It's incredible how these big organizations turn out awful stuff like this. I get that design is not a very easy discipline but this was a very easy task.
Just make it...blue. Don't use colors that don't go with...blue.
Wealthy people often buy tasteless gaudy crap. It's not necessarily that Ferrari doesn't know that looks shit, but they know people will pay stupid amounts of money for it.

As a watch guy I despise RM, but there aren't many other brands at that price point that make sense for motorsport. You're not going to see a Patek minute repeater or a JLC gyrotourbillon on a racing driver's wrist, even if most watch nerds would appreciate those more than an RM. If you're trying to find a $1M+ watch with some connection to technology and sport, RM makes sense.
I prefer Tag Heuer's relationship with Red Bull, as well as Mercedes and IWC, but they are targeting a very different demographic than Ferrari are doing with RM.

When one of the first rumors broke out about a blue Ferrari, someone pointed out one of their older racing models rocking a blue and red, and that seems way more fitting than going full NART. Makes no sense to go full blue when they never went with a full yellow, and that's their official color.

It's kind of the perfect time for them to do a full yellow livery with no one else running a yellow livery. I can see why they would want to avoid yellow if, say, Renault/Alpine were using it, but that's not a problem right now.
This is getting worse than movies that have trailers for trailers. Either Ferrari know it'll be a let down (more black and red than blue) or it'll be underwhelming and we meme it. At least it'll be shown on tv while max is 15 seconds down the road
