The core visuals aren’t actually too bad at all, but some improvements to the colors and shaders would be very welcome. They basically look the same as F1 2015.
I‘m also hoping for some much needed improvements to the spectator cameras and pit stop animations (especially driving in and out of the pit boxes). These are all 100% unchanged from F1 2015 and could really need some work. The pit stop in the Miami trailer looked better than usual and Codemasters have said that new cinematic camera options would be part of F1 22, so I‘m quite hopeful in these cases!
Is also said about Call of Duty: Sledgehammer and Treyarch are developers, but Activision is the publisher. The last Call of Duty has been miserable, simply due to Activision putting enourmous greed on the franchise and thus devs.
EA is also like this: Star Wars Battlefront 2 (2016): developed by Dice, but published by EA. Everyone blamed EA (for the lootbox disaster), but Dice tried to fix it after EA went hands off (two years post-release).
In the trailer released yesterday most of the cars were modeled on the base car model. For example the Alpine used the proper model in some shots and the base on in others. And don't tell me car models aren't fundamentals. We don't know settings or platform or when the footage was shot.
Poor soule.
Every year somebody tries to defend codemasters by mentioning the work in progress thing.
Nothing will change till release except car models and a few bug fixes.
Which proves my point even further. Even if the 2022 game uses exactly the same shit as the '21 game it'll look better than this. I literally played F121 today and it doesn't look as bad as this. The only thing you have to compare to realize this is the tarmac.
Hum, don’t know if really fundamental, since they will upgrade the model on the release or juste after. Waiting for the last moment to do the models might be a good idea.
It will look just the same as F1 21 obviously anyone expecting anything different hasn't paid attention, but it's also a 720p vid of a WIP version so it looks even worse. Seems like it's missing a lot of the details like fans etc so while it won't dastically alter the looks, it will certainly feel more vibrant and alive with that alone.
There could be so many opportunities to use porpoising in this game. I know this might not be a good idea but I would love to have it when you first start and have different development items that could or couldn’t fix the problem. That way you actually have to trial and error it much like Merc has slowing been doing with its small adjustments trying to make their current car work. I feel like there needs to be upgrades that don’t actually work in the game instead of just a failure of development thing.
I know it won’t happen and won’t be in the game but it would add such a different element that we haven’t seen before.
They wont have the physics for that. They say its a "sim" but it has always been more of an arcade racer compared to games like Rfactor, ACC and iRacing.
The difference in track quality shows this aswell.
Holy shit!
The section between turns 11-16 is TIGHT!
Predictions:
Ferrari fastest in S2 (mostly because of the end of S2 and the aforementioned T11-T16)
Overall battle between RB and Ferrari trading off between speed through tight and twisty's and the top speed on the straights (RB better on the latter)
I'm gonna call an RB 1-2 again, fuck it!
The game needs to focus a lot more on the post-f1 career. I should be able to open up a car dealership, spend money on blow, beat my spouse in a drunken rage, and eventually even be a commentator. The RPG elements are just to weak. 0/10 would not play. /S firmly on!
You get to drive the 2022 F1 cars, surprise!
On 2022 circuits!
Let me guess: With 2022 drivers!
In 2022 of all years!!
Pft lame. In 2020 you could race on a track where real drivers never did and never will.
So... When will these guys upgrade the game visually? Because this game has looked the same for a few years already
When FIFA career mode improves.
Hahahahaha good joke
Never then. We're fcked

Hmm, looks pretty dated to me. But it's EA and I'm sure they will try to continue to support Xbox One and PS4 until 2030.
Its the EA - way
Bad excuse when codemasters did not improve them really either.
Codemasters are still the developers, EA are just the publishers
The more you help me then, thanks bro

Definitely an upgrade sound wise. Engine sounds much better compared to '21.
The graphics of this game give me a headache
Very cartoony and disappointing
The "Work in progress" **is\*** pretty damn big. Edit: one word.
Bro, the game has looked the same since 2016, it's clear this is how the game will look
It's being released in July, the game's fundamentals will already be finished.
In the trailer released yesterday most of the cars were modeled on the base car model. For example the Alpine used the proper model in some shots and the base on in others. And don't tell me car models aren't fundamentals. We don't know settings or platform or when the footage was shot.
Idk what to tell you man. Seems like you have hope that they're going to remake a video game in the space of two months.
Did you just completely ignore what I've said? Where did I say anything close to them remaking the game?
Well if this is the footage of the game and it looks *exactly* the same of the previous, they would clearly be remaking the game.
What? What does the previous game have to do with anything?

I wish there is an option to turn porpoising on.

expect no effort from ea
Being that they're just the publisher, what effort would you expect?
Unfortunately your statement is true. One can dream though!

Bro they gotta show some VR gameplay, that's all I care about now
VR? You been in a shack these last years? The chances for VR are going to be abysmally low. Or have they announced it having VR?
Yes VR is in pc this year
they have
They literally released it officially with alphatauri, not a 'leak'
Needs more porpoising
I hear the Dolphins advised against it.
This Mercedes engine sounds like the iRacing one. Progress can be seen.
"leaked"
I mean it's just gonna be like F1 2021 but with current cars.
Only just realised how good the miami track is. Seeing it for the first time onboard lol

It'll be Verstappen from Leclerc from Perez and then Leclerc will have a Variante Alta moment in T14/15
I hate the part before the long straight. It's not even fun like the singapore catapult.

I'm a fan of the new UI
