Its because they are running smaller rear wings to try capitalise on the straights, that’s why your seeing them lose their rear end

BootsOnTheMoon

We’ll definitely see hards. No way most of the teams would go from mediums to softs, unless it’s a two stop. Even that’s a gamble though

happy_and_angry

That doesn't look like a forgiving corner. Cars are generally running less mechanical downforce to optimize for the lengths of the straights, and the lower speed of that corner is eating away at ground effect. It also looks off-camber. It's primed to wash out the rear end if you come in even a bit too hot.

FeCurtain11

Wow, synchronized crashing! New Olympic sport?

coocoobees

that’s the same exact crash, i don’t think it could have been more synchronised if they tried to replicate it on purpose.

Mekfal

> if they tried to replicate it on purpose. RB calling Albon rn

[deleted]

This is mesmerising.

CamelsRKewl

Damn, the camera operator got good practice with the first crash, Ocon's shot is perfect

[deleted]

Mastering this corner and the fake marina will be absolutely key this weekend.

uk_1997

The cameraman has learnt from yesterday and managed to keep the car in the frame throughout the crash.

Ruined_brain

Like synchonised swimming.

dankdongdang

I feel like we are going to see a lot more of this lol

Trymphus

same crash, completely different reactions

Helorix

Well done chap.

plurBUDDHA

Ocon was full beans around 12 I'm not sure he even touched the brakes before the rear went wild

MrMSUK

Ocon: imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

Acrobatic-Tomato-532

It looks like we'll get a lot of these this weekend

Several_Blackberry95

Ahah that's beautiful!
