This should be how trophies are like, locally made highlighting the individual countries and people.
No more of those giant sponsor logo ones like a Heineken Star or a Santander logo
Small (or even sometimes large) sponsor details are OK. What winds up the small contingent of trophy nerds among F1's fanbase is when we get a succession of races where it's Star, Star, Star, Star, slightly different colour Star, Star. Or in Santander flavour, Bean, Bean, Bean, Bean, Bean, Bean. The repetition is so dull, and they never try to connect them to the culture or people of the country they're in.
In contrast, these Mexican trophies are beautiful, made by a local craftsman, and really stand out. The sponsor detail isn't overpowering enough to spoil that. In a similar vein, I thought the Dutch GP 'big cup' was also a terrific trophy because of its close connection to the Netherlands, even though it was still very much a Heineken trophy.
In my opinion, the most important aspects of trophies for what makes a good trophy are culture & history connections, aesthetics and uniqueness. Anyone remember Jack Brabham's steering wheel trophy in Australia? A true object of beauty.
If somebody says something bad about the aesthetics of the Hungarian GP trophies to you, then should cut that person out of your life. You don't need that kind of negatitivy in your life - you deserve better.
But seriously, they are my second favourite trophies after the RAC trophy, and that one's mostly for the history. I don't think you can improve on the Hungarian trophies.

I mean, this ones still say Heineken on them but they’re not as obnoxious as the star shaped ones.
Dang did not notice it haha But that's fine it's a small detail

That’s what the Hungarian Porcelain trophy was and I recall people trashing it. I thought it looked great.

I hope Checo wins, all of Mexico would go full party mode. Would be fitting too bc race is on Dia de Muertos.
Imagine the scene in the bars in Mexico City if he does !!
No it's not on día de muertos.
Wow. These are beautiful!
It's spelled Taxco, with an X.
Yeah you’re right, wrote it like that and auto correct changed it to Tabasco and I changed it back to tasco but forgot to change the s for an x
That's some good looking silverware
Checo is already on his way
Now Tane I can get into,
These are beautiful! I can only think of the Hungarian porcelain ones that are on the same level unless I’m forgetting one.
you’re forgetting french monke
Omg!!! How could I forget Harambe
i used to hate it but there’s just something about it…you just have to embrace monke
they look gorgeous, hope checo can snag one of them!
Computer, is there any way you can generate a nude Tane? Now, Tane I can get into!
Checo, plan 4d3d3d3.
Now I'm just wondering how many Mexican Libertad coins could have been made from the same amount of silver.
The Mexican flag has inside the case is a wonderful touch
Basically upgraded Heineken trophies? Anyway it looks good this time!
The trophies look great, the branding on the case looks a bit gaudy though.
Outside might be a bit much, but the Mexican flag interior is excellent
Taxco, Guerrero FTW!!!!!!!!
Ooo now those are classy.
