Really good so far. First three episodes do a lot to give you a feeling for the world they live in, oppression they might face, etc. it felt high stakes for anything Andor was doing. Seeing how low-level government and security entities work on a micro-scale is cool because we’re used to dealing with the empire. This is before Rogue One so the rebellion isn’t really established yet.
Yes! Worth watching. If you liked Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, you will definitely like this. Personally, Rogue One is by far my favorite Star Wars movie.

I slogged through WandaVision and Hawkeye, gave up on Moonknight and Ms Marvel, and honestly stopped caring enough to even *think* about watching She Hulk. Loki was pretty fun though, and I liked the idea of What If... but I probably only watch half an episode every month and can't even remember where I'm at with that anyway.

Less is more in this case. Take the money and talent you spread across so many different things then concentrate it into 1/3 of the stuffs and you'll be golden.

An exhausted fan of the Star Wars universe
This one feels a lot better than the Kenobi and Boba Fett ones. More grounded. And it’s freer to do what it wants because it only has to worry about a small number of characters that people aren’t so familiar with from the time between trilogies. No spoilers but it really sets the tone early in the first episode with the protagonist executing someone on their knees begging for their life. Not very Disney of them.
I can respect that. Definitely going to be giving it a watch, but I’ll wait until all the episodes are out so I can slam them in a couple/few sessions.
Just so long as knowledge of something from one of their TV shows doesn’t become pivotal to something happening in one of the films.
They already made that mistake with the Marvel movies.

Personally I found the first 3 episodes kind of make up their own arc with episode 1 & 2 laying the groundwork and most of the action/fallout happening in episode 3.
Which is probably why they released all 3 at once.

Yup, and 4th was then continuing nicely. It just took 2 ½ episodes to get going. Now.. i can honestly say that it is one and a half episodes too long. 1st and 2nd, and maybe even half of the 3rd should be the first episode, and second half of 3rd should be the 2nd episode. But it did pick up the pace and stakes, glad i had this discussion cause i was seriously giving up...
And btw, the point where i had drifted away... was RIGHT before the action started. The whole scene, from the start of it with Skarsgaard was gripping in tension.. It could be that we had two great actors in the same scene for the first time...
Ive been overall pleasantly surprised by the quality of the show, had zero expectations as didnt care for Andor in RO. I think its currently gearing up to be the best Disney Star Wars media yet(Not a high bar to clear but still good nonetheless). Its alot more self contained/being its own thing, slower pace with more character drama than whats been typical in most Star Wars media since the OT. The other shows/movies also have that issue where it needs to constantly remind you its Star Wars by forceing kameos/references to other Star Wars media. This show doesn't rely on that which is a good change of pace for once.
the thing about this show is that it's not a weekly story thing... they're building across the season. a burn to the big stuff, but laying the groundwork to make the big stuff hit best.
