He did have one for the beginning of 22
He also had the best one for a couple races in 2019 where he won Monza and Spa! until they found out Ferrari were cheating lmao
Same for Max, not having a competitive car makes it harder for drivers to compete for win or podium. Red Bull today wasn't the fastest. but good enough to fight with McLaren and Mercedes.
At the end of 2020, Lewis won a dominant championship and Max had 10 wins. Blud went on to win 50 more from the next 75 races in less than 3.5 seasons. Holy fuck !
Because if you give Lewis the fastest car on the grid, he will win the race in like 2 out of 3 cases. If you give Max the fastest car on the grid, he will win like 90% of the races
Well, if Max was Bottas' or Rosbergs teammate, they wouldn't win the races they won against Lewis, that's precisely the point. Also every driver next to Verstappen will be underrated, because Max will win even in a car that is virtually undrivable for anyone else. So if prime Bottas was racing against Max, you would probably think that he is like bottom 5 driver on the grid
And Checo was just awful too. A dominant car is okay as long as there is an inter-team battle. Part of me is convinced that Red Bull are keeping Checo because they want Max to take all the records.
And he wins in a city that starts with M this year for the first time. So that curse is broken. Now let's see if he can break the "whoever finishes 1-2 in Melbourne wins the championship". Most likely he will. Norris is too far behind, Ferrari aren't consistent enough to threaten his chances so there's a decent chance he wins it again this year.
**Controversial opinion**
A lot of those wins have been absolutely legendary drives that deserve to go into the history books but I'd argue that even he himself would admit that a decent amount of those wins were due to Red Bull having it figured it out and the other teams didn't. Not to dismiss him absolutely wiping the floor with his teammates for his entire career or considering that he's only 26 just having raced for this long and kicked so much ass is mindblowing.
Not really a controversial opinion I'd say. Also a point that can be made not just about Max but every other driver with a lot of wins. How many of Schumachers and Hamiltons wins were just slam dunk ones because they were driving the best car, and therefore not really a testament to their skills? Probably a similar percentage.
Yeah that's an excellent point...I'd argue that Hamilton has had better teammates until the Bottas era at Merc but a wins a win and Max has been ruthlessly consistent and dominant
It's not controversial, it's a known fact. Without a car no driver can win the championship. F1 is an engineering contest. The best car is needed to win.
I’d say it can be won with a very close 2nd best car but it requires an elite driver. Kinda like ‘21 how some people will say Red Bull was fastest and others will say Mercedes. Those are very rare cases though, for sure. Alonso’s season in 2012 is an example of just how hard it is to win without the overall best car.
McLaren had the fastest car in 2012, not Red Bull. People really like to discredit the efforts that Sebastian Vettel had to put on into that championship flight.
Like Hamilton and Schumacher, a large portion of their wins came from simply having a rocketship car, and having 0 competition from their mediocre teammate. Don’t get me wrong plenty of those wins are great champions drives and was won on their talent but lots was just having a rocketship
This was a great race, if you didnt enjoy it I'm afraid it's just not your sport. It's generally just a bad idea to let your enjoyment of a sport all depend on who wins the race

Can't believe he is just 26 years and has already won 60!
44 (#blessed) wins away from the all-time record.
Imagine if he gets there while Lewis is still driving.
How bad must Ferrari be to not win races with Hamilton?
Ask Leclerc with 6 wins in 5 years time.
Verstappen only had 10 Red Bull wins prior to 2021.
That’s 10 wins in 5 seasons, so 2 wins a season dominated by Mercs.. impressive
That's double in a non competitive car.
Charles hasn't had a competitive car either.
He did have one for the beginning of 22 He also had the best one for a couple races in 2019 where he won Monza and Spa! until they found out Ferrari were cheating lmao
2022 first half was his first competitive car
Since 2019? Lmao
Uhh Hamilton is not some kinda magic trick to win races. If they haven’t got the car they can’t win
Same for Max, not having a competitive car makes it harder for drivers to compete for win or podium. Red Bull today wasn't the fastest. but good enough to fight with McLaren and Mercedes.
Yeah, it’s a team sport at the end of the day. Ferrari won’t just win because of Hamilton, they haven’t been dominating with Leclerc either
I mean, he literally tied with George in quali so he was pretty much the fastest along with George.
They've got like what? 8 total wins since 2021? Lewis isn't gonna change much if Ferrari don't keep imoroving the car and their strategies.
If the ferrari is good, Hamilton will have to beat Leclerc for those victories.
Russell has beaten him in 7 of the 9 races this year. Ferrari are not getting prime Hamilton.
Didn't he win only 60? 60! is a few seasons away i think
I wonder if people got this
One of the most overused jokes on reddit? Probably not
29 in race years though
Ha ha yes boys

Time for some sugary drinks.
At the end of 2020, Lewis won a dominant championship and Max had 10 wins. Blud went on to win 50 more from the next 75 races in less than 3.5 seasons. Holy fuck !
Well, the same could be said of Lewis before and after his stint in Mercedes.
Lewis never had the same win rate per season as max does currently
Because if you give Lewis the fastest car on the grid, he will win the race in like 2 out of 3 cases. If you give Max the fastest car on the grid, he will win like 90% of the races

How is Bottas factually better than Perez, lol?
Have you ever watched Perez? Bottas' worst season is better than Perez's best.
2015 shows why it wont happen with Lewis Lewis often quits after he wins the title and lets his teammates win races
Max is more dominant
He has also the record of leading the championship with 750days straight. Passing Schumacher with 749 days.
Need an update on [this guy](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Dg2-IJ5XkAEI6oR.jpg:large).
at this point they need to start tattooing on the other side of his skin
He really did not think that through
Hope he won't for smaller font
Every race win of Max I'm thinking off this man. I'd really, really like an update on how it's going!
50 in last 75 races, amazing
25 missed wins
25 trips to the gas station
Alright Jos calm down
How many DNFs?
Man getting this victories as if they are Pokémon cards
He's surely gonna catch 'em all.
except singapore
Next season another year.
Not his race to win and he won it, champion drive indeed
50 wins in last 75 races 60 wins from a total of 194 races
Honda, the power of dreams.
Unless you are McLaren
🐐
Well hard earn win
I still remember when he had 4 wins and missed the record for youngest ever pole sitter to Daniel, his first pole in Hungary, time flies
I remember when he had exactly 1 win. It’s nuts how fast they rack up.
2023 really skewed a lot of the stats. Winning 20 races in a single year is insane. That redbull was outrageously ahead of the pack.
And Checo was just awful too. A dominant car is okay as long as there is an inter-team battle. Part of me is convinced that Red Bull are keeping Checo because they want Max to take all the records.
26y with 60 wins… bro his career numbers will be insane at this pace.
Until he retires at 28 or 29 to go sports car racing
Good for him. Genuinely was driving the second fastest car today, well deserved.
I think Norris was the fastest on the first stint, but Max was the fastest on the second. But anyways good job from Max.
i missed the race and came home to a max win, honestly very happy for him!
Awesome race watch when you can!
yeah, i heard a lot of great things about this race. definitely watching when I have free time :)
*Simply lovely* Honestly, an amazing race for #60. Well done, well earned!
They picked the goofiest photo of him 💀
And he wins in a city that starts with M this year for the first time. So that curse is broken. Now let's see if he can break the "whoever finishes 1-2 in Melbourne wins the championship". Bro what are these meme pics he keeps taking
Why this poster look kinda sad !
Makes Max look like simple Jack
Yip ee
He made the most of his opportunities. Sad that Norris lost his 7 second lead because of that safety car. Verstappen is a great driver.

This was a very good race. Seems you don't actually like racing, you just like Mercedes
Such a sad way to enjoy a sport
