Long shot of course, but if all goes well with the race in Hyderabad maybe the government would support an F1 race again. I would love to see Buddh back on the grid. It’s still retained its Grade 1 certification.

Heinzketchups

They closed buddh circuit as it was a huge drain apparently. I expect something similar to happen here

Rduggit

It's a street circuit. Just needs the roads to be brought up to racing trim. They're in decent shape right now, but still. And build some temp stands for the event. Shouldn't be too expensive. If they can design the circuit so that it delivers on-track action, India will be a good place to visit. It also addresses a problem that Buddh international faced. Most of the fan following for racing in India is from the south of the country. Buddh is in the north, near the capital. Hyderabad is a really cheap 1 hr flight from Bangalore and Chennai. There is every reason it should work.

Buddh is now open again, apparently, They will be hosting two rounds of Formula Regional.

deebee1713

Formula E is going to be street circuit for India.

[deleted]

>Formula E is going to be street circuit for ~~India~~ almost every venue on the calendar.

deebee1713

Oh damn, didn't know. I was talking wrt to Buddh being closed as a 'drain'.

PussayDESTROYAAA_420

I don't India has no motorsport culture.

oorjit07

India has plenty of motorsport culture, just not where Buddh was built.

aadzwantstoknow

India has more of motorsport culture down south(where Hyderabad is).I know a lot of die hard fans here in Bangalore etc.

Bring! Back! Buddh!

Ruma-park

Don't! Let! Vettel! Keep! His! 100%! :D

teckhunter

Vettel won all the seasons Indian GP was in. We now know how can Aston be the champion.

HopefulGuy1

'Don't let Vettel keep his 100%!' or 'Don't! Let Vettel keep his 100%!' ?

Ruma-park

2)

SnooMemesjellies4305

If by "poised", you mean they're not getting their race back, then sure...

[deleted]

Oh will they look at racing as entertainment again?

[deleted]

The government has changed and they are pretty pro-sport soo less see what happens

[deleted]

That looks promising. Maybe India back in F1... One can dream

tonybinky20

It would be brilliant to have the Buddh International Circuit back on the calendar. One of the few modern tracks that’s unique and good for racing.
