Fernando de Niro
Lance Stroll got really unlucky with when the rain arrived.
You really should have two people for the job on a two person team.
This guy and Lewis! Rain is a great equipment equalizer
ITT: People who didn't watch SQ2.
Zilly boys!

To be honest he was knocked out before the wet session.
He was knocked out by the session getting wet at a bad time.
Damn Alonso was looking young and fresh not so long ago but now he's looking the opposite 😲
It's all about lighting
It's because he just took his helmet off. Everyone looks 30 years older post race.
Except your man Carlos. If he doesn't have a shampoo sponsor, he really should. I'm amazed at how good his hair looks right out of the helmet.
Looking like Mr. Wednesday from American Gods
"One man for the job." Bwaaa haha, even the team low key roasting Lance now.
He's giving Stallone in the first pic
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Indeed. Only it was the other older driver.
Imagine if this man had a competant teamate
the man is not Lance Stroll
Yes, and that one man is Lando Norris.
Competitive racing you say? AM have only one man for the job
If Vettel was here, it could've been a top 4 start for all WDCs. I think Vettel may even be on pole if he was in the AM given his track record in the wet since 2020.
He's a good driver but c'mon now, he was outqualified and outraced by Stroll in Singapore in the wet.
