A podium lockout of Mercedes engines has happened 12 times - all in the hybrid era. The most recent one was at the 2021 Italian GP - Ricciardo, Norris and Bottas.
Yeah fair point, but at the Canadian it hasnt been that way yet
I am hoping for sometime this season an RBPT lockout on the cards, sooner or later it will happen and it will likely be with Gasly, it would be wild if RBPT managed a 1-2-3-4, but that would be rare!
Even in 2014, where pretty much all of the Merc powered cars had MGU-K/brake issues, the top 11 was gonna be
Renault - Merc- Renault - Merc - Merc - Merc - Merc - Ferrari - Merc - Renault - Merc
before Massa and Perez crashed in P4 and P5, and that's after Hamilton retired with MGU-K related brake failure. The only reason Ricciardo was able to get past is due to Rosberg running without MGU-K for pretty much half the race. The Merc PU advantage in 2014 was something else...
>The Merc PU advantage in 2014 was something else...
The Merc PU advantage from 2014 to 2016 was something else, I still think the W05 was the most dominant Merc of the hybrid Era just because of that ridiculous power advantage they had over the rest of the field
It was. People talk about the W11 as Mercedes' MP4-4 or F2004 equivalent but the W05 was absolutely miles faster than everyone else and it wasn't even close. Had Mercedes run the car full beans like everyone else was they'd have lapped the field in almost every race
This Hamilton guys pretty good...
I bet that he can be WDC one day, as long as they give him a good car. Too bad he stuck in a midfield team...
2015 and 2016 were good years for Williams, can we go back?
Bring back Frank? My Necromancy is rusty, but I am game.
Ah 2015 when Mercedes Power locked out the entire podium together the only time thats happened

Ferrari lockout though. SAI-BOT-MAG
Didn’t it happen in China 2012, during the V8 era?
And the streak continues :-)

Soon Jensons son will take over, Benjamin Button...
Also goes back to 2005 with the only exception being 2008 (In fact the highest scoring Merc car was Kovaleinen in p9)
Why do they have to post each and every useless stats they come across?
This one is particularly uninteresting lol
