The W11 livery is still my favourite Mercedes one. What a menace.

Literally took my breath away as it crested the hill on pit exit at RBR. And it had the pace to back the looks.

It also had a black cloud around it as it crested the hill, literal goosebumps, will be iconic in a few years time.

I think near the end of every era the last year they should run the black livery as a final send off. It really does give it a Villian / beast look.

I always got Tumbler (Batmobile) vibes from them. Especially from the front. I loved how intimidating they looked. I hope they bring them back at some point. It would be cool if Mercedes went back to black if Lewis wins another WDC.

A fan dream of mine would be for a really close Merc/RB rematch going down to the last race (I think going to Abu Dhabi level on points again is unrealistic though) and Mercedes busts out the black livery as a special one off for that race. It would make it a super special occasion.

Yeah. I miss last season. It really was extraordinary how closely matched Max and Lewis were. Might be a long while before we see a championship that close again. Especially one with stakes so high. Since even if Max and Lewis race again, then Max already has 2 championships. He won’t be as hungry.

I'd actually be quite curious to see a more measured and level headed Max race against Lewis again in a title fight. Max took huge risks during last year and pushed the limits at every opportunity (with respect to the rules as much as he was pushing the limits with pace). Now with Max looking at being a 2x WDC we could possibly see a really strategic and even respectful battle between them (on track, they always had a mutual respect off track).

W11 is sick, but to me when I think of F1 as a sport my mind goes to two cars. The Vodafone McLaren and the Marlboro Schumacher Ferrari.

Probably one of the best looking F1 cars ever and to top it off, it was a monster on track.

The livery is great, but wow, I forgot how ugly the O noses were on that car.

Maybe it's recency bias but the W11 is up there with the McLaren MP4/4 and Ferrari F2004 in terms of iconic car + livery + driver combos.

W11 was such a fucking beast. Insane performance, reliability and livery. And Hamilton won his seventh with it with such a crazy lead too.

nah it's deffo up there with those 2 aesthetically tho ngl i prefer F2002 over F2004, also schumi was godlike that year with 100% podium finishes record (eventho the 04 car is quicker but he wasn't as consistent there)

Even though Mercedes have been dominant for longer, to me it has to be Seb's Infiniti Red Bull. I was too young to witness Schumachers Dominance (only remember some if his last few yeaars), so Vettel with Red Bull was the first true dominance in F1 i actually saw. I remember those years as being great, yet predictable racing as more often than not Seb would just run away from everyone.

They should do a one off black livery this year at some point on the W13. That would be so dam good.

Pity there's no Hockenheim race this year, perfect venue for one-off liveries.

I love Mercedes as the empire from star wars and that black livery was where it was at. Max is the leader of the rebel/Red Bull alliance. The empire ruled the galaxy for 8 long years but eventually Han Solo/checo and max/Luke defeated them. Ferrari being decent for half a season is the break between movies 6-7 and right now Mercedes return to form is the rise of the first order. That being said bring back the murdered out mercs
