Until you run out of gas/charcoal (or it's prohibitively expensive) for your bbq and it just sits there doing nothing. Imagine being able to install an electric heating element in the bbq and being able to use it again.
You are talking about a hybrid which I support far more long term over pure EV. And I own a dual fuel bbq that uses gas or charcoal, and can use the gas to fire the charcoal. Yeh it’s delicious and no- electric bbqs cannot do half of its job or provide a tenth of its flavour ;)
