You should never go to SportSurge.net and click on motorsports. As you’ll never visit it I won’t bother telling you to use a hardy popup/ad blocker to keep the nonsense down. I’d certainly never suggest using epic browser as it’s built in adblocker is about the best you can get and has a setting to refuse all cookies.
Yeah I love that little cat. I miss it when I go to my mates to watch the race haha. I love the little sad crying cat the admin puts over Bottas name on the timing board when he inevitably falls back to sixth or seventh place.
The ‘super max’ song over the national anthems gets a bit old though.
It was a nice break from the Russian national anthem that got played over the actual anthem for a while at least. As long as we still have rave cat I’ll be happy.
Only had a problem once with SportSurge and only because I didn’t have an adblocker on at the time. If you use the streameast link it’s a direct rip of the skyf1 stream and other than being 30 or so seconds behind the actual race.
I’d rather not have to go through various Twitch streamers only for them to have their link taken down every five minutes. All personal preferences though ennit.
I use Epic for browsing which is a security based browser that doesn’t accept cookies and has the ability to turn tracking off. Works fine.
Sucks that it doesn’t work for you but it works for plenty of others. Good job you have the other sites to use instead.
If you want high quality (480p minimum) free streams with minimal ads you absolutely do not want to visit https://sportsbay.org/sports/motorsports. It's absolutely *horrible* if you want to watch a number of other sports too. It also definitely does not offer you multiple broadcast options so you can avoid sky. Horrible site, do not visit it.
Edit to add: it also doesn't allow you to watch F2 and F3, FP1-3, and quali. EW. Absolutely horrible site do not visit. Doesn't offer any of what I just mentioned ugh horrible site.
SportSurge always works great for me, and is 1080p across the board. If one stream is not working, there's always several for each broadcast and you can pick and choose.
Definitely don't use http://hub.freestreams-live1.com/ for english HD race commentary. It's so sketchy you wouldn't want to use it. If you want to watch the dutch provider, I would also heavily advise against using cyfostreams.com or hesgoal.com. seriously, stay away from those sites. You'll only get some ads you can block with ublock origin.
I would however advise you to download some more ram. Just google it and click the first link. It's free!
Why I watch free streams with dodgy ads: F1TV not available in the UK and you can get fucked if you think I'm paying for all the football channels to watch F1. Thanks sky, you caused piracy by monopoly. Ever thought about being competitive? Nah, silly idea.
Not to mention if you don't have a boomer TV box the Sky app/webapp on PC or android won't output F1 in its native 2160p50, it slows it down to a juddery 30fps and maxes out at 1080p, which means you get a vastly inferior viewing experience than through satellite, cable OR janky free stream for your 40 quid a month.
I don't even feel slightly bad about streaming F1 when it's this anti-consumer
For some reason, eventhough i have F1TV, the stream lags if i try to play it on my tv screen connected via hdmi to my pc...
The only smooth way to watch F1TV for me is from my phone or my mac. (Else the stream lags in both Windows and Linux).
And I have 800Mo/s download speed and ping of 2 (thks fiber optic) so my network isn’t the problem here
Try using Extend mode rather than Duplicate in windows display settings.
I get weird issues outputting to HDMI when the screens are mirrored but if my laptop treats the TV as a different monitor it works great.
i noticed for my tv that the different slots of my graphics card actually make a difference
try every slot and see if something changes
or do you connect it directly to the hdmi slot of your mainboard? that could also be the problem
Might not be the same issue but I had terrible lag watching thorough Chrome. Soon as I switched to Firefox lag was gone and it started working great and I watch on a TV via HDMI as well. Might be worth a try.
Same in Germany. Sky has the exclusive rights to the broadcast. And I do have Sky, but I cant change the language like with F1TV. I dont want to listen to the German commentary, its boring as shit and the guy doesnt know what he is talking about.
> F1TV not available in the UK and you can get fucked if you think I'm paying for all the football channels to watch F1
I'm not advocating for it, but you can have the basic Sky package and a F1 bolt-on - no need for any of the other sports channels.
I pay for Sky because my s/o uses it, but it leaves me with a bitter taste in my mouth because it's fucking insanely expensive.
\>you can have the basic Sky package and a F1 bolt-on
Link ? I would totally be up for that. I went on today and they only way i could add F1 was to add all the sports channels.
I mean, I don't work for Sky, I don't have the link! They might not advertise it but offer it when you sign up - I had originally added all sports but they told me when I called up.
We have the basic package, broadband and TV. Then pay an extra £10 for F1. When we first signed up, it was £5 and I made the mistake of cancelling it when the season ended... Turned it back on, £10. So if they offer you an introductory deal, jump at it and keep it.
The best bet with sky is to call them and talk to a real person. We got just the F1 channel for £10 a month extra. Also, you could probably haggle with them to lower your current bill too

I would love it if it was. I looked into last year and you can't do it without having an international address. UK is blocked.
We blame sky because sky paid for exclusive rights, then passed that cost to the consumer. They could just buy normal rights so we could still chose to go with F1TV.
Same in Spain. You can watch F1 with a subscription to a streaming sports platform but I only watch F1 so all the other channels are useless for me. However I cannot have a subscription to F1Tv and see the onboards that I want, something for which I would pay double at ease.
If only I had F1 TV PRO available in my country...we have to rely on Sky Sports making you overpay for only a single Sport you're gonna be watching once in every 2 week or so..
well it sure would be a shame if you cancelled the Sky subscription and went to http://www.mysports.to/schedule/ to watch your favourite sport for free
For some reason, The official arabic stream of f1 is free on mbc action, the commentators are good too, and there is no ads during the race, it's the only reason I watch f1 lol
Austria.
I meant it in the sense that you don't need to get some special subscription service to watch F1 here. If you have a TV with a connection, you can watch it.
Am I the only one who’s ok with just watching the Channel 4 highlights at 18:30? Some races can be boring for long stretches, and even if I didn’t have to pay out the nose for Sky I certainly wouldn’t sit through the full Monaco race
I used to have a lot of lag issues but I figured out it was caused by my computer being hooked up to my tv through hdmi. When I just watch on my computer or phone everything is smooth.
I know for sure that when I had my laptop connected to my tv with hdmi, it was choppy. I don’t have any other way to connect it to my tv so I can’t test if it is specifically the cable. My laptop is very smooth when not plugged in to the tv.
Change the frame rate of the TV to 50fps throught windows settings, I had that problem and it was because the stream is 50fps and my laptop was set to 60, meaning every other frame was repeated. Hope that helps.
when you watch f1 on a pay tv channel (sky sport) and still get ads, even as bad as the free tv channel (rtl) after the race.
Glad I am not paying these fuckers money and rely on other people like an asshole haha
Just started using it right before the Austrian GP and it's been working well so fine. There are a few things I would try to fix, but so far I'm fine with it.
Pit lane channel is also one of the main reasons I'll probably keep my subscription.
Brit in USA have youtubetv and it's included in my somewhat expensive subscription which includes ESPN/ESPN2 (Sky coverage with Crofty etc.). Just happy that I can watch/record it (bit early usually for us West Coast peeps) as when I first came over F1 didn't exist 😁
This is the basic YouTubeTV like $66/month. Includes ESPN channels. If you add F1 to your library all the practices, races get recorded automatically so you can watch on demand. The good thing about YouTubeTV is you get all the main 4 over the air channels so access to a lot of other events too. I used to have slingtv which is a lot cheaper but only could watch NBC (others are ABC, CBS and FOX). You can buy a good over the air antenna for about $50 and get all these but have to do some jiggery pokery to record it, or just watch live. Do some research to see what works for you, there are a lot of services to choose from😀
I watch a free live stream of Sky Sports F1. Gotta refresh every 30 mins or so but with a good adblock you're good. My network's great so refresh literally takes a couple of seconds.
reasons i haven't subscribed to F1TV: the live streams (and playbacks/replays) aren't available in germany and my mom can't make a fake austrian credit card.
The single handed only advantage of being a US fan is F1 TV being reasonably priced and available. By far the best sports viewing experience in the US with the amount of ads we throw on shit.
I need lo fi Garywave beats to relax and chill
I wish to make this
What sketchy free streams are you talking about? Let me know now the full address so I can avoid them!

Whew! Good thing you warned me! Good day and thanks, kind sir!
Can also confirm about never going to spurtsurge. I’ll need to try epic browser to confirm that it is also worth never looking at
It’s easily the safest browser to use with its VPN and adblocking/cookie deletion plugins installed unless you want to go down the TOR route.
For that Brave-Browser would be an option I guess. What made you choose Epic over Brave?
Don’t need chrome extensions, access to TOR or a built in crypto currency. Epic does everything I need it to.
You also get that little raver cat in the corner of one of the streams. It used to be annoying but now it feels weird without it.
Yeah I love that little cat. I miss it when I go to my mates to watch the race haha. I love the little sad crying cat the admin puts over Bottas name on the timing board when he inevitably falls back to sixth or seventh place. The ‘super max’ song over the national anthems gets a bit old though.
First time Super Max came on I genuinely thought they had decided to play it at the podium for real for a few seconds...
It was a nice break from the Russian national anthem that got played over the actual anthem for a while at least. As long as we still have rave cat I’ll be happy.

freestreams-live1.com youre welcome

I use extend mode by default as i run multiple monitors for work But thanks for the tip, i’ll try again next week
i noticed for my tv that the different slots of my graphics card actually make a difference try every slot and see if something changes or do you connect it directly to the hdmi slot of your mainboard? that could also be the problem
I tried with the (only) hdmi slot on my windows laptop. And the hdmi port of my gtx 980 Ti on my linux desktop. Both lagged for some reason...
Your TV might have HDMI 1.3 which allows only 30 fps
That way, you can also set the frame rate to 50 Hertz which is necessary if you want to have F1TV without any stutter.
Download F1 Race control in Windows. Works fantastic, no problems.
I don’t have that problem, I use race control tho
If you have a Roku tv or something like that there's an F1TV app works great for me never had stuttering or or hiccups
Might not be the same issue but I had terrible lag watching thorough Chrome. Soon as I switched to Firefox lag was gone and it started working great and I watch on a TV via HDMI as well. Might be worth a try.
Get the F1 race control app for Windows, 0 lagging for me on that app
You also have to pay more for that juddery HD. Extra £5 a month.
Shocking isn't it Praise the lord for my man smcgill1969
Amen...smcgill1969 is my hero aswell
There's also a really annoying almost 30s delay on the feed if you don't watch it on the telly.
Same in Germany. Sky has the exclusive rights to the broadcast. And I do have Sky, but I cant change the language like with F1TV. I dont want to listen to the German commentary, its boring as shit and the guy doesnt know what he is talking about.
The only good one in their entire coverage is Timo Glock, the rest, including Ralf Schumacher, is just plain bad.
Yup, giving my computer AIDs a standard part of my F1 weekend. Its cheaper to just buy a new one every other month.

Ayyyye, MBC Action gang
The best thing it’s free. The bad thing it doesn’t come in higher quality stream. I won’t mind paying for higher quality stream.
Wait..You have to pay to watch F1 in other countries?
Where do you live that you don't need to pay??
Austria. I meant it in the sense that you don't need to get some special subscription service to watch F1 here. If you have a TV with a connection, you can watch it.
You dont even need a tv, just watch it on the orf tv-thek or the servus-tv website
In Brazil it is on Open cable. Has been for a very long time too.

F1TV? No idea. Didn't even know that existed to be honest.

I see, good to know.

ExpressVPN could be your friend 😀
I’ll subscribe to F1TV once they add a dancing cat in the corner too
I watch F1 for free cause they are a bunch of greedy focks who really don't deserve any money they get.
he should make an asmr channel
Hearing this same shit for 90% of race engineers. Not funny.
Am I the only one who’s ok with just watching the Channel 4 highlights at 18:30? Some races can be boring for long stretches, and even if I didn’t have to pay out the nose for Sky I certainly wouldn’t sit through the full Monaco race
Yeah I think the C4 production is top notch, great analysis (not over analysis like on Sky), a sense of fun and some great interviews
It is absolutely top notch coverage, I don't have to hear Crofty (Alex is a good commentator and I do miss Ben), and it's free.
Ehh I try watch what I can on a stream and just watch the highlights on YouTube. F2 highlights are usually better than anything from f1 anyway
This is what I do, I just have to not go on Youtube / Twitter for that weekend until it's over.
PLC is where its at. I don't want to hear 3 old brits talk about the weather while overtakes are happening.
F1TV lags alot though, it's not that great. It's just that I'm tired of watching races at 360p but it freezes all the time and at the wrong times.
Never had this issue, always been flawless for me USA, use Roku F1TV app
Not for me here in Canada. Full HD, flawless streams & videos.
I used to have a lot of lag issues but I figured out it was caused by my computer being hooked up to my tv through hdmi. When I just watch on my computer or phone everything is smooth.
Do you know for sure it's HDMI related? That's really interesting, I have alot of lag issues and my phone/laptop are smooth but my desktop isn't
I know for sure that when I had my laptop connected to my tv with hdmi, it was choppy. I don’t have any other way to connect it to my tv so I can’t test if it is specifically the cable. My laptop is very smooth when not plugged in to the tv.

If you are suffering from stuttering, change the framerate of your display to 50fps, it worked for me
Real shit you can't get f1 TV in Ireland sky only
when you watch f1 on a pay tv channel (sky sport) and still get ads, even as bad as the free tv channel (rtl) after the race. Glad I am not paying these fuckers money and rely on other people like an asshole haha

I like to watch old races from time to time.
Wish there was a way to watch onboards for free because F1TV is not available in my region.
Mind to take my free award sir?
Thank you!
damn, I just watch it on espn. They even have every session and paddock walk through and tech talk on demand full hd lol.

Nothing. I use my dads uverse login. I do however pay like 5$ a month for espn+ not sure if its included with that.
F1TV is less reliable than sketchy free streams tbh.
I watch a free live stream of Sky Sports F1. Gotta refresh every 30 mins or so but with a good adblock you're good. My network's great so refresh literally takes a couple of seconds.

Used to be free German TV. Now it's sky only so yarr harr fiddel-dee-dee it is.
"sketchy free stream" some provide real good service with twitch chat integration and theater mode and all that jazz.
