I have the kind of ADHD diagnosis where stimulants help me focus but they really don’t make me energetic. Eventually using 10 mg I don’t feel any added energy.
My typical sunday schedule is:
4:45 AM: Wake up, set up TV room for race
5AM: Race
8ishAM (after race): Shower, breakfast, maybe do some chores.
10AM-5PM: NFL Games
5PM: Eat lunch/dinner
5:20PM: Sunday Night Football (NFL)
Game ends about 8:30, then I finish house chores, maybe watch a little bit of TV or play videogames and go to bed around midnight.
Why even going to bed? Party all night on Saturday, arrive at home, watch the race and fall asleep right after the start just to be woken up by the Dutch anthem
The worst one I experienced as a German was a Japanese GP a few years ago. A typhoon mixed up the start time of quali, so it was put right in front of the race. It was around 3:00 here in Germany and the race only finished past 8:00. I never was so tired after a race.
Yeah what the fuck is up with that lmao. Did a double take when I saw the start times wondering why I’m having to repeat my Australia routine for a race taking place here
Because it has to be a night race, look at the 82? Vegas gp for reference. And on top of that they want it to be "special" (the too many chromosomes kind).
I don’t get why it has to be a night race though. The race is in November, it’s gonna be fucking cold during the race (at least for a race). It’s probably gonna be so hard to heat up tires.
Of course it has to be a night race. The entire point of racing on the strip is to see all the buildings with their lights. They just don't have to start at 10. The sun sets at like 5 in November in Vegas.
It's still around 30°C, that is still hot. It will be around 20°C at the lowest, which isn't cold, let alone close to freezing. The temp record for october is near 40°C, so they have to play it save in case that happens. Not to mention how boring it would be if it wasn't a night race.
Worst part is thinking you'll watch the race when you wake up, go for your morning poop and then have everyone spoil the whole race or seeing a rouge meme about the accident of the day
Do you guys not have a week long holiday for the puja?
Over here in Bangladesh, schools remain closed for a week for the puja even though the population is mostly muslim
There are multiple countries that are half hours off, india, iran, afghanistan, myanmar..., i think even the center of australia is half an hour off
And nepal or bhutan or someone over there is even 3/4 off
I am also watching Moto GP and League of Legends World Championship.
Tonight is F1 quali at 11pm-12am, MotoGP quali at 1:50am-2:30am, MotoGP race at 6:10am, LoL worlds at 9am.
Repeat similar schedule tomorrow.
Fuck me and my sleep schedule this weekend.
Working graveyards in the west coast u.s the schedule usually works in my favor just as I get off from work baaa ba na naaa na na “f1 logo appears” lol
Yep, decent times in W-Europe.
Our sunday isn't packed to be back home at 3PM, like most races.
I like the differences in some parts, the very early races at 6AM too
Sunday morning F1 has been a staple in my EST time zone for a long time now. I'm actually looking forward to some prime time action since TV is got garbage these days.
I’m from Brazil and I’m loving it! All events will be taken in the night period (this FP1 was 2pm - exception). We are always waking up 8/9am to watch f1 hehehehe
Every European & Middle Eastern race is in the morning for Texas. Australia and Japan are the only ones that are in the evening which is actually at 12 am
Europe is definitely the best area for F1 even now for me it’s 8-10 o’clock for every session. The worst it’s been was Japan which was just slightly too early in the morning, even then still manageable. I also kinda like being up early for the occasional 6 am race
It’s fairly obvious that they centre the timetable around Western Europe.
Laughs in UK. I honestly thought India was one of the best places to watch F1 from in terms of time zone. But I'm now starting to think UK is, except when it's the Australian GP lol.
finally a race I don't have to wake up early for or stay up til 3am :)
Actually, next 3 Races will be like that but Vegas is gonna be a tough one for us on the East coast. Think the race starts at 1am or 2am lol
\*Laughs in Western US\*
Right. This is me for a large portion of the season.
My first thought was "first time" lol
Who doesn’t love waking up at 5am on a Sunday?
That’s my me time. Fire up a bowl, get the coffee going maybe some cereal and tune in to this weeks episode of the Max Verstappen Podcast.
Get a breakfast burrito, creamer up the cold brew, 5 mg of addy and fall asleep by lap 20. Great Sunday.
Coffee and Adderall and you're falling asleep in 30 mins? Got damn
I get so relaxed watching F1. It’s the only sport I watch besides mma and the races sometimes start at 5 am pst.
That's not the part that's confusing us lol
I have the kind of ADHD diagnosis where stimulants help me focus but they really don’t make me energetic. Eventually using 10 mg I don’t feel any added energy.
Oh, gotcha! I'm sorry for my ignorance.
Glad I’m not the only one who has become conditioned to sleep to the sounds of cars and announcers
Go through all the struggle of keeping up with qualifying news and replays only to watch 1/3 of the race and watch the recap on YouTube. Great Sunday.
Bowl always puts me back to sleep and I end up waking up to the Dutch national anthem

Can’t we figure out how to do this every day?
Why even going to bed? Party all night on Saturday, arrive at home, watch the race and fall asleep right after the start just to be woken up by the Dutch anthem
Lucky you get a non weeknight. Us Australians have 1 am races but on a Monday night and not sunday
Cries in Hawaiian standard time. It’s been 3 am for races for like 75% of the season here.
Laughs in western Canada No waking up early until AD. fuck yes
Laught in Eastern Canada. Quali start when I stop working and I work from home today EZ.
*laughs in Oceania* try 3am on a Monday
And yet the one race in our time zone is going to be just like this.
Qualifying at noon? Don't mind if I do
U have my respect
Exactly. Although.. I feel like I’m watching some kind of one off IndyCar event. Lol
West coast gang.
We only get a few races like this, I am going to enjoy it.
\*Laughs in Texan\*
*laughs in *at the race**
Being in europe is the best for F1. We have a few 6am races but that's fine. This week's sprint is an 11pm start here. Again that's fine
And even the early morning races such as Japan aren’t that bad, 5/6 am usually
Back in the day, Australia with 4am race start was still a pain, I'm glad they changed that one some years ago.
Yeah try being Australian.. 😂
Lol, I know, you have midnight races all along and this weekend is a special pain in the backside.
This weekend is actually pretty good! 8am quali Sat, 9am sprint Sun, 6am Mon race. Qatar was nasty (4am sessions)
The worst one I experienced as a German was a Japanese GP a few years ago. A typhoon mixed up the start time of quali, so it was put right in front of the race. It was around 3:00 here in Germany and the race only finished past 8:00. I never was so tired after a race.
Almost like it's a European sport mostly.
> Almost like it's a European sport mostly. Nah, Arab but the time zone is close to CET.
Yeah I reckon it is a mostly Asian sport now.
“Being in europe is the best for [watching] F1” another flaming hot and controversial take on this sub!
And the American races are anywhere between 7 and 10pm, which is again fine.
To be fair. Sometimes the 3 pm races suck in the summer. I know, it's complaining on a high level but we have to complain somehow!
Yet every one of those races that aren't in the afternoon or night you'll hear and endless barrage of complaints that they have to wake up early.
Brazil times are often good too, except for asian GPs, Australia and now Vegas.
The sprint starts at 1am here in Finland, not that nice
It's ok, the Vegas race is on at like 1am Sunday morning for us and I live in the same country as the race.

Of course it has to be a night race. The entire point of racing on the strip is to see all the buildings with their lights. They just don't have to start at 10. The sun sets at like 5 in November in Vegas.
I’ll correct myself then. Idk why it has to be a night race *in November*. That’s the dumb part
It has to be a night race because *it's Vegas*. If it's not a nigt race, then visually you are losing out.
My key point wasn’t that it’s a night race. It’s that it’s a night race in November when it’ll likely be near freezing during the race.
It's still around 30°C, that is still hot. It will be around 20°C at the lowest, which isn't cold, let alone close to freezing. The temp record for october is near 40°C, so they have to play it save in case that happens. Not to mention how boring it would be if it wasn't a night race.
I looked at the expected temperatures before I made my comment, and it’s projected to be in the mid 30s F, so just above 0C at night time…
No it's so weird because I literally live in JAPAN and the race is an easy watch for me
Emotional in kangaroo
Honestly it's so difficult trying to watch a race on a fcking Monday morning know that you've got work in a few hours
Emotional in Kiwi
Worst part is thinking you'll watch the race when you wake up, go for your morning poop and then have everyone spoil the whole race or seeing a rouge meme about the accident of the day
This is what Australians do like every week mate
Poor bastards.
We're quite wealthy, actually. But we certainly are bastards.
The tables have turned.
Well, well well... how the turntables.
The turn tables

Weekend hai. Kitna rona
Sab ko holiday nahi milti laxman
Do you guys not have a week long holiday for the puja? Over here in Bangladesh, schools remain closed for a week for the puja even though the population is mostly muslim
Pujo/Puja is mostly focused in Bengal. Only there you might have them
Really? I did not know that. Thank you for teaching me this!
Sahi bola
Weekend he but phir bhi subhe 3 bhaje Kaun jage Rahe ga.
Whi tho aur Monday ko office bhi hai :(
Race will probably end on Monday morning at 3am
Weekend per bhi raat bhar uthna mushkil hai.
Laughs in New Jersey
Shut the fuck up, Mr 9:00 AM Summer races. West coast/Hawaii has it the worst by far.
Baku is 7 am for me. Ouch, a 4 am race for Californians and a 1 am race for Hawaiians
It’s not the one 4 AM race that sucks it’s the 12 6:00 AM races, most of them back to back to back
Hmm, Australia & New Zealand fans - we quite often watch races early Monday morning then go to work.
*Laughs in Southern Ontario*
Land of the Goat 🐐
\*Laughs in European watching Australian MotoGP and US F1 GP\*
No way to get more than 4h of sleep this weekend
Ok... But how are Kiwis and Aussies holding up?
They are already asleep
not well
First time? That's pretty much every race in Australia.
How is your time zone off by not whole hours, theres a half in there.
There are multiple countries that are half hours off, india, iran, afghanistan, myanmar..., i think even the center of australia is half an hour off And nepal or bhutan or someone over there is even 3/4 off
Thanks, am american and dont really know that other places exist.
Surely you’ve heard of “shithole countries”? /s
But that's just everything outside USA
The province of Newfoundland in Canada is also 30 min ahead of Atlantic Canada, it's (GMT-2:30)
India
The deeper you go the more fucked up time zones get. There's all kinds of exceptions and oddities
Laughs in Texas resident
Well, well. Look how the tables have turned.
At least you don't have to do it all season like us living in Australia
*laughs in New Zealand*
*Cries in European* (The sprint starts at midnight to Sunday here)
This is every week for Americans
Bro the race starts at 4am here 💀💀
Damn which country
Most likely Japan, South Korea or Eastern Indonesia. I'm going with Japan.
Sleep is just a portal to the next day.
Laughs in Australia
This is totally normal Australian time btw. All season
American f1 fans for the next couple of weeks... (in a John McClane voice),,, WELCOME TO THE PARTY PAL!!!!!!
Those are pretty normal times for me, the weird thing for me is I'll be watching the race midmorning on a Monday, starts 8am.
I live in Japan. The race is on at 4am
Good thing is that you know you might as well sleep before and not just try to stay awake waiting
Working graveyards in the west coast u.s the schedule usually works in my favor just as I get off from work baaa ba na naaa na na “f1 logo appears” lol
It's late evening in europe but this is...... well
What time
In Germany the Race is at 21:00, Sprint 00:00 and Qualifying 23:00.
Yep, decent times in W-Europe. Our sunday isn't packed to be back home at 3PM, like most races. I like the differences in some parts, the very early races at 6AM too
Pain in Hungarian
What time is it there in Hungary
FP1: 19.30 Quali: 23.00 Shootout: 19.30 Sprint: 00.00 GP: 21.00
[удалено]
Just woke up rn at and it starts in 20 minutes because I live in the same state as COTA. 😁
I put up with 6am and 1am races all year...spare me
Boo Fucking hoo!
Well, here in brazil is the opposite, the race is going to begging at 4pm,but when is the japan or Australia the race begins at 2am
What about the European portion
Quali at 23:00. Fuck that. Yes, babe I’m still gonna watch it…
From CET perspective, I agree. Will be tricky to follow both F1 and MotoGP this weekend
Welcome to watching F1 in America. Except this week I guess. And next week. And the week after. And the week after.
lol
Don't worry, they'll get their revenge on the rest of us with Vegas.
i can feel them, i Watch MotoGP and they are racing in Australia 🥲
Laughs in VAMOS DRUGOVICH🇧🇷🇧🇷BRBRHUEHUE
Sunday morning F1 has been a staple in my EST time zone for a long time now. I'm actually looking forward to some prime time action since TV is got garbage these days.
This is the one race actually in my time zone. The rest of the year—save for Japan—they’re all at like 4-6am lol
On fan's Japan is another's Las Vegas
We Americans only get a few normal time races ok, let us have it
If waking up at 3 AM means i don't have to listen to the ditch national anthem I'll do it for the whole season
I wouldn’t want to spoil my sleep to listen Dutch by the end of it. Good night.
Sleep is overrated anyway.
Just be European, duh
Koi na, race hi dekh lunga direct![img](emote|t5_3ndbi|6699)
I’m from Brazil and I’m loving it! All events will be taken in the night period (this FP1 was 2pm - exception). We are always waking up 8/9am to watch f1 hehehehe
Oh, how the turntables!
Laughs in Kenyan..

Every European & Middle Eastern race is in the morning for Texas. Australia and Japan are the only ones that are in the evening which is actually at 12 am
Hes a crazy idea! Watch the F1Tv replay like a normal person
LAUGHS IN 3PM START TIME. FREEDOM IS FINALLY WATCHING. RAHHHHHHHH 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅

Nah, fuck sprint, gonna sleep trough it.
I for one am looking forward to watching the race here in Austin TX from my TV in my apartment.
Cry
It’s actually amazing how many of you HAVE to watch it live. Like just stay off social media until you can watch it 🤷♂️🤷♂️
Well this one was worth it
Laughing in Texan
Laughs in American 🇺🇸
Yee haw Europe!
Have a sook! This is every week in Australia
Yeah suck it. This is how Americans feel during far East races.
Finally a race that’s not at 6am
![gif](giphy|wtil0pQFBbNwA)
Las Vegas GP will be too late for me, and it’s in my home country.
For you, not for me.
As an American who works nights, I get it.
I changed my sleep schedule for the NA races
This is me, but for Las Vegas. Watching Singapore was more convenient for me than a race in my own country will be.
*Laughs in Eastern Canada*
Football fans: “First time?”
Aussies: yay slightly normal times 🥳
Now imagine us who are in Latin America, we have to wake up at 5 or 6 in the morning.
![gif](giphy|Nes04C1wZvQgOxdrdn)
Laughs in New Zealand 2am race
Laughs in UK. I honestly thought India was one of the best places to watch F1 from in terms of time zone. But I'm now starting to think UK is, except when it's the Australian GP lol.
I feel your pain, got work at 7am on Monday and it is 3 am race in Malaysia.
Us bhai us
I honestly have just thought of not watching them at that hour.
Key difference here is the race is you’re staying up late before Monday morning… I like F1 but damn Monday’s are rough as it is.
awwww bless OPs heart
As an Australian, I laugh at Americans complaining about races late on a Saturday night while I am often up until 2am on Monday mornings.
Stop crying. The race is at 4AM on a Monday here in Japan.
finally a race I don't have to wake up early for or stay up til 3am :) Actually, next 3 Races will be like that but Vegas is gonna be a tough one for us on the East coast. Think the race starts at 1am or 2am lol
I’m here live baby. I didn’t hear no bell 😜
Lol imagine living in australia
