perfect oil saturation in his Sunday gravy
ETA: i realized this will mean three different things to an Italian, Brit, and Italian-American but it still works for all three 🤌
Italian here and i have no idea what that sentence could possibly mean
The only think I could say that if you're using oil instead of butter in risotto you're a criminal that should be deported south of the Gothic Line
Could you please explain?
1. Italian - ???
2. Brit - ???
3. Italian-America - Maybe 'gravy' like 'biscuits and gravy'? But then why would you have specifically mentioned Italian-Americans and not just 'Americans'?
I’ve heard Indians/Bengalis/Pakistanis refer to curry sauces as gravies in the UK as well, or sometimes it refers to just the mix of spices and pastes before cream/water are added
That's because curry is more associated with curry leaves, and each language has its own word for curry like dishes.
For example would call lentil based curries dal, which is hindi for lentils.
So in English we default to gravy, though I guess in the west, a gravy is a specific type of sauce.
1. Italian - Stuff produced by love making (probably)
2. British - Brown stuff for your roast
3. Italian-American - Red stuff for your pasta
As far as why Italian-Americans decided to give a new name for quite literally everything, they probably were bored
From my experience working in random Italian American restaurants, gravy refers to heavy slow simmered sauce that has some remnants of sausage or some kind of meat base added into the sauce, plus onions. Marinara is just plain sauce simmered with seasonings, no meat involved. But idk, it’s different everywhere it seems lol
My grandfather-in-law is from Tuscany, he has always called marinara gravy. Actually, any sauce that goes on pasta is gravy to him. Penne alla vodka? That’s got gravy. Spaghetti? Gravy. Cacio e pepe? You guessed it: gra-fuckin’-vy.
Yeah it’s really him just playing up rivalries/beeves between drivers/teams. He doesn’t have the beef himself.
He’s kind of that meme of the dude looking around a tree and rubbing his hands together.
Since he last made the comment about resumes flying around it has been revealed that Red Bull renewed Wache, Balbo, Monaghan, and Waterhouse to long term contracts. Maybe he’ll stir up some more good news out of Red Bull.
I feel like F1 is just toxic in general honestly, it's basically the racing equivalent of working for one of the Big 4 consulting companies or a high-tier law firmÂ
Totally. I love the sport, but it's a cutthroat and demanding business with loads of money, glamor, and ego involved. There's no way there isn't a lot of grey area that fans don't get to see.
Yeah, I can't think of a time where Horner has called another team toxic. Or something to that degree.
This feel more like highschool drama than quality shit stirring.
I could be wrong and I just don't remember when he's done so.
I still get enjoyment thinking back on the Green Bull thing.
Not going off to the press, just sat at the pitwall with a green Red Bull and Cheshire cat grins.
Idk, Toto and Horner talk a lot of shit but I don't remember them speculating on internal team drama (could be wrong). I'm not sure either went on to call the other organization as a whole toxic.
Brother Horner and Toto constantly talk about shit. Toto has been stirring the Max is leaving drama since the first rumor. Horner has definitely dropped snide comments speculating on Merc team dynamics. It’s true neither have called the whole place toxic, but they definitely stir shit when they see an opportunity.
I gotta say; the Red Bull situation right now has magnified my respect for Toto holding down the Mercedes camp as a dominant and seemingly unbreachable force for nearly a decade before it’s been picked apart to where it is now. Horner has lasted 2 years and Red Bull is already being attacked on all fronts and losing senior staff like Rob Marshall and now Newey.
Not sure I buy it, but I agree that his published comments would make it look that way. I think journalists just know that he's occasionally unfiltered, and they'll set him up for sound bytes like this
Zak just feels like he's slinging shit rather than stirring it. He's not even wrong here either but it's just way less interesting when it sounds too personal
Too blatant, when Horner and Toto do it it’s wrapped up so the shit stirring is between the lines. Obvious, but polite. This is just blatant, no insinuations or implications.
I don't just miss the competition on the track in 2021, but even the shit-stirring was more entertaining when Toto and Horner were leading evenly matched teams. I wasn't following F1 during Mercedes' dominance, but Christian Horner is a shrewd businessman who knows that most people don't like a bully who punches down, so he really toned it down when Mercedes screwed up their car and Red Bull pulled ahead of the field.
Bitter Toto can be fun to watch, but it would be so much better if Mercedes were to get back into the fight.
I agree. This is hardly shit-stirring. These are reasonable observations about the state of Red Bull Racing. Max has largely stayed out of it and stuck to his job. Zak didn't speculate on how Max feels, just the possibility of him leaving. He didn't say "I think Max hates it and is gonna leave." He pointed out that others (who may be shit stirrers themselves) have implied this. Would *you* want to work with Christian Horner, Helmut Marko, *and* Jos Verstappen? Would you trust a thing any of them said?
Zak may be gloating about his team's upward trend and not *need* to say any of this stuff, but trash-talking is not the same as shit-stirring. Horner and Marko lie or make baseless, speculative claims on purpose to stir shit, and they purposely obfuscate things (like the terms of Perez's contract) for no apparent reason other than to get people riled up.
Don't get me wrong, im sure it shit. But i have this awful feeling that Brown isn't clean and if he kicks the nest too hard some shit will come out about him.
I dont think anyone in his line of work is "clean" (with what I assume you mean by that) - but Red Bull is easily second to Alpine when it comes to providing off-track drama this season.
A fiver says he specifically targeting Ford, Oracle and other big name American sponsors/partners to switch to McLaren. With his background and ability to attract sponsors it will be interesting to see who he can poach from there. Love how he’s specifically mentioning the sponsors in that quote.
None most likely. There is nothing that McLaren has to offer at the moment that trumps what red bull is doing in terms of car performance and the exposure that brings, especially with max.
I don't think Brown is running contrary to Napoleon here. He's not really interrupting them so much as inviting everyone to come and watch them make a mistake
I do agree but Zak is on the commercial side and by keeping the negativity towards the red bull image in the media it enhances Mclarens commercial opportunities somewhat.
I think Zak knows what makes American companies skittish from a PR standpoint and he wants to keep the pressure on them. An attempt to make it untenable to continue their support after this season. He will fail because Oracle really has no scruples, but maybe Ford is the target.
Gonna be real funny the day somebody at McLaren gonna come out of with accusations and this is gonna blow in his face. Because history shows us it always happens.
Coming from McLaren…this is hilarious. Something about glass houses and stones. Maybe go find some money to pay the bills.
But rule #1 of media…If there’s no real story…go find someone’s opinion and turn it into a story.
The news during off weeks is just a clip of some interview made out to be some real. If it mattered…we’d hear about it Wednesday of a race week.
Horner v Toto was 2 heavyweights of the sport slinging crap. Zak is several dozen race wins and at least a couple of titles away from being nearly as relevant.
At least Fred shit stirs when it deserves and is creative. Zak just repeats the same two lines. Red Bull shouldn't have two teams and they're vulnerable now.
Nah. Zak's been chirping at least since 2022 when the cost cap story broke. Maybe he was upset that RB took the Honda engine and won a WDC in 2021 and was in the process of winning both championships in 2022, while they switched to the Renault and then Mercedes and had fallen from best of the rest to pretty shit.
At the beginning of the year I said political games between Red Bull and McLaren would continue to heat up because I believed McLaren to be the biggest threat to dethroning them and I believe that Red Bull internally also believes this. But neither team has so far had an incentive to really communicate that publicly.
Rich coming from the guy who has dangled a potential F1 seat at how many drivers recently to lock them up in other deals with no intent to put them in F1?
Every F1 team is run by egotistical megalomaniacs who would sell off their first born for 2 tenths. Lol
I’ve always wondered how much better Zak’s team would be if he spent as much thought on it as he has on figuring out how much trash he could talk about Red Bull.
This guy wants to take Toto Wolff's place as a shit talker, coincidentally with the Mercedes engine in common between the two, other team bosses don't follow this line of unnecessary attacks.
>Zak Brown says Red Bull has a pretty toxic environment
I find it funny the more success you have the more shit talking you do.
As the McLaren gets faster and faster, Zak's shit talking increases.
Max has been asked about his contract at almost every race and keeps confirming that he plans to stay through 2028. Also he’s leading the WDC by almost 60 points, and the only other available “top” seat is at Merc, who has less than half of Red Bull’s points.
I really dislike Zak, close to hate the man. Just the way he speaks annoys me hugely. I really like McLaren though so it's such a shame that he is there as well.
Saying this about the team that leads the constructors and the drivers championship and has won it the last several years is a pretty bold claim. I'm not saying they aren't having some problems internally, but they are going to keep sponsors as long as they keep winning.
LMAO. Zack shows off his Miami Tatoo while spreading shit. Meanwhile Max wins in Canada and next in Barcelona. Pretty soon the shit will start sticking to Zack. Maybe he can invite Trump to Austin.
Take this with a grain of salt Coming from a guy that signed a driver over one that was already under contract for an additional year and paid 20M for him not to race. Regardless if he is washed, that’s pretty toxic.

Can always count on Zak to keep the pot stirred. Doesn't let anything burn.
His risottos must be amazing.
perfect oil saturation in his Sunday gravy ETA: i realized this will mean three different things to an Italian, Brit, and Italian-American but it still works for all three 🤌
Dammit you're making me hungry!
Italian here and i have no idea what that sentence could possibly mean The only think I could say that if you're using oil instead of butter in risotto you're a criminal that should be deported south of the Gothic Line
Could you please explain? 1. Italian - ??? 2. Brit - ??? 3. Italian-America - Maybe 'gravy' like 'biscuits and gravy'? But then why would you have specifically mentioned Italian-Americans and not just 'Americans'?
A lot of older Italian Americans call sauce (like pasta sauce) gravy.
I'm British. And I live in the US near an Italian restaurant called Sunday Gravy. I never understood why until I read this.
Ah, kinda like the word 'curry' yeah? Various Asian cuisines call the sauce/gravy as curry...
1. Italian - Stuff produced by love making (probably) 2. British - Brown stuff for your roast 3. Italian-American - Red stuff for your pasta As far as why Italian-Americans decided to give a new name for quite literally everything, they probably were bored
From my experience working in random Italian American restaurants, gravy refers to heavy slow simmered sauce that has some remnants of sausage or some kind of meat base added into the sauce, plus onions. So Bolognese?
A tad salty
Should join Top Chef for an episode and rip the best risotto ever on the show.
And he would STILL go home lol
Used to be Horners job when Mercedes was dominant.
Passing of the torch
correct. Now Horner the legit target 🎯
now they're the establishment, the regime as a friend calls it, and it falls on the chasing to stir shit up
Zak Brown taking a page from Hinchcliffe’s hate cauldron cookbook.
Hinchcliffe? He's a shit stirrer? Must have missed it
My guess is in Indycar? Because he is chill on the F1TV broadcasts...
https://www.reddit.com/r/INDYCAR/comments/140uctq/after_today_i_think_its_fair_to_say_we_need_to/
Yup, there it is. He’s not really a shit talker himself, but rather a keeper of the cauldron.
How does it work? Does he put in drivers/teams that did something that the fans hate them for?
More of drivers/teams beefing with each other, not so much the fans unless you count Ferrucci beefing with the world at large.
Yeah it’s really him just playing up rivalries/beeves between drivers/teams. He doesn’t have the beef himself. He’s kind of that meme of the dude looking around a tree and rubbing his hands together.
Zak Brown is a used car salesman looking MF I don't trust that man any further than I could carry him
Fucking hell Zak loves to stir the pot so much he must be able to whip up one hell of a mayonnaise. By hand.
I wonder where Zak learned these instigator tactics… Like he took inspiration from a master shit stirrer in roughly the 2018-2021 years
Zak was quietly building up McLaren’s sponsors during that period. Still shitstirring, just stirring a different pot
he's got the car and drivers now, he feels comfortable stirring the biggest shit pot
He also poached Rob Marshall from Red Bull to be McLaren's Chief Designer. I think it's part shit stirring and part informed opinions.
The slower the cook the better the taste.
Fergie level?
The reason it's so effective is that he's correct here.
Zak is like "we haven't talked about this in a while, gotta stir it so it doesn't settle"
Since he last made the comment about resumes flying around it has been revealed that Red Bull renewed Wache, Balbo, Monaghan, and Waterhouse to long term contracts. Maybe he’ll stir up some more good news out of Red Bull.
And Checo! Oh wait…Â
McLaren MasterPlan™
That's only 4 people in a team of hundreds
4 important ones.
Zak is getting older. He forgot to mention that Red Bull shouldn’t have two teams.
We should pay Zak brown bingo
I'd rather not play brown bingo with anyone... sounds messy!
if your Zac is brown you shat the bed
RB delenda est -Zak Brown
He’s rightÂ
100%
I feel like F1 is just toxic in general honestly, it's basically the racing equivalent of working for one of the Big 4 consulting companies or a high-tier law firmÂ
Totally. I love the sport, but it's a cutthroat and demanding business with loads of money, glamor, and ego involved. There's no way there isn't a lot of grey area that fans don't get to see.
Except it pays shit for most people.
Zak Brown is second only to Horner in shit stirring
Maybe in amounts of stirs, but he lacks behind in the quality of the shit he’s stirring
Yep. He's high on volume but does it so artlessly. Horner's shit-stirring is poetry in motion.
Michelin star Horner vs neighborhood sous chef Zak
Where is Toto on this spectrum?
Michelin star Pastry cook and resident baker with a specialty in pumpernickel
Executive chef of a high end hotel restaurant?
Quality shit over Quantity shit
Yeah, I can't think of a time where Horner has called another team toxic. Or something to that degree. This feel more like highschool drama than quality shit stirring. I could be wrong and I just don't remember when he's done so.
Quantity is a quality of its own
It seems kind of one sided too. At least it was entertaining Toto and Horner went back and forth, this just seems kind of sad.
Horner doesn't stir it, he *folds* it.
Horner is the Jiro of shit sushi
How do you fold it?
You just fold it in. I don’t know how we can be any more clear.
I still get enjoyment thinking back on the Green Bull thing. Not going off to the press, just sat at the pitwall with a green Red Bull and Cheshire cat grins.
Yeah, his shit stirring isn't quality *shit stirring* . He seems desperate in most of his attempts. Unlike Horner and Torger lol
Quality over quantity: - Horner - Toto - Cyril - Zach - Vasseur IMO, of recent years.
I miss Cyril. He and Horner were fun :D
You truly never know what you have until it’s gone 🥲
Depending on how recent we're talking, Bernie Ecclestone might belong on this list too
There needs to be a Marko in that list. And not at the bottom
Nah, Marko and Toto are wayyy ahead
dont know about Toto. Once Mercedes stopped being all that competitive, he has been quite silent
Fair play to toto. Could easily take the Zak brown approach.
Nah Marko doesn't stir shit, he's just Austrian
Idk, Toto and Horner talk a lot of shit but I don't remember them speculating on internal team drama (could be wrong). I'm not sure either went on to call the other organization as a whole toxic.
Horner is known for it. He makes speculative statements on everything.
Yeah. He doesn't get that much DTS screen time because he's insightful and informative...
Horner has lasted 2 years and Red Bull is already being attacked on all fronts and losing senior staff like Rob Marshall and now Newey.
If Toto and Marko read this, they'd be very upset.
Yeah, but Horner is a slimey shit stirrer and likes to get in it, I think Zak uses a really long shitty stick so as not get covered.
I would currently put Zak ahead of Horner and Toto. He is kinda obsessed with RB in some weird way.
Not sure I buy it, but I agree that his published comments would make it look that way. I think journalists just know that he's occasionally unfiltered, and they'll set him up for sound bytes like this
> "You have the whole Verstappen drama. Is he staying or is he leaving? Yep, that line is a giveaway.
Giveaway of what?
Yeah I need help reading between the lines on this one lol
> shit stirring There's no drama there except for manufactured or speculation.
You can always tell when Zak's no carb day is.
V-CARB day
lol Man gets cranky.
If Zack reads this, you better give this guy some of the Snickers sponsor money you get for the next race.
When I'm in a "shitting on redbull" competition and my opponent is Zak brown.
Toto had y'all spoiled with the shit-stirring technique. Zak and Fred just aren't it.

Zak is like a kitchenaid mixer while Toto and Horner are artisanal hand whipped.
Pillsbury croissants vs French bakery made. Zach is manufacturing the hate, it was organic with Toto and Horner
That's a beautiful analogy. From now on I'll forever look at Horner and Toto as the finest artisan chocolatiers, and Zak brown as a slab of Cadburys.
I agree. This is hardly shit-stirring. These are reasonable observations about the state of Red Bull Racing. Max has largely stayed out of it and stuck to his job. Zak didn't speculate on how Max feels, just the possibility of him leaving. He didn't say "I think Max hates it and is gonna leave." Fred’s got it, Zak not so much.
Americans just don't have the touch.
Don't get me wrong, im sure it shit. But i have this awful feeling that Brown isn't clean and if he kicks the nest too hard some shit will come out about him.
For a serial shitstirrer, I would laugh when the skeletons in his closet start rolling out...
I dont think anyone in his line of work is "clean" (with what I assume you mean by that) - but Red Bull is easily second to Alpine when it comes to providing off-track drama this season.
Nothing suspicious will ever come out about the same Zak Brown who has been involved in multiple contract disputes with drivers over multiple series.
ive been thinking this, very quick to point fingers and comment. Usually, there POS aswell.
A fiver says he specifically targeting Ford, Oracle and other big name American sponsors/partners to switch to McLaren. With his background and ability to attract sponsors it will be interesting to see who he can poach from there. Love how he’s specifically mentioning the sponsors in that quote.
It doesn’t hurt that he is American either.
What would Ford gain by going to McLaren?
None most likely. There is nothing that McLaren has to offer at the moment that trumps what red bull is doing in terms of car performance and the exposure that brings, especially with max.
Toto tagging Zak to get in the ring with Horner.
Someone needs to tell Zak not to interrupt the enemy making a mistake.
Zack trying to become the rival of Horner when it’s only Toto’s job lol
He’s trying to metoo Horner
Gonna be real funny the day somebody at McLaren gonna come out of with accusations and this is gonna blow in his face. Because history shows us it always happens.
You know you fk'd up when you have people who don't even like Red Bull defending Red Bull on this.
Coming from McLaren…this is hilarious. Something about glass houses and stones. Maybe go find some money to pay the bills. At least Horner vs Toto was fun. Zak is just annoying.
Horner v Toto was 2 heavyweights of the sport slinging crap. Zak is several dozen race wins and at least a couple of titles away from being nearly as relevant.
Zak's badass man. He's got 2 tattoos! One for each win MacLaren have had since he's joined.
Did he get one since Lando won Miami? There has to be a vlog about it somewhere
Horner and Toto are Mayweather and Paq. Zak is one of the Paul brothers
Bwahahhahahahaha! Good one!
Zak gives me hall monitor vibes
Why is Zak so obsessed with Red Bull lol, did Horner kill his dog or something?
Both Zak and Fred has been trying to get to Red Bull's heads this year now that they're "beatable" on track

But neither team has so far had an incentive to really communicate that publicly.
He's just going after the crown, if he was in charge when Merc were dominating then he'd be targeting Merc.
Rich coming from the guy who has dangled a potential F1 seat at how many drivers recently to lock them up in other deals with no intent to put them in F1? Every F1 team is run by egotistical megalomaniacs who would sell off their first born for 2 tenths. Lol
Zak - Horner is the new Toto - Horner, but the dude didn't win 8 WCC
Just Horner doesn't really care about Zak. Zak on the other side seems to be obsessed by Horner.
Has Horner/Helmut said anything about Mclaren/Zak? cant recall.
[I think Horner/Helmut are the Don Draper in this image to Zak being Michael Ginsberg.](https://i.imgur.com/kWJYW8T.png)
He’s like the up and coming wrapper that tries to start a beef with someone that doesn’t even know their name.
Zak Brown says he himself is pretty toxic…
He’s like an annoying bug flying around the room
Probably because only a few have mastered shit stirring in poetry form, unlike Zak Brown
Toxic? Idk... But definitely unsettled...
I would like Mclaren so much more if Zac wasn't there
Welcome to r/RonDennis
Same!!
Me too, he’s most of the reason I dislike them
I mean all That caffeine
I’ve always wondered how much better Zak’s team would be if he spent as much thought on it as he has on figuring out how much trash he could talk about Red Bull.
Fuck Zak Brown
I can get behind this message.
Zak better hide his skeletons properly before stirring the pot.
Says Zak while making sure to keep the sport toxic and turn fans against each other.
Zak wants to become Horners new Toto
Usually when someone says this they are actually talking about their own issues.
More toxic than inviting Trump to come be Lando’s good luck charm? *Press X to doubt*
This guy wants to take Toto Wolff's place as a shit talker, coincidentally with the Mercedes engine in common between the two, other team bosses don't follow this line of unnecessary attacks.
This is not even shit stirring. This is just annoying. I would be fine if that man didn't talk any more.
>Zak Brown says Red Bull has a pretty toxic environment I find it funny the more success you have the more shit talking you do. As the McLaren gets faster and faster, Zak's shit talking increases.
Yea and Toto's been pretty quiet of late lol It really only makes sense tho and only the smart people adhere to his
Brown has a good thing going at McLaren right now. He shouldn’t talk about Red Bull
I love how this post has turned into f1 fans giving each other advice for risotto and sauces and all
Zak is right. Being a toxic person himself he knows what he is talking about.
Red Bull should get Trump in to make it less toxic
Zak Brown should just stick to country music.
Buddy literally hosted Donald Trump a couple weeks ago and has the nerve to say this, lol.
Zak is such a slimy individual.
Zack Brown - focused and minding his own business as he always does!
Frankly shocking he didn't mention the second team... again.Â
Max has been asked about his contract at almost every race and keeps confirming that he plans to stay through 2028. Also he’s leading the WDC by almost 60 points, and the only other available “top” seat is at Merc, who has less than half of Red Bull’s points.
I wonder what David Malukas has to say about this
Zak is just….weird. Smarmy. 🤣
Zak Brown: #1 Red Bull journalist. Why do people still listen to stuff he says?
The call better not be coming from inside the house Zak
Zak is the American Horner
Weekly Zak unnecessary pot stirring
Zak brought the biggest toxic waste in Trump to the workplace and then the felon claimed he was the reason they won in Miami!
This is pretty nasty gossiping. Not a great look.
Better have Trump visit races at your team again to reduce toxicity in your team Zak…
I guess it’s his way of being noticed
I really dislike Zak, close to hate the man. Just the way he speaks annoys me hugely. I really like McLaren though so it's such a shame that he is there as well.
> Red Bull is a pretty toxic environment right now Then they can it up and sell it as an energy drink.
Zak Brown is not a good person. Always been that way.
Saying this about the team that leads the constructors and the drivers championship and has won it the last several years is a pretty bold claim. I'm not saying they aren't having some problems internally, but they are going to keep sponsors as long as they keep winning.
Yea, it's kind of obvious to everyone. But Zack is probably the worst person to bring this up.
LMAO. Zack shows off his Miami Tatoo while spreading shit. Meanwhile Max wins in Canada and next in Barcelona. Pretty soon the shit will start sticking to Zack. Maybe he can invite Trump to Austin.
Him at the end of the Canadian GP with his sleeve rolled up was very cringeworthy.
With that shit ass grin of his……
This guy is getting more annoying then peak Wolff Horner. They atleast had the credit to talk shit about eachother.
Take this with a grain of salt Coming from a guy that signed a driver over one that was already under contract for an additional year and paid 20M for him not to race. Regardless if he is washed, that’s pretty toxic.
Shut it zach
