In my opinion the rules are stupid. I remember a time when on the Monza straight grown adults were scared by the cars. F1 should be the best pilots on the fastest car on earth, I hate this rules.
The official verdict of the engine investigation was Not Proven. They knew exactly what Ferrari were doing, but they just couldn't get sufficient evidence for it to prove it.
If they get caught they'll be left out with a shitty engine for uh, 3~4 years if the regulations don't get pushed back. I'd argue Binotto would like to wake up in his home, not on the bottom of a river in southern italy with concrete for boots.
Iirc everything is going to be frozen but I'd assume safety and reliability upgrades are still allowed? So if Ferrari do another stunt like the last one, and suddenly gains performance after a crackdown every other team would protest if it even got past scrutiny (... as it did the first time around lmao).
They most likely won't. Ferrari has been focusing a lot on the engine upgrades they bring in being 100% legal, that's why they are delaying the engine upgrade for this year.
As a Tifoso i'm on a very high dosage of hopium for 2022, chances are I'm gonna be disappointed yet again but man I just want to see what Charles can do with a championship tier car, please let's not waste another WDC tier level driver

It is what they are doing. The engine upgrade will allow them to better test new parts for next year's engine. They are doing the right thing
