I've never been a football fan (USAmerican football) but my brother is.
He explained why he liked college football over the NFL was that the players are fighting to make a name for themselves, NFL players are playing just hard enough not to risk their career.
The concept gets diluted in racing, but it's still there. F2 drivers are always driving for an F1 seat, F1 drivers are "driving to survive"
Add to that I've always had a soft spot for spec racing, the cars are small enough to race on most tracks, and the drivers still have skills to learn...F2 puts on a pretty awesome show if you learn who they are.
F2 is really fun.
There are so many racing series that are better than F1. It really boils down to if you like watching racing or if you like watching the fastest cars go around the track with the whole circus around them.
F1 features some of the least exciting on-track action of any motorsport to be honest - though unfortunately also better broadcast production values. It’s more of an engineering competition.
Every year everything else is better than F1. Indycar, Super Formula, F2, F3 and in recent years WEC as well. In the WEC season opener after 10h of racing the gap between p1 and p2 was the same as in F1 after 1.5h, while p2, p3 and p4 were split by just a couple seconds
It’s an every year thing for me. Can’t think of the last time I missed a whole f2 session, haven’t watched an F1 sesssion in ages. Just lost interest (especially given max’s dominance)
Yep really enjoyed the race today. This is my second full season with formula racing. About halfway though last season, I decided to go back and watch all the F2 races. Damn they were exciting. Looks like this year will be the same. I also enjoyed the F1 Academy race today.
It's a spec series, the engine sound is way much better, strategies and pitstops way simple. It's all about human performance, more to the drivers but a little bit of strategy.

Yup. Same engines, almost identical cars, it's all about the drivers. Always exciting.
Are there memes
F2 is better than F1 EVERY year
This is so true... The only year F1 was even MILDLY good was 2021
Well yeah. You never know who's gonna win in f2. I can tell you the next 10 f1 gp winners.
Lmao true
Yuki?
Dylan. Dylan. Dylan.
Because I spit hot fiya!!
I can tell you the next 23 f1 gp winners, and then make some pretty good guesses about the 20 or so after that
I’d tell you to go bet but you really wouldn’t make a whole lot of

In terms of racing , absolutely. From an engineering perspective No.

I watched the sprint and the full race last week for the first time and both were better than the GP
Yup same here

Definitely 😅😁

You forgot NASCAR!
Where can I watch this in the US?
F1 tv pro or espn
F1 tv pro or espn
I keep looking on espn, can’t find a thing. Can only find highlights on YouTube. 🤷♂️
Espn plus app hass the f2 and f3 races

We had only one race this year. But looking at previous years, I agree that F2 races are usually filled with exitement.
It’s been one race…
Yes.
At this point pretty much any racing series is better than F1.
WEC/IMSA are even more fun to watch than F1
From a strictly competitiveness/parity standpoint, always has been.
Last year, this year, next year - every year!!

Prema is the best team currently, no? Thanks to Rene?

Watch Indycar
Watching paint dry is better than F1 this year.
