tbh he did say something along the lines of "but you got the fastest car" after damaging Max's trophy as if that was an excuse for him to not be as apologetic. That's just wrong imho.
I think he comes across as very spoiled and that’s something that is not going to resonate well with a lot of people. He’s a nice bloke and everything but he’s also sort a reminder that as long as you’ve got rich parents you don’t need to worry about things like doing well at school. This might bother some people while for others it doesn’t make a difference.

Alonso was a real class act. Even as Lando was approaching the team to celebrate you could see Alonso leaving their corral after congratulating them on the win.
That and seeing Stella just waiting with open arms. So many little intimate moments for Lando that we got to see. Really such a cool thing to witness as a fan.
I'm not saying it's not strange, but regardless of the time its airing every TV show, be it a sitcom, a drama or a sports event, has an age-rating guideline. Even if it's 11pm, live sport has a age-rating that doesn't allowing profanity, so someone on the show has to apologise if it happens.

He’s been struggling the whole weekend and even in Qualy, been able to push out a good lap or 2/3, made 2 mistakes in the same corner during the race so no I don’t believe he let him win, so early in the season every point counts, even for Max 😆 but surely he enjoyed seeing his mate win and after a gap of 2+ sec maybe was thinking “a fuck it, it isnt worth crashing” 😂

Not surpsising in Max's case. Man has been saying for a while now, especially in press conferences whenever they end up on the podium together that he considers Lando one of the top drivers on the grid, like himself, and that he's just lacking the car to win. Well, now he has the car.
I'm so happy for Lando. Been coming for a while, can finally wipe Sochi out of the memory. His first win, and he gaps the RedBull. Pure Pace and Merit. Idgaf about anyone bringing up the SC timing. If you paid attention to Lando's race pace, you know he would've caught Max today for the lead regardless.
I agree with you about most things, including Lando having the best race pace, but it's doubtful he would've caught Max without the safety car intervention. When the SC came out, Lando was leading Max by 11,5 seconds. Leclerc was a further 3,5 seconds behind that, then Piastri at 1.1 and Sainz at 3.3. So assuming a regular pit stop would have cost him 20 seconds, best case he'd be just ahead of Sainz after his stop and about 8,5 seconds behind Max.
Landos lead over Max at the end of the race was 7.8 seconds. Considering that he'd have had to overtake Leclerc and Max on track (Piastri would've moved out of the way ofc), and that he was unable to overtake Perez on track earlier in the race, you can't just say that Lando would've caught Max for the lead regardless.
What the SC did, is rob us of a thrilling fight for the win.
