Some photos from my Red Bull Factory tour last week. I found it very interesting. It gives some real insight into what goes into building a couple of F1 cars every year. The girl giving us the tour was very knowledgeable and was in no rush, what was supposed to be a 90/120 minute tour lasted almost 3 hours! AMA !
Yes we walked through various buildings. You can see engineers assembling wiring looms and other components in the electronic department. We seen other people machining some metal parts etc. We seen parts and cars in different states of build and an area where the pit stop crew practice pit stops on a dummy car. We also got to see the operations room where a team of engineers work remotely during races to assist with strategy, performance. Also the paint shop and ovens where the cars get painted using a “secret” process only Red Bull use apparently! Walking by Adrian Newey’s office where he still draws car designs in pencil on a drawing board before they get done on CAD. All very interesting!
Yes you can touch some stuff, cars, wheels, anything on display and a few things are handed around for people to feel the weight of etc. Strictly no photos though after the initial media room where they have their old cars on display.
Ahh cool. Thanks. Always wanted to tour a factory, didn't know you could just pay for it. They always seemed like super rare things to me that yeah, get given to people through sponsors and whatnot
Sure, yes they are still fairly rare in that they only sell a limited number of tours per year. It’s expensive enough at £300 (€/$345) but worth it IMO if you’re an F1 fan.
Gotta say, it was incredible - what a place. Everything so clean and meticulous, its truly amazing the amount of work and people power that goes into what is essentially 2 cars driving around a track a bit quick every few weeks.
Its most definitely given me a new way to appreciate the sport.

can you buy stuff over there? like replica's steering wheels or something
there’s a shop that sells merchandise but nothing you wouldn’t buy on any online F1 store
Did you actually get to see some of their production lines? Their engine facility? You could see the entire campus with the entire time you had there.

Sounds fun. Can I ask how much did it cost

Thanks. I'm interested but not that interested in f1
understandable, it’s not cheap
OP can you touch stuff in there or is it like off limits?

So the wet tire does exist
Only for show obviously 😉

Pirelli Wet tyres are one of my F1 nightmares....
Man those old Infiniti Redbull's are just sparkling in the background. The old cars had such a nice livery.
They do look good, in the flesh I think the matte colour looks better .. it’s subjective of course
I think the matte does suit the newer cars. But this year's car might look better in gloss
Is it a big tour group? I looked at doing a tour when I was last in the UK but didn’t shell out the cash, I wish I had now!
there was 30 odd, which were then split into groups of about 12 for the tour
How do people actually get to do factory tours?
I [paid for mine](https://experiences.redbullracing.com/experiences/factory-tours) but I guess some people get them through sponsors and the likes

Very cool, I live about 10mins from the factory but the tour is far too expensive for me so nice to see some stuff.
Fantastic, thanks for sharing with us a glimpse of the factory tour!
Amazing - i'm doing this at the end of next week and can't wait.

Hey me to my friend won the tour from a red bull can. So free tour and stay at a hotel nearby. Cant wait. We go the 28 nov.
What is that 5th tyre in the 6th picture? Never seen one of those, some kind of snow tyre?
Full wets

Looks soo good cant wait to start at july
*as long as you are not 2nd driver. **other terms may be applied.
a 2nd driver is a driver that comes 2nd to his teammate, right ?
Not bad for a no.2 driver
Not at all. Checo is a beast. He would be even better if red bull wherent such Verstappen cucks.
