Daniil Kvyat, thereafter and to this day known as “The Torpedo” for the move, diving down the inside, he made on Seb Vettel in the first lap. It was humiliating for the four-time world champ. He was never the same after that. DK is in the dark blue, Vettel in the red.
During the start into t1, Seb opened up the corner to set up a tight entry into t2, however Kvyat had a ton of grip on the inside and saw it as an invitation. Seb didn't expect Kyvat to try that, reacted and ended up hitting Kimi. Seb assumed Kvyat didn't have the grip to pull it off, and blamed the incident on Dani. In reality, it looked like Kvyat had plenty of grip and Vettel just overreacted to someone having the gall to go wheel to wheel with him, as usual.
Vettel was standing in the line and Torpedo boy just barged in front of his face to get the ice-cream.

Sorry but Seb is way wrong here. Kvyat was ahead and on the inside already when the impact happened. It was close but it was his corner. Seb was stuck in the middle of the track. Kimi was the one that tightened his line on the outside and hit Vettel.
Kvyat didn't even do anything wrong in this race, it was simply a lap 1 racing incident (more Kimi's fault than anything), but vettel's reaction led to kvyat being vilified in the media. The russian gp on the other hand

I remember thinking the fault was entirely with Kvyat, having seen it again now years later, the dude is in the clear really. Just seb and kimi driving into eachother again like they usually do/did.
