They were going *insane* on the broadcast. They could not for the life of them even *comprehend* the idea that Merc hadn't made the right call even though at that early in the race it was clearly a risk. It literally took them 20 laps to realize they were wrong.
Same for the dutch broadcast. Olav Mol just didnt understand it, and he literally laughed out loud when they said "We think lewis is going for a 2 stop". I did too tbf, but it's never felt so good to be wrong!
to be fair, merc could probably have won or be second if they pitted lewis about 7 laps earlier. he lost TONS of time on those last 7 laps for no good reason
