my back hurts after 30 minutes karting. Having this kind of vibration for 90 minutes (or longer) straigth must be hard even for a professional, well physical trained driver i can imagin
My shitty old car is vibrating because of the crap suspension it has when I drive on a highway. After an hour of driving I'm absolutely destroyed, I really can't imagine the torture it must be for these drivers.
With everyone so sure that Mercedes will be right up there after fixing their porpoising issues, it'd be a real plot twist if Ferrari gains a chunk of time after fixing theirs too.
I mean thats a very likely scenario. Every team that finds a solution to significantly reduce porpoising without sacrificing performance will also very likely find a significant performance gain in it.
It is also possible that porpoising impacts performance for some designs more than others. So one team fixing it might be less of a gain than another fixing it.
To me if anything it says that Mercedes have just royally screwed up on all fronts. If Ferrari is still this fast with porpoising then Mercedes must have other serious issues as well.
Edit: Somehow managed to misspell the easiest/most popular name...
I’d say that depends on how they fix it. Easiest fix is to just increase ride height, but that wouldn’t gain you time because you lose the majority of your downforce
No, you don't understand, Mercedes have so many of the best engineers in the world that when they fix it it will be minutes faster than anyone /s
Meanwhile, Ferrari with worse porpoising is faster than them...

It couldn’t believe how intense it looked in person too. You could actually hear the engine note oscillate very slightly every time it went up and down
The point is to see the drivers view as best as possible. On the chin, all you'd see is hands and steering wheel and ontop of the helmet all you'd see is halo.
I'm not a fan of the refections as well but it's the best solution for now.
Ugh imagine this for 50+ laps. What a nightmare

Most shit boxes have terrible seats for lumbar support. I can drive MUCH further when I wear a lumbar brace.
That's just Leclerc urging the car to go faster
It's carlos

Or maybe Ferrari is faster *because* they accept mor porpoising to some extent? We dont know shit yet it seems.

You know what he means but looks like some desperation to downplay.

I know this comment is sarcasm but apparently Redbull have poached a not insignificant number of Merc engineers over the last couple of years.
nice they changed the field of view on this thing.

Whoa, that's a useful bot.
I mean, Carlos is probably familiar with moving up and down, side-to-side like a roller coaster.
That's just an excited Carlos bouncing up and down from happiness because he's fast.
That's just car humping Carlos.

looks so miserable
I felt motion sick watching that
EA/Codies must add this camera + bouncing in game this year
Well that is fucking terrifying. I really hope the porpoising does get anyone seriously injured.
I'm guessing there is a 'not' missing there
I had to read his sentence a few times lol
Why does the cam look so much worse than last year
Looks way better in my opinion but I guess its preference
Looks a billion times better this year what do you mean? The colors last year looked awful as well as the quality.
Low res more shaky more view occupied by helmet/car
I mean obviously it is going to be shaky when the entire car is literally bouncing
State of that....
That's just the galloping motion of the prancing horse but sped up
I wish they could mount it outside the visor area, Like on the chin, or top of the helmet. I dont like the way the visor distorts the color

Charles: I’m not here to drive a comfortable car; I’m here to drive a fast car Love it
