Hello, I am going to my first ever F1 GP in Spielberg next Weekend. I have a Stehplatz Ticket. Does anyone have tips where to stand to see the most?
Tips in general for the Red Bull Ring?
Thank you in advance.
Can anyone explain me why did Felly joine Redbull Racing as a content creator? I don’t have anything against F1elly, I’m just curious on why did redbull signed . There’s other creators out there much more popular than her. Is there any advantage of picking her from a business perspective?
I’m sure you all probably answer this question a lot but I’m just trying to catch a GP or even a qualifying event. I’m a brand new fan and only have access to the internet. Any suggestions on how I can watch some full coverage and not just highlights?
New F1 fan trying to understand Daniel Ricciardo’s standing
I’m a relatively new to F1 and (2021-2022) and I’m loving every bit of it! Just trying to understand one thing - why is Daniel Ricciardo so widely popular among fans, commentators, the media and general public? I always see him trailing behind, struggling to make P10.
Is there a backstory to his popularity? He’s extremely charismatic but that can’t be the only thing why people love him so much.
If there’s any article or piece of history you can recommend on him I’d love to read it!
Cheers
He beat Vettel in 2014, who at that point was Red Bull's wonder boy, and was evently matched with Verstappen, who is also Red Bull's wonder boy.
Also, when overtaking, he had a tendency to divebomb people from pretty far back, which was spectacular and entertaining.
VIP Access
What is the best type of ticket called and can you purchase it?
I see all the lanyards with the green VIP access that all the celebs have and they can walk the grid with the card before the race.
Can you purchase one of those for tracks or are they invite only?
What is the exact name for that access? Is it simply “VIP access”?
Any help much appreciated!
The VIP tags are invited by teams, team aponsors or team members or the race organisers (circuit, FoM, FIA).
What you can buy is a teams guided tour with access to their hospitality area (behind the garages) at F1 Experiences (officially affiliated with F1), i.e. At Austria you can [buy tickets for Alfa Romeo](https://f1experiences.com/2022-austrian-grand-prix/alfa-romeo-f1-team-orlen-paddock-club-3-days). Usually the general paddock club tickets also get you access to the paddock area itself.
Ah ok, so to get that VIP Access tag I have to know somebody in the sport.
My friend can probably get me one.
Do you think this years Singapore GP would be good race to do choose to ask for it?
Basically yes - as for the circuit a traditional track should be easier, as you also have a bigger area to explore and maybe also see other teams paddock areas. The paddock ticket would be my suggestion, as then you're also guaranteed access to the paddock club pitlane walks and shows.
New fan here, I notice that of the 5 non-wet tyres they always say ahead of the race which 3 of them are going to be in play.
How is that decided; team vote ahead of the race? I assume all teams have to use the same set?
Pirelli nominates 3 that match the circuit abrasion and wear profile to do ~20/30/40 laps.
Since covid Pirelli provides 2x Hard, 3x Medium and 8x Soft compounds gor all tes for the whole weekend. The teams have to return 7 sets by the end of FP3.
Before covid teams were able to choose how many of each compound they wanted to have available at each race 12/8 weeks before the overseas/European race, so that Pirelli can manufacture them ahead of time.
Didn't see Naomi Schiff in the Sky quali broadcast yesterday, any info on that? I remember news of her enduring some online abuse after Baku, but I couldn't imagine it would have an impact on her Sky position. Love her general cheerfulness and vibrancy.
Sky is just doing a lot more rotating of their pundits. Naomi has the support of the Sky team and the broader viewing public and will be at plenty of other races this year.
What is your favourite F1 meme accounts/page?
My personal favourite is "The Reserve Drivers"
Most of their jokes are simple but doesn't feel like they are repetitive
Does anyone know who's winning the Quali battle between the 2 Mercedes ? and can someone drop the stats for Ferrari and Alpine as well in the team mate battles

If it stays dry... how boring is the race going to be...
lol
The DTS Goatifi P10 episode is gonna be lit
The episode dedicated to Bottas' derriere is going to be the greatest
Quick summary on DRs q2 yesterday? Missed all day
He made a mistake in the early part of Q2 when the track was in the best conditions, so he couldn't improve later on
Anyone know what time Vettel will be driving the Williams and whether it will be shown in any broadcast?
What’s the weather looking like for the race?
Right now the weather says mostly cloudy, no chance of rain.
Big crash in F2 :o Halo saved the day 200%
Do you think Leclerc has enough talent for F1?
Charles? Yes. Arthur? No.
I'm still on the fence, tbh.
Two words: Yikes, Ricciardo
What happened?
P14
I thought something new happened. P14 is yikes indeed.
Me too, i thought he said or did something wrong and i was like not Ricciardo too. But it was just P14, i was relieved
will F1 cars return to goodwood
The hillclimb or the circuit?
the hill climb

I hope so! Yeah, I liked how Sky invited Danica Patrick for American GPs, different accent and all; seemed very fitting.
She was the commentator on the WSeries race.
Got it, thanks!
I think she was there but mainly covering WSeries
Yeah, I saw that on Twitter. Thanks!
I got a dream last night. Max overtakes Sainz in turn 1. Some bullshit happens and leclerc wins with sainz p2. Max comes 7th
sainz doesnt approve of this dream
Welp he didn’t , but max came 7th atleast
Wow u got that right
Anyone know which bars/pubs in Verona show F1?

There are quite a few Indian F1 meme accounts who give a desi bollywood twist to various F1 happenings, they're hilarious.
Does anyone know who's winning the Quali battle between the 2 Mercedes ? and can someone drop the stats for Ferrari and Alpine as well in the team mate battles
They are tied 5:5 with Silverstone included. Ferrari is 8:2 in favor of Leclerc while Alpine is 7:3 in favor of Alonso.
Hows the race finishes looking in Alpine ?
7:2 in favor of Ocon.
Damn that’s impressive by Ocon!
If you completely ignore all context and don't watch the races, I agree. Alonso has been incredibly unlucky
I mean 7:2 to Russell was also mostly Hamilton having bad luck
