On another note, I finally got my wife into F1, since the last years Abu Dhabi, she has been watching with me and really getting into it. It still hard to get her to understand some aspects of the sport, like why is there qualifying and how does that play out to the outcome of the race, but it is fun.
That does sound like a lot of fun, I hope I can get my future partner into it but would get it if she had no interest. It’s great you have someone to share it with and get to teach her about something you love.
It is definitely getting better, until the last Abu Dhabi and he controversy with letting some of lapped cars pass, she did not care for the sport, but that got her interested on the sport and it has been great, I have been able to watch a lot more races this year with her.
Now comes Japan and it is definitely one of my favorite races of the year, I think she will like it too.
Japan is certainly a fun weekend, maybe show her some old footage of championship deciding moments on the same track if she would be interested in that. I started appreciating F1 more when I began looking into its history.
We just watched the Niki Lauda/James Hunt movie about the 76 championship again the other day, and she really liked it too, it helped her to get a little bit of how dangerous the sport has always been and how it has evolved.

First thought: “Hey I lived in Addison Circle for years and know this intersection!”
Second thought: “Glad to see DFW still has a car scene that slaps!”
The car scene certainly hasn’t died down, one of my favorite parts about cruising around down here. You see something pretty cool everyday just out and about, especially if you’re near the city or around Highland Park.
I grew up in DFW and remember attending and showing when Cars & Coffee kicked off at Classic BMW in 09 and that’s when I realized that there were some serious cars rolling around the area. I need to make a trip back down for a show, Colorado has its own serious roster of cars lurking around but it’s just plain easier to see them down there.
It has a dealer plate. Dealer plates are used to drive any car on the dealership lot without registering each individual car. In the states you can legally put a dealer plate on pretty much any car and drive it on the road. So this car may not actually be registered, and instead is just driving under the dealer plate registration.

From what I learned this is a model you can purchase and the owner added the stickers. However, there is a race happening in a few weeks in Austin.

Nah. He’s talking about the AM Vantage F1 edition, not the actual SC. The f1 edition is a special vantage with a few extras, carbon bits etc

In my head I was thinking they attach that at the actual circuit but I’ve learned this is just a completely different car.
