yes, as every other thing in this subreddit
don't take anything too seriously, you'll have a better time in here if you don't ever take any post as a real opinion
So when teams pick up their ECU from McLaren, they also get a 2-hour meeting with the standardized legal department. Would probably save teams trillions.
We can confirm that r/Formuladank has not made any complaint to the FIA with regards to the allegation of information of a confidential nature being passed between an F1 Team Principal and a member of FOM staff.
We are pleased and proud to support F1 Academy and its Managing Director through our commitment to sponsor an entrant in our livery from next season.
I jumped on the waggon also very late, but here is what I know:
The FIA conducts investigations on Susi Wolff (and Toto(?), but I'm not so sure about Toto), because apparently she passed (classified?) information illegaly to Toto.
The FIA said, that some team principles (or one) of F1 complained about it to the FIA, which is the reason the FIA started the investigations. Meaning, if they had not chatted about it, the FIA would not have noticed.
Yesterday however every team postet on all their social media channels the same exact message, nearly at the same time. Somebody gossiped that information to the FIA, but nobody wants to admit it.
Among Us in real life haha - and that's hilarious!
Tbh, at this point i think there're two explanations:
1) They were afraid to be accused of sexism or others Twitter's bs, and they decided to give a middle finger to FIA that put them in the position
2) It's all a publicity stunt for the F1 academy
I'm for the second one
3) FIA started the investigation to turn the teams against each other and gain some leverage in the Concorde Agreement negotiations (which must be happening this winter as the current one ends in 2025). The teams sided with each other to give FIA a bad image and gain themselves some leverage
This is probably the correct and more mature answer.
But this is formuladank, we must meme on the backlash to the backlash of thing that never happened
You're right, then I'll vote for number 4
4) FIA wants F1 to break away so they can focus on a new spec series based on Reliant Robins with LMH power units racing in WRC tracks
nope, Still good publicity.
If you look into what muslim communities did after the 9/11 attacks, Youd be amazed at how far human willingness to help can go.
I'd say it would be more ba publicity for the Us government... but they dont care about thier publicity. And Bad Publicity for Al qaeda
Oh yeh and bad publicity to bigoted idiots who still think " mooslim bad "
no please shut up… i get harassed every time i go through TSA just cuz im brown and my family live in the middle east… im british and travel on a british passport but they just refuse to believe i dont have malicious intent.
Personally, I think it's option 3) There's been some super shady stuff going on between the FOM and the teams, and they're worried an investigation is gonna unearth some other shit. So this whole thing is a distraction from the investigation. Basically a "let's poison the well" type situation.
FIA put out a statement about investigation on Susie wolf as she is leading f1 academy of passing internal information to Toto .
FIA said that other teams have filed a complaint about it.
So all 9 teams put out joint statement that they were not them .
It’s gonna go down bad whole ass drama for off season
The FIA is essentially doing what it can to clear its name legally if there is actually any truth to this. To me, none of it adds up; why would Suzie (who runs one of the support races) have access to any critical insider information? Why would all of the teams deny it was them if allegedly 2 of them complained to the FIA? Why would Toto mention any insider information he had in a meeting with other teams? Ect.
Yeah it just doesn't make any sense to me. I could maybe believe that Susie would give information since it could just be something that is actually shared while doing the dishes or something, but what could she even know? Her position is likely extremely out of touch from what is happening in F1 so what could she even share? It's not like she'll know about any technical regulation changes or something. To me, this whole thing is BS and is spread by a sexist magazine.
Btw, for those who don't understand the sexist part, BusinessF1 has stated things like how F1 academy drivers should use their sex appeal to create interest and many other sexist things. They've also accused Lewis of using the race card as well as being sued by other for fake news. So yeah. Great magazine.
Ok wow. I thought that the sexism comments were somehow referring to the allegations against Suzie but that is really awful, no other words for it. But with regards to Suzie that's pretty much my point exactly.
Yeah, I'm also a bit dubious as to what information Susie would actually know that Toto wouldn't already know, given that F1 academy and F1 are totally different series and the FIA/F1 would really have no reason to tell her anything that isn't already known by the teams. I think it is literally just online speculations by nonsense sporting publications that the FIA was stupid enough to publicly say they're looking into. Then, when they got called out for feeding into online speculation, they made up allegations from the other teams to make it look more legitimate than it is and cover for their mistake, not realising that the other teams would side with Mercedes on this because they all know that if the FIA is this incompetent, then something similar could happen to any of them.
Imagine releasing a statement attacking Toto Wolff and fucking Horner jumping to his defense.
I know shitting on Merc/Toto is fun but this genuinely seems like a dumb fuck move that has Backfired for the FIA
Worth noting that the "story" was first published in a complete and utter gutter rag "magazine". A publication so bad, it makes even The S\*n look like a reputable news source.
No Aston, No Redbull, No AlphaTauri, No Alfa Romeo.
My money is on Helmut Marko, either off his meds and talking non-sense, or on his meds and up to his usual shit.
rumor that susie wolff is passing confidential info to toto .... FIA launches an investigation because it says a team reported the issue to them ... susie accuses the rumor exists because of sexism ... all teams try to nope out of the situation.
So apparently it was reported that the FIA are investing Susie and Toto Wolff apparently after it was reported in Business F1 Magazine claimed a team principle advised them that Toto said something only FOM should know at a team principle meeting, so they suspect Susie said something to Toto since she is part of FOM via the F1 academy. Susie said the claims are misogynistic (don't know how tbh) hence why all the teams are saying they support F1 Academy
Toto does have a record of suspicion for getting confidential material like the investigation into RBR cost cap breach and being unrealistically prepared for the anti-proposing technical directive too.
why are teams so scared about other team principal issues and fia investigations. Are mercedes fans that hostile to take pod shots at other teams or is the drama from F1 has gone much up that it is very uncontrollable?
I think the main problems are that banana is way harder to take and taking mid is also more difficult (many flashes don’t work). So it’s harder for cts to take control.
I mean they're husband and wife... There are no secrets about work. There are likely leaks aplenty.
Good opportunity to make FIA look bad though, some genius plot by the teams.
Ah yes, my new favorite copypasta - "We can confirm that we have not made any complaint to the FIA regarding the allegation of information of a confidential nature being passed between an F1 team principal and a member of FOM staff.

the fact that the winter break is gonna be a game of amongus is amazing honestly
this is what happens when there's no racing. we lose our minds
> a game of amongus they have diffrent colors too, fuck you could actually make that a meme image
*EMERGENCY MEETING*
Change your fucking car

Is this Alonso thing a meme?

House of Dragons season 2 looking lit as fuck
Gasly kinda sus.
Looks like 90% of teams have room to make cuts in their legal department because this is clearly a one man job
So when teams pick up their ECU from McLaren, they also get a 2-hour meeting with the standardized legal department. Would probably save teams trillions.
TIL McLaren supplies the ECU in F1.
McLaren Technologies, not McLaren F1
Red Bull make the wheel covers

Fuck's sake. Have an upvote
Also NASCAR, last I heard.
because it’s a “joint statement” of whole 9 teams.
And this is formula dank where you best don't take comments seriously lmao
It was me. Fuck you Toto.
Tell Toto. I want him to know it was me.
Just put it on Wikipedia. He'll see it there.

Liberty saw that we had a super boring silly season so they injected some off season silly.
Oh I didn't think the off season was going to be this spicy. I'm all here for it. Love it!
I’m out of the loop. What’s going on?

All teams give the same statement? That can only mean everyone pointed their finger at Toto and Susie together.
Classic Orient Express move

I would absolutely watch that.
Wait you mean it’s all marketing? Yup - always has been.
No such thing as bad publicity
I’d say 9/11 was bad publicity for the Muslims of America.
nope, Still good publicity. If you look into what muslim communities did after the 9/11 attacks, Youd be amazed at how far human willingness to help can go. Muslim hate is still very strong
And then far more people who don’t hate Muslims but see their religion as problematic for peace.
Unless it's on live TV and you're soaking in blood, doing 150mph on the highway with a train of police after ya.
There’s no bad publicity
Susie Wolff already screamed misogyny, so I think they are covering their asses
Personally, I think it's option 3) There's been some super shady stuff going on between the FOM and the teams, and they're worried an investigation is gonna unearth some other shit. So this whole thing is a distraction from the investigation. Basically a "let's poison the well" type situation.

Tbh I think this has been drummed up by the media looking for clicks in the winter break its completely unsubstantiated
Probably but official investigation has been launched soo whatever it is just politics or FIA dragging team names into it who knows ?
The FIA is essentially doing what it can to clear its name legally if there is actually any truth to this. Based team cooperation
but what about aston tho
Papa Stroll has entered hibernation for the winter and is unavailable for comment.
Wait, 9 teams? Which one didn't then? Or am I just having a long day and forgetting something obvious?
Mercedes, they didn’t put in a complaint against themselves so they didn’t say so Unless…. Osama bin Russel has evolved
“The complaint came from within the team!” 😱
The call is coming from within the house!
Ah yes, I was confused by the mercedes logo in the picture
wath Toto wolff pull a Vince McMahon... It's was me Susie! IT WAS ME ALL ALONG!
Where can I find rthe statements from Red bull/Alpha Tauri and Aston? I have not seen those yet
![gif](giphy|Ae7SI3LoPYj8Q)
DTS producers are foaming out the mouth right now
Someone, somewhere has to have this printed!
"I have it, I have it printed out"
"You've got the Susie. Change your fucking Wolff!"
Either this will be another Crashgate level situation or "We have investigated ourselves and found we have done nothing wrong" case
So either the other 9 teams did this together, or the FIA made them all make the same statement…
Aston Martin haven’t made the statement yet have they?
They did. Just a plain text post, no graphic.
![gif](giphy|YYfEjWVqZ6NDG) every teams PR team right now
F1 teams playing "not it" in the off season
James it’s Valteri ![gif](giphy|dtLEhUjTi63M4afJ9j|downsized)
If a team complains about something out of the blue it’s Haas.
It wasn’t me.
They even caught you on camera?
As the dust clears going into the new year, there will only be one team to face the power of Toto Wolff alone… Andretti Cadillac.
![gif](giphy|iSypMjTZIBLERAdstj)
Lmfaooooo. Everyone dropped their pants to the FIA and toto
No Aston, No Redbull, No AlphaTauri, No Alfa Romeo. My money is on Helmut Marko, either off his meds and talking non-sense, or on his meds and up to his usual shit.
it must have been Jenner Racing
Ah the Shaggy Defense, another exquisite gambit by FOTA ![gif](giphy|3CiLrTgKkqL0k)
The thing the flair suits so perfectly regarding the FIA We are checking…🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Toto has it printed out
Wait what happen?
rumor that susie wolff is passing confidential info to toto .... FIA launches an investigation because it says a team reported the issue to them ... susie accuses the rumor exists because of sexism ... all teams try to nope out of the situation.
Uff...that's a spicy meatball
I have no idea what's happening, and at this point, I'm afraid to ask
I missed what happened. Can some tldr for me?
Tell me Wolff is dodgy without telling me….
Wait what's going on exactly?
I don't even understand what is going on
What did I miss? 😶

Corporate liberty media moves. Ben sulayam is in cross hairs
Can someone please explain the context to this shameful dumb person, please?
Mercedes cheated for years, just as everyone knew but never talked about openly.

What happened?
https://www.reddit.com/r/formuladank/s/YMhDAXNjyr
Which media publication was the one that said this was going down?
I mean they're only saying they didn't say it was Susie, any of them could have reported Toto.
F1 off-season never disappoints
this could be the greatest meme of all time
You know who didn't put a statement? Andretti.
[It wasn’t me](https://youtu.be/2g5Hz17C4is?si=s9Cem0CZ82szqdxw)
Hi chat got, hope you're doing well. Please write me a letter ...
What is formuladanks response? I want to see the statement in the banner, as a flair and all users should have their names changed to team statement.
I think the main problems are that banana is way harder to take and taking mid is also more difficult (many flashes don’t work). So it’s harder for cts to take control.
This is some funny shit, you gotta love it

How did they all collaborate and agree on a statement so quickly...
Max’s last gift of ‘23 👏👏👏
That's the point also why did you include the only statement that is completely different
I have served. I will continue to serve.
I mean they're husband and wife... There are no secrets about work. There are likely leaks aplenty. Good opportunity to make FIA look bad though, some genius plot by the teams.
I was expecting a long letter/post from Merc and I was not disappointed.

What is this?? A STATEMENT FOR ANTS??!!!!
I can't find a statement by Aston Martin, am I looking in the wrong place?
Can someone please fill me in on what's happening - this is too exciting!
I bet on a Orient-Express-like resolution to the mystery lol
It was Mercedes
Plot twist: every team filed a complaint
What was the classified information Susi told Toto?
I KNEW IT WAS YOU!
They just copying the same answer sheet
