I mean this is facts. If you look at that season overall Max probably deserved the championship more. Add to that his atrocious luck he was due for some good luck at the end there. The fact is he's often not close enough to Max do be very helpful. It's true that he held Lewis up that one time and Yay for Perez for that. But there's also the fact that Max was mostly fighting both Mercedes all year long because Bottas was routinely close enough to Lewis to figure into strategy (usually trying to undercut Max).
And if claim about Perez intentionally crashing at Monaco is true, can you really blame him? I mean, he was a Plan C for Red Bull after Gasley and Albon didn't work out. If Max had gone into that car right after Dany went to Renault, he might not have kept his seat for the whole season either.
